The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I got the 7 nights for the price of 4!!!!

And the $200 gift card!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

That is SO Awesome! Wish we could take advantage of that. Having a HS kid stinks! (OK, no it doesn't but it's so hard to take off school now. Maybe I can finagle a solo trip:idea: ?)

Maybe you should try to hypnotize him. :confused3

That special makes me so glad that we postponed our trip until march!:cloud9:

Maybe I will GLAMOUR him
blur.gif
(I think I watch too much True Blood:rotfl2: ) He will be skipping through the parks when I am done with him:lmao:

MARNA- your pics are great! The one of the church is very eerie the way it came out!

OMG! I JUST saw that special! That is incredible- and DH said NO WAY are we going! :sad2:

HOW can you pass up something like that!?

Don't feel too bad about it, madd. We have actually been planning to go in May of next year and after getting all the prices and getting so excited, DH tells me(on the phone of course, the coward:headache: ) this morning right before I was getting ready to call, that he "doesn't think we should go next year":sad2: He thinks we need to get rid of more debt before we plan a trip. O......kay, didn't you think we should have talked about that before we told DD we were going for her birthday and before I have been planning for months. I am beyond upset with him now and, of course, in typical male fashion he will act like it's all my fault. And, if there is no WDW for us next year there WILL BE NO beach trip with his family either, even though he told them we would go. The price of spending a week with people I don't really like that much would be about the same as a week at Pop with the DDP. So it ain't gonna happen.

For those of you who have been keeping up with this "Deal"....

What about those who dont want to stay for 7 nights? Does this mean no more codes will be coming out?

Im trying to help my mom... my mom and dad are wanting to take my nephew who is 7 for his first trip. However, they dont want to go but a couple of days (he gets homesick)... and they will have to work it out around when school is out. There is no way they will be going 7 days, 4 at the max (they don't want to pull their hair our- they are grandparents ya know- lol- they have already went through this once with me and my sis). LOL.

I dont keep up with it enough... but i ventured over to the codes board and seems like everything is about this deal. I cant find her any sort of discount or whatever...

Not a bad thing. I wish we could do this deal.
I told DH if I get the okay to return to work I should take a week off and go. :rotfl2: But with him still out of work that is not going to happen

Marna the kids are cute

I wanna go to WDW so bad and DH finally gave me planning go ahead to only tell me last night that I am not to book anything until next year so we can see where things are headed

On a lighter note.....I know what Tori wants for Christmas

Marna, I love the pictures of the kids! You take such good photos! I am like you, I take all our photos and I don't get into any of the pictures. When we went to DL last January, DH got caught up in the fun and was offering to take pictures of other families with their cameras....but he can't center a photo to save his (pick a part of his body!). I was horrified that he kept taking their cameras and saying "ok, smile". :scared:

DH grumbled about going on this last WDW trip in September. He had a great time!! He always does!! On the flight home, he made me promise I wouldn't plan any more trips to WDW for years! :scared1: This package came out yesterday and I told him about it when he got home last night. He just sat there and looked at me: blink...blink....blink, blink....blink! Nothin'! :sad1:

Tori has the most beautiful big brown eyes....and cute smile!! ;)

I got an email from Fandango that if you pre-purchase the ticket to Twilight, you get a code from iTunes to download Bella's Lullaby free. :confused3

Aw, look at Tori. That is so cute. Did she lose them both at the same time?:confused3 And what is the going rate for the Tooth Fairy these days? I need to be prepared.

We need to build a Freap doghouse we can throw the DH's in when they are being a pain. Put mine in first and lock the door because I don't really want to share a bed with him anytime soon. Although it is supposed to get colder this weekend so you might have to let him out at night.:rolleyes1

Maggi-there will be plenty more deals out for next year later on. Everyone is just obsessed with this one right now. Just keep an eye on the Dis and you are guaranteed not to miss anything that comes out.

She lost 1 about 2 months back and the 2nd one she lost at school the other day ~ actually lost the tooth in the playground so we had nothing to give the TF. Michael wrote a sweet letter to the TF telling her exactly where to find the tooth :rotfl2: The tooth fairy gives $2 bills here - something different and only the TF has  Some people do the gold coins too.

And the husbads can just stay in the cold dark basement....no need to be spending any money for their shelter ;)

:rotfl2: Afterall, frugal is the name of the game! :rotfl2:

Today, while I was rifling through the 90% off Halloween junk at Target, my youngest DS calls me. He is still in school at the time so I am wondering what has happened as I answer my phone.

He asks me how I would feel about him missing a week of school in January so he can go to the "inaugural ball" and I just laughed at him. I asked him how he is going to make up a whole week (because this is his senior year and he needs to keep the grades and attendance up for those scholarship applications)!

He continues on, telling me he will have to raise $1500.00, through fund raisers, to pay for his portion of the trip and the Speech & Debate teachers will be the chaperones. Oh, the teachers are going? This will be school sponsored? You won't have to make up a week of school? No, it IS school sponsored and he will be just fine with being out of school that week. Also, (he sees this as a plus), they will be having finals the week he is out of school so it will be just fine!

I said "ok, fine". He asks if he should call his Dad at work and run it by him and I tell him 'yes, he better run it by his Dad' and he thanks me and hangs up. I am then thinking, why does he need to be out of school for a week to go to the Governors' inaugural ball?? Sheesh, that would just be over in Helena....why so long?

I buy my Halloween trinkets and load them up in the car and then give DH a call while I am driving out of the parking lot. I asked him if DS called him about missing the week of school and DH says he did. I laugh and I told him this should be interesting for him....going to the Governors' inauguration....

DH says "what?....what are you talking about? He's not going to Helena....he's going to Washington, D.C.!" Then it was my turn! "WHAT?" DH says a group from DS's school is going to the President's inaugural ball!! How did I miss that little detail!??

So, now, when DS gets home, I have some questions for him! I have no idea how they would be pulling this off!! I would think that something like that would be invitation only. Why on earth would anyone of importance invite a little band of people from a small high school in Montana!???

I hope he gets to go and has a blast.

Thanks! I hope so too. I may just have to give him the good camera and hope he gets tons of pictures. My sons have both lived more interesting lives than I have...and neither one of them is 21 yet! :confused3

Hopefully he gets to go.
They have so many balls and party that they may not be going to the big show but most likely the will see Obama.

You're probably right....that is most likely the case here. I have never been to Washington, D.C. and I am excited for him, just to have the chance to go to Washington! If he actually gets to see a 'somebody'...what an added bonus that will be! ;)

Finally got a chance to upload a photo of my Little Bit for Halloween.

mtnblujeans - how cool for your DS!

Maybe my DD will be there (well, in DC for the inauguration). There is a rumor that their band may be marching in the parade.

THAT would be great!! I would much rather DS were going to participate in this way!! Keep us posted... :goodvibes

Well, we have learned a little bit more about the Washington DC trip....

Apparently, this trip had been planned for months previous. I don't know how DS missed out on hearing about it before. But, now that he knows about it, he really wants to go. It will take some hustle on his part. They have already done their fundraising so he has missed out on that opportunity. He will have to get a job and work every day during Christmas break. Also, there is one teacher and the Dare police officer going as chaperones. The teacher is going to check and see if DS can be "added to the list" of people going with their group. If it is too late to add anyone, DS is out of luck.

I don't like it when the kids do something like this. Trying to 'catch up' when everyone else in the group has been working on it for months and they are all ready to go....it is too stressful. :sad2:

Maybe you should see if they need more chaperones.:confused3 It doesn't hurt to ask and I think everybody should try to visit our nation's capital in their lifetime. I had a really good friend that lived there and used to visit at least one weekend a month. I love it and can't wait to take the kids some day.

I agree that everyone should get there - there is so much to do in DC, and most of it is free! :) Although, can you imagine how crazy it will be during inauguration time? Not the best time to site-see. :scared1:
