The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

What about this: tell him you're selling them and using CASH to buy a replacment gift.(you're gonna have to lie!) Then get something boring like a tie, and wrap them up with it! I bet he's still surprised!
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Better yet....a tie from the Dollar Store!! ;)

Wait a minute, wait a minute  Who's got that "lovely" sweater???? Borrow it for the holidays and show it to DH. Really work it up on how you found this amazing deal, the perfect present, you know she's gonna love it, your soooo excited, and pull out that sweater as you exclaim its for HIS MOTHER :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just make sure to tape it for us so we can see his face :rotfl2:

That AND the tie! :thumbsup2

Can you tape it with your cell phone? It might be easier to send to us that way.

The funny thing is, I told my DH that I was going to give the sweater to his mom for christmas. He said, "Don't! She will actually wear it!"

The scary thing is...he's right! :scared1:

lol you all are hillarious. DH LOVES ties... so that would be way too nice- haha. He is one of those guys who is all about fashion and clothes and watches and cologne... but he usually just buys something if he wants it. Thats what so tough about buying for him.

Ive never had success with buying for men. My dad is hard as well..:sad2: must be the sperm....

Maggimus- I think what you said might be right- you are expecting a witchy friend and it has you reacting to everything with tears. I'd be peeved too, but give it a few days and if it's the hormones talking you'll know then. Go back a few pages to the post when you found out the tickets went on sale and you so wanted to get them for your DH, but thought you could never get/get for a reasonable price. You got him what he wanted and you got a deal!! :worship: Don't forget that.

Just remember that if you have a son...you'll be forever outnumbered! :rotfl2:

By the way, I am always willing to loan the sweater out for special occasions.

I have had an interesting interaction with Delta Skymiles lately. DH & I both got an email letting us know that they were having a 'special offer' that, if we purchased Delta Skymiles to put in our frequent flyer account before Oct. 31, we would gain a bonus of 1/2 of whatever we purchased. So, I purchased 10,000 miles, expecting a bonus of 5,000 miles, which would be more than enough for a free ticket.

When I made the purchase, only the 10,000 miles were banked into my account. :scratchin I sent them an email asking where the rest of the miles were that needed to be credited into my account and they didn't know what I was talking about (of course). I emailed them a screen-shot of the bonus email I received from Delta and they said they would have to forward it up the line to superiors.

I just checked my account and they only credited me with 3,000 bonus frequent flyer miles. No wonder Delta is having financial trouble....they can't even count!

I am afraid I am going to have to dispute the purchase through my credit card if they don't give me the mileage I was expecting. :headache:

Oh no, I look at is as a punishment at all-I would be more hurt if someone took something away from me that I loved just to see if they get a "better reaction" from me.:flower3:

My DH is emotionless when it comes to those things too- I gave up along time ago. We now just get what we really want throughout the year so we are not 2nd guessing ourselves as to what the other will really like.

Let's just say this- if DH REALLY likes, say, a meal he just had. His response to my question, "Did you like your meal?" would be, "It was alright" Now- I KNOW that means he REALLY liked it:lmao: After 28 years, you just know that is all you are going to get no matter how mad you get:lmao:

My Dh is like that. But his answer to everything is it was okay. :headache:
In man talk that works out be I loved it:lmao:

Have you guys seen the AT&T commercial about the exploding turkey? It is :rotfl2: but I can't find it online. ;)

Ok, one more post and then I am done for a couple of days. :) Tomorrow we move some cattle and that is always a loooong day. :guilty:

DS and I were scanning some photos tonight so I can put these out here. I thought I had already posted these two from Disneyland but I don't find them in my photobucket account. I had uploaded them to the photopass site to add some goodies but you can't get your own photos on the cd....I had to order them in print and scan them.

They are both from our January DL trip and I embellished...

Could DH look any more the Montana tourist with his John Deere tractor t-shirt?? :headache:

I was pretty excited to get our photo near that big Christmas tree!

This is DS with VP Biden from this summer. There are 2 of his friends in the photo, too, but they are both minors and I haven't asked permission to post their photo online so I cropped the edges in to post here.

Maybe if you listen it will get you in the mood!

:lmao: :rotfl2: Mine does! I used to ask him if he liked something I bought for the house and he would always stick his nose up at it. (Like he has any decorating sense or style- he would have liked me to keep the furniture we had since the 80s!:lmao: :rotfl2: )

Well, one day he said something was ugly (and of course, it was NOT:snooty: ) I went OFF on him like you could not believe. I scared myself:scared:

Can I tell you, ever since that DAY any time I ask how he likes something, his response is, "It's BEAUTIFUL!" and he smiles :lmao: :rotfl2:

He has since come around and realizes you cannot keep the same crappy style from the 80s and 90s and it is time to move on:rotfl2:

Men!:snooty:

Has anyone seen In Bruges? It is hysterical, and Colin Farrell is plenty cute in it :lovestruc .

JK for some reason your post just popped in my head and I had to go find it!!! It was on last weeks freebie thread and I wanted to comment then but forgot.

I wanted to tell you ITA, that movie was incredible! I loved Colin Farrell's role- he was funny- but it was pretty disturbing WHY they actually had to BE.........In Bruges!:guilty:
