And haven't they already proven that prevention saves them $$$???

Kellie, when you go back to work, if you are laid off, will you receive unemployment benefits?

I would but due to being out on medical for these last 5 months it would not be much.

Good morning Freaps! Hope everyone is in a better frame of mind today.:grouphug: I just got off the phone with WDW cancelling our May reservations. I had to wait until I was sure I could do it without crying.:sad2: Now that I've had a few days to think about it, I know it's for the best though. Now I'm gonna hope for free dining in the fall and stick with Pop Century. For a family of four, staying at a value, you really can't beat the price for that. Plus, we LOVED MNSSHP and would love to do it again. DD doesn't even seem to mind missing a birthday trip. Kids are so flexible.:confused3

And, guess what? We are getting our puppy today! :scared1: This is the Great Pyrennees from the same people who had all the pups die from the last batch. They only have one surviving girl this time so we are rescuing her now at 7 weeks before anything bad happens to her. These people use their pair as farm animals but ours will be a spoiled house/guard dog unless I talk DH into letting me get some sheep or goats any time soon(believe me I HAVE actually tried:lmao: ). We don't have a name yet until we see what her personality is. I'm leaning toward Daisy but no one else likes it.:sad2: I will get ya'll pictures as soon as I can.

Sorry you had to cancel your trip. How disappointing.

I see so many people preferring Pop Century. We have never stayed there. What is the difference between Pop and the other values?

I really miss our dog. DH says we can get another pup if we move to a bigger place. That is something to look forward to. :woohoo: I am eager to see your puppy pics. :thumbsup2

If I had a Great Pyrenees, I would name him Mr. Tadakishi.

But, I am a dork. :)

Even if "he" is a "she"?

Susan-I've never actually stayed at any of the values.:confused3 If I were choosing just for me, I would stay at AS Music. It has been renovated recently and looks nice. I think the kids will love POP though, so I want to stay there while they are young enough to enjoy the kitsch of it all and are still small enough that room size won't be a big issue.

Are you still looking at Buffalo as an option. Did my cousin help at all? I hope you find a place soon so you can get a new dog also.

We met a couple of guys that were staying at Pop while we were playing mini golf in September. They said they liked Pop because the rooms were bigger and it had its own transportation/bus. I was just wondering if there were any major differences. ;)

I sent your cousin a couple of emails and he was very nice and helpful in his responses. DH has sat down and made a list of questions he has for him but he hasn't sent them off yet. We would like to meet him while we are there and I probably should say something to him about that.

We are going to go down on Saturday, the 29th, through Billings (DH wants to see some people he knows in Billings) and we will be down in Buffalo Sunday and Monday, heading back Tuesday, I think. :thumbsup2

We greatly appreciate you helping us with this. DH hates the idea of leaving Montana and where ever we end up....there have to be mountains within sight. :rolleyes1

Speaking of dogs..

Have you all been watching this?>
http://cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/4/viewer.45.swf?cid=317016

Ive been addicted since i found it!! Dont forget sound- its the best part. Warning- youll get absolutely nothing done after you start watching it... especially when they start playing (which they do all the time).

They're all sleeping right now.:cloud9: Wonder if I set up a webcam on my kids and asked for sponsors if anyone would?:confused3 Earlier DS stripped off ALL his clothes and was *ahem... touching himself. I'm sure THAT would get a ton of hits.:lmao: BTW, Maggi, we are going to be down in your area the 7th through 9th of December. We got free tickets to Dollywood through Coke Rewards so are going to do that on the 7th to see all the Christmas stuff. We'll probably take the kids up in the tram and ice skate at Ober Gatlinburg on Monday or Tuesday. The only other plans are to eat lunch or dinner at Smokey Mountain Brewing and breakfast one morning at Applewood. I'm very excited. DH and I got engaged in the Smokies Thanksgiving weekend 1999 and we haven't been back during the holidays since then. I can't wait for the kids to see all the lights.

Umm...I think that would be a very popular webcam.

I remember one of my sons "exploring" after I took him out of diapers and put him into 'big boy undies'. He was easily distracted from his curiosity by a toy. I wasn't sure what the meant for him down the road. :confused3

That sounds like such a nice trip! :goodvibes

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MAGGIMUS!

Thank you  DH bought me 2 dozen roses for 2 years... isn't he sweet?
We are going to a really nice restaurant tonight. We have dinner reservations at like 8:30 so it should be fun. I enjoy getting dressed up and going out.

We should meet up! DH works in Sevierville... and we live real close by. If you decide to do anything else let me know- we get local discounts on all tickets- and we have friends that work at some of the attractions. You will have a great time!

Maggi-I'd love to meet up. Since you live there, you probably aren't as excited by those apple fritters at Applewood as I am.:rotfl2: I love those things. And Happy Anniversary!!! I never would have noticed the date on your signature. Thank goodness for mtblu.

Aww the puppies are eating now.. you can hear them. They were really playing well a minute ago.

No No, apple fritters are ALWAYS exciting!:lovestruc
And thank you!

I would but due to being out on medical for these last 5 months it would not be much.
Kellie- Have you looked at SSDI? I know your doctors are very supportive of you, and your bosses have been as well (except for #3....:headache: ), so I'm sure they would support you if you filed a claim. They always get denied the first round through (they went to the same school as the health insurance companies), but they base the decision on the file date, so any $$ received would go retroactive. The amount you receive is also based on your highest quarters, so the last 5 months wouldn't be a huge factor.
When I applied (due to my MS) I was originally denied. I hired an attorney to handle my appeal. I also think that helps with the second round decision. This was 10 years ago back when I was in Boston. If you have any interest in going this route, PM me, I can pass on the name.
