Marna- I think you're wanting to do that is very cool; I've always wondered where they got all the temporary firefighters when they are fighting those out of control fires. Just let us know when you're going so we can send good thoughts your way! :flower3:
Update on my eye- I am now completely blind in the left eye :headache: . Now starts the 3 week slow return to normal. My boys are still being troopers- imagine an 11 & 12 year old not worried if the house is getting picked up every day :lmao: .
Well- I'm off to save a spot on the couch- Sara Conner Chronicles season premiere is tonight. I must know what happened to Cameron. popcorn::
I am sending you good thoughts. I hope things get better soon.

You two are making me hungry. I could go for some cream corn.

Now to catch up:

Kellie-I have loved seeing the pics. It looks like you had a good time. So no sand in strange places?:
No I stayed away from the beach.:rotfl2: I never even went out on my brother in laws boat:sad1:

Oh and one other thing I forgot to post last week! We had some excitement here. I think it was Thursday, I let Max out because he was whining to go out and a couple of minutes later he started barking and he doesn't typically bark. I went outside to see what he was barking at and look what I found coming into our yard!!!!

We live near a golf course so I guess he was making his way over to there but WOW! I never expected to see one coming under our fence into the backyard! He eventually found his way out in a small opening in the back and ended up in our neighbors pool. I don't know what happened to him after that.
He is kinda cute but as long as he is not lurking in my yard:rotfl2:

Hey all, have you been to house party site recently? They have a new house party, it's called "Ford Warriors In Pink House Party". It sounds really cool here is the description from their page
http://www.houseparty.com/splash/fordwarriorsinpink

Supporter... Fighter...Survivor... However the battle against breast cancer fits into your life, Ford supports your cause.

Host a Ford Warriors in Pink House Party, and have a blast raising awareness while showing off your favorite Ford vehicle. Your party will watch Kath & Kim -- NBC's new comedy featuring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair -- and show your support for breast cancer awareness. Enjoy a free party pack filled with great gifts from Ford Warriors in Pink. Treat your guests to a test drive in your Ford vehicle, allowing them a chance to win a 2009 limited edition Ford Mustang with Warriors in Pink package!

Question.......What do they mean showing off your favorite ford vehicle and treat your guests to a test drive in your Ford vehicle? Do you have to have a Ford vehicle? Maybe you get a rental for free (that would be nice, since I don't have a car). Or are they giving away free cars?????????

That's not possible, because they are giving that convertible to me!

Happy Birthday Tinkerbean! And I'm up for a girls day out at JD's water park too! I could say a lot of things here but I better not.:rolleyes1

I got my rejection notice for several house parties yesterday. I don't think I'll ever get in.:sad2: I am trying again for the Grey Poupon so we'll see...

DD and DS had their first soccer game last night. I'll try to post photos later. They were so cute. Since they are both in the under 6 league they get to be on the same team which makes it a lot easier on us. Unfortunately, they seemed to have gotten the athletic part of their genetic material from their mother. I'm hoping they get better but at least they have fun.

Marna- my niece played soccer for like, 10 minutes!:lmao: You can just tell she did NOT want to be out there. However, once she took up Karate- you can tell that is where she wanted to be! She did a 180!

I guess they need to find their niche!

(Listen to me, like I know my kid stuff:lmao: )

Well, if I don't get the Pink Warrior invite, they better at least send the invite to Kellie! My luck they will probably only pick people that have Ford vehicles and there ain't no Ford in my family! (But I'd take it if it was free!)

Whoa!!! Did you say this is from your MS???

I am so sorry- has it ever taken this long to come back????:confused3
This happened 12 years ago, and was actually how I was diagnosed. It's called optic neuritis. The vision gets worse over about 4 days until it's basically dark grey in my eye, then returns to (hopefully) normal in 3-4 weeks. The first time it happened- really freaky. Now things pop up out of the blue and it's an annoyance until it goes away. This past April the left side of my mouth up to my earlobe was numb for 3 weeks, just like I had gotten novacaine. I didn't enjoy that too much. :headache:
However, in the scheme of things, I consider myelf pretty lucky. I can play with my kids, I can walk around, drive my car, go on vacation. I haven't had any deficits hang on when a flare up ended. It may not always be that way, but I'll do all that I can as long as I'm still able to. :thumbsup2 (I only take to the couch when I miss a houseparty sign-up...:lmao: ).

You just keep on movin'! My SIL was dx with fibromyalgia- she did have to get tested for MS also.

She just comes home from work and then crashes on the sofa and is always saying she can't do anything. I think you and Kellie should pay her a visit and show her how to "keep going"

In no way am I saying that I know how bad her pain is, but I think if you let the pain get to you....it will run your life. She never wants to do anything anymore....:guilty:

You guys are awesome!:dance3:

To quote my 12 year old's computer speak:
OMFG!

Uh-Oh! Let's just hope DS does not know what the F stands for!:lmao:

What am I saying?- he is 12! He probably knows more dirty words than ME!

ETA- do you know that you can't type WT (F) on the DIS? It will give you a **** That is crazy!

Pink for you :wizard:. I'll take the black one :wizard:. Boy I wish it was that easy:lmao:.
You mean it is not that easy:lmao:

I worked with a guy who has MS. He finally had to retire due to the fact that his leg was in bad shape. But he went thru the eye trouble before.
If things keep up with me getting house party reject letts I am going to rock in the corner.:rotfl2:

I thought the omfg stood for
Oh MY Free Gum.:rotfl2:
At 12 he probably know more dirty words than me also:rotfl2:

My MIL has juvenile diabetes and she has a lot of problems with her eyes- diabetic retinopathy. She sees red sometimes from the blood in her retina:guilty:

She is in her 60s and she has had diabetes since she was in her early 20s- she pushes through every day without any complaints. :worship:

We say the expression, "You're SOL". My DS11 informed me (when he was 9), "It does NOT mean Sucker Out of Luck, Mom".

WE have a big huge white board in the basement (the playroom, rec room, whatever you want to call it) and the kids love to draw and write on it. The other day, after DD14 had a sleepover I saw the phrase "had bed fun" :confused3  :rotfl: Poor girl. That prompted another one of THOSE talks. You know--the kind where I have to corner her in the car so she's a captive audience and can't walk out of the room!
