Jeankeri-I am so sorry about your vision problems. That has to be so weird feeling, not having sight in that one eye for so many days. I hope it doesn't take that long to come back. I am also sorry about the house party thing! I have just about given up applying-i have never been accepted for any of them.

pperfectmom-that is so cool that you are going back in! I know they always need more firefighters. You gotta do what you love, life is way too short not too!

We don't have a Steve and Barry's near here (probably closest one is near Debii) and I have never been in one but probably a good thing!

Okay so here is my sob story! I have been having problems with my neck shoulder and left arm, resulting in numbness in my index and middle finger (Its been three weeks today since this began). I had an MRI after X-Ray didn't show up anything and I have a genetically small spinal column and a bulging disc which is pinching a nerve in my genetically small spinal column. I am now in physical therapy and getting better but still not quite there yet-still have numbness in my fingers. I have got to get better by two weeks, that is when I go back to AL to work my sisters' consignment sale and make the money for our Disney trip!

I am sorry to hear about that! Just stick with the PT- It does really help.

Oh and one other thing I forgot to post last week! We had some excitement here. I think it was Thursday, I let Max out because he was whining to go out and a couple of minutes later he started barking and he doesn't typically bark. I went outside to see what he was barking at and look what I found coming into our yard!!!!

We live near a golf course so I guess he was making his way over to there but WOW! I never expected to see one coming under our fence into the backyard! He eventually found his way out in a small opening in the back and ended up in our neighbors pool. I don't know what happened to him after that.

Update on my eye- I am now completely blind in the left eye . Now starts the 3 week slow return to normal. My boys are still being troopers- imagine an 11 & 12 year old not worried if the house is getting picked up every day

Hi ladies!


Today was the first night of swim practice, starting at 5, so my DD9 had a "dinner" of creamed corn, salt and vinegar chips, and a chocolate ice cream cone right after school. I'm expecting the delivery of my "mother of the year" award any day now. After practice is homework hell, which usually lasts right up till bedtime.

Welcome to my world! I have 2 swimmers so I feel your pain. It makes dinner something of a challenge doesn't it?? Mine eat so much junk some days. Snacks after school and before practice, then I have to have food ready righht after practice or they'll eat anything and everything in sight. They've had meals similar to those your DD ate tonight!
