I just got home a little while ago. I had fun. Sally and I eat breakfast then walked around the outlets. Sadly Tink was not feeling good so she was able to join us.

Things have certainly been crazy since we got back from Florida....not all of it good stuff. We had some trouble with our ranching neighbor for about 4 days....let's just say he raises cattle VERY differently than we do.

DH got the little barn painted red and he has to put some white trim on it yet...he needs to build some doors, too. I almost have the quilt finished but it has been cold and rainy since about last Thursday so I haven't been able to get out there and address those finishing touches. It looks pretty good but you can't tell the blue from the green at a distance....oh, well.

I hope we have a few warm days coming up so I can get something painted on the other wall. DH needs to put a second coat of the barn red on, too.

DS is so busy we don't have dinner with him every night any more. His older brother was the same way his senior year. He has finished most of the classes required to graduate so now he is doing a bunch of "fun" stuff but he is really busy and tired. Funny...he volunteered to work when Senator Biden came to town last month and he just showed me a picture of himself and 2 of his friends with the senator. That kid is a hoot!

We haven't heard much from older DS since he left for college. He was expecting this to be a rough year and I wonder how he is doing. He doesn't email me too much if I ask him questions....I don't know if that is a good sign or not.

We are supposed to have snow in the mountains tomorrow or Friday. UGH! I pointed to the national weather map and told DH "look, every place else is in the 70's and 80's....we need to move!" He didn't say anything....

I am waiting for my photopass cd to arrive so I can post some pics. I only have pics of DH on my camera. (He doesn't seem to know how to use a camera!)

Looks like everyone else is busy, too. So, I will share a and a with y'all.

It's supposed to be in the mid-80's here all through the weekend so I keep telling DH WE need to move somewhere colder. I hate hot weather in the fall and winter. It's supposed to be all cold and frosty . I want to bake and make soups and sit in front of the fire with a glass of wine, not hang out on the porch in my shorts drinking a cold beer. Oh well, a Freap's gotta make do, right? Luckily, I do think it is supposed to cool down later next week.

I have just been working and getting ready for our yard sale on Saturday. I am just a TAD but upset with DH b/c he will not be around to make us girls our usual yard sale Mimosas!!!! He is taking his boat out of the water on Saturday and leaving us girls to fend for ourselves- how DARE he have us make our own Mimosas men!

Tomorrow we are doing a day trip to Annapolis MD. We will be home by early evening. Enough time to scramble and get the tables and items out in the driveway for Saturday.

I have just been working and getting ready for our yard sale on Saturday. I am just a TAD but upset with DH b/c he will not be around to make us girls our usual yard sale Mimosas!!!! He is taking his boat out of the water on Saturday and leaving us girls to fend for ourselves- how DARE he have us make our own Mimosas men!

I have never been willing to have a yard sale, but I would consider it if I knew there would be booze involved.

We're going to the fall festival tonight. Last night Chris and I spent more time deciding what we're going to eat there than we do planning a full week of groceries. I still haven't made up my mind...

They have something called "Devil's Knuckles." I'm not sure what they are, but they have to be good.

Believe it or not, the most popular item at the fall festival is a brain sandwich.

People come from all over just to get one. No, I'm not kidding.
