The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

Hey everyone,
We are home. I thought I would post a couple of pictures. I need to read back and see what my freaps have been up to all weekend. The first one is from the rehersal dinner of making spoons stick to your nose. This is DD and my nephew Dan's son Brair

See Brair can do it. I finally got it after a couple of drinks.:rotfl2:

This one is of my nephew David and his bride Nina. My nephew Dan is on the left and Nina friend Shannon is on the right

Hi Kellie!

Boy, Shauna has talent!:dance3: :rotfl2: Actually I was watching Chocolat last night and the little boy in the movie was trying to do the spoon trick!

The bride and groom look great!

So- did you enjoy yourself!?

Good Monday Morning Vietnam...I mean fellow freapers! :goodvibes

Looks like you had a good time Kellie! I hope it made you feel a little better and not too worn out!

Jeankeri~My daughter was using the proactive and then we found that the acne free from Walmart seemed to work even better and cost a little less. But we also use Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser/mask. I don't know if you could get your son to use a mask, but maybe if you just buy it and leave it in the bathroom he would read the instructions and do it privately?

Gotta run guys. Just found out that Steve and Barry's is closing and my daughter loves the jeans from there, so I'm gonna hit the road and see if I can get her some before they're all gone!

What a good mom

Is something wrong? Now I'm gonna be worried.....:guilty:

I am fine. A little wiped out but it was so worth it. We had a great time. Shaunna and I went shopping Saturday and found a cool store called Blast from the past. It has everything from old TV and movies. They also sell these very cool hand painted glasses. I brought one for DD birthday. It is a Maranti glass that pianted as a Birthday girl glass.

This is DH with Brair. Brair is such a good boy. He fell asleep during the wedding so Uncle John carried him out.

He loves uncle John. This boy is so well behaved and never acts up.

I am glad that you had a good time Kellie and the Pictures are wonderful. Update on Butchie he is doing mildly better but looks completely silly with my whack shave job. Off to classes will check in tonight.
I love the jeans from steve and barrys too I hope mine doesn't GOB

Whew...having a hard time catching up with ya'll.:lmao: That's what I get for going AWOL this weekend I guess. I worked late on Saturday and then had bookclub with all my best girlfriends yesterday. Our book this time was Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. It was an awesome book from the perspective of Frank Lloyd Wright's mistress. We all pored over pictures of FLW's work and planned road trips to go visit some of them. We also ate huge amounts of yummy food, including sushi(which I just learned to make yesterday:banana: ), and one of the girls made Wedding Day martinis which were sooo good. It was vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and amaretto which sounds kind of icky to me but were yummy.

As for the GARB panel, I don't know what answers they are looking for.:confused3 I answer truthfully and have gotten in twice. For the record, I never buy undies at Victoria's Secret or any fancy-schmancy places, usually JC Penneys, Kohls, etc. The first set they sent me were cotton and were sort of atractive. This last bunch are some kind of synthetic fiber and are of the granny panty variety. I think they are supposed to be the kind that doesn't show seams, which is not something I worry about in my jeans or sweats.:lmao: I wish I could get in on some free bra study since I REALLY need some new ones.

Welcome turning40!!!!

 To all that are having doggie, weather, eye, teenager or any other problems I've missed.

I just took a huge step(for me)this morning and have been on the phone trying to track down my training records from when I worked as a forest ranger. Next year, DH has agreed that I can plan to go out West on fire details to make some extra money!!!! I have really been missing it lately and I feel like the kids are old enough for me to abandon them for 2 weeks a couple times a year. I would be able to make as much money in a couple of 2 week details as I do working part-time ALL year right now. I may have to pay for a couple of trainings this winter out of my own pocket to catch up on some things but I think it would be worth it. One of my best friends is the Assistant Fire Management Officer for the Daniel Boone National Forest and she is in charge of finding people when NIFC(National Interagency Fire Center) needs people to go somewhere. She is helping me figure out what I am certified to do and what trainings I'll need. Do ya'll think I'm senile? :confused3 Here I am getting ready to turn 40 and planning something crazy like this.

Marna! No WAY are you insane for wanting to go back to fighting fires! That is SO exciting!

Now- can you do the fire fighting or be a Forest Ranger in Kentucky???:confused3

I definately DON"T want to go back to work as a Forest Ranger. It was very stressful and I really don't want a full time job. I'm quite happy at home and haven't given up on my dream of my bakery business. I just want to go out West a couple times of year because the $$ is so good and I love the excitement of the big fires. I wouldn't mind helping out some here if they have a bad fire season as long as they don't expect too much commitment out of me.:confused3

I'm back from Steve and Barry's. Sure enough ours is GOB for good. The cashier said they're not all closing just 100 stores. The good news is I got 7 pairs of jeans for $66.00    I was only going to get my daughter some, but it was such a good deal that I tried some on myself and liked them so I got 2 pairs for myself! Oh...and I found a pair of gorgeous Anne Klein shoes next door at Marshalls on sale for $10.00!   I don't get to go shopping much anymore with the economy the way it is so I'm feeling very happy right now! I'm on a SHOPPERS HIGH!

Marna- I think you're wanting to do that is very cool; I've always wondered where they got all the temporary firefighters when they are fighting those out of control fires. Just let us know when you're going so we can send good thoughts your way! :flower3:
Update on my eye- I am now completely blind in the left eye :headache: . Now starts the 3 week slow return to normal. My boys are still being troopers- imagine an 11 & 12 year old not worried if the house is getting picked up every day :lmao: .
Well- I'm off to save a spot on the couch- Sara Conner Chronicles season premiere is tonight. I must know what happened to Cameron. popcorn::

Whoa!!! Did you say this is from your MS???

I am so sorry- has it ever taken this long to come back????:confused3

Hi ladies!
Sorry about your vision, jeankeri. I hope the return is speedier than three weeks. Since school started my house has done a rapid decline in cleanliness (should be the opposite, kids away all day, house is cleaner, but I teach, and have no time or desire to tidy up all night long).

Wedding photos are beautiful!

I hadn't heard Steve and Barry's was closing......hope not all of them, though I rarely get to any stores myself, the kids are not fun shoppers and it just isn't worth the battle most days.

Today was the first night of swim practice, starting at 5, so my DD9 had a "dinner" of creamed corn, salt and vinegar chips, and a chocolate ice cream cone right after school. I'm expecting the delivery of my "mother of the year" award any day now. After practice is homework hell, which usually lasts right up till bedtime.

At least the weather here is still great, no rain from Gustav or any of his relatives, and the leaves will soon be gorgeous colors.

That sounds like how I eat. But without the creamed corn. Oh, and substitute jalapeno chips for the salt and vinegar ones.
