The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

I might be willing to share extra Cartoon Network Star Wars: The Clone Wars stuff. Don't know what there will be and how many people DD and DS will want to have come over that night, but I'll keep you posted.:hippie:

I just went thru my bathroom closet. I have soooooo much stuff I'm gonna have to donate some of it. It's quite funny, really. I get lots of free things from Walgreens (heck, sometimes they pay me to take that stuff out of the store:rotfl: byt the time I use sales, coupons, and rebates!) And DH never runs out of razors:lmao: or stuff to take with him when he travels.

I need to redo the shelf paper on those closet shelves. Would it be weird if I used Disney Princess shelf paper?:confused3 My "princess" is 14 and so not into the princesses (or pink) anymore, but I miss them!

Keep me in mind if you need a home for some Star Wars stuff. :)

If you want to mail me some photos of before and during and after, I'll be happy to put together a little book for you.

 I am so sorry you guys are going through this. I had never heard of this infection so I looked it up. It sounds like the worst of it is keeping the puppy from itching himself. :guilty: I hope he dries up pretty soon and all the irritation goes away quickly.

We are STILL painting that barn! :headache: My gosh, DH is a slave driver! :rotfl:

I had painted the primer on the 8' area and then painted the whole thing with white paint, thinking it would act as a second coat of primer. NO. The other colors don't really want to cover the white paint. I am having to do coat after coat of color to cover up the white all the way. :sad2: I won't do the other side like that! Grrrrr....!

I still need to put a couple more coats of green and blue but here it is...almost getting there:

And DH isn't waiting for me anymore. He, DD, and DS have been slapping barn red paint on the other sides as fast as they can:

I clearly won't get to the other end until we get back. I just hope the cold weather stays away until October. It was raining this afternoon while we were doing some of the painting. After I throw a couple more slaps of color on there, that's it for awhile. I still need to do :laundy: and pack before we leave next week. I still feel in :scared1: mode! :rotfl2:

Oh no! Poor pup! Did you take him to the vet?

Lookin' Good! Just concentrate on your trip right now- worry about the painting when you get back! You might even forget about the barn while in Disney!:dance3:

I have been enjoying the freebies for half a year, and racking up posts on my own random thread, but it seems like you freaps have a good time chatting so I thought I would join in!

Welcome!!!

Madd we did take him to the vet. they wanted to dip him in sulfer and I said no way that stuff is toxic. So we are doing home remedy that a few others have had success with. He is doing better now that he has taken a benadryl and I rubbed him down with an oatmeal talc. Thanks for the nice thoughts everyone. Natalie is alot calmer now so the evening is winding down alot better than it starter. I love me freap family :cutie:

Go, have fun:cool2: and then work when you come back
:upsidedow

I'm looking for lime green shoes to go with Dd's homecoming dress. it's black with lime green sash/bow and green polka dots. I'm not haveing much luck. Any ideas where I can search? I've tried shoebuy, shoemall, zappos, and several others. Trying not to spend a fortune, too. What do you think?
http://www.overstock.com/Clothing/Liliana-by-Adi-Low-Heel-Embellished-Sandals/3235166/product.html The second one actually cost more then the dress (we found an awesome sale at the end of July on the dress!)

:grouphug: I hope the poor thing feels better soon.

I took this picture this morning at the zoo. It made me smile.

If that doesn't make you smile, I'll be forced to find the picture of the World's Ugliest Sweater again.

I could try this- here honey, hold your glass of wine and go stand on your boat- I can hide somewhere
smileystalkeruw5.gif
and snap away in hopes he would eventually get to that position, you know, shirt off, hand on hip and face in the sun :lmao:

Well you'd have to give him a few "starter" glasses of wine first and then send him up on the boat.....he'd be less inclined to question you then:lmao:

Theresa, it sounds like you are headed in the right direction with your pup. I'll bet the benadryl will help alot. :thumbsup2

Alesia, not that sweater!! :scared1:

Mdrob214, It might just be me but the shoes in both links look the same? :confused3 But, I like the shoes you linked to. :goodvibes

If I don't make it back here before we leave everybody stay safe, throw one back for me, and keep posting so I have lots to catch up on when I get back! :grouphug:

:grouphug: on the puppy!!! Hopefully with his new haircut he will recover quickly!!!

Have a good trip to the mecca....it's still a ways off for us :guilty: but then it should be a debt free trip so I try to put that twist on it to brighten me up about it being so long since the last one (05).

Everyone be safe with all these awful storms...we had some major rain last night and some wind but not too bad...we only ended up with 1 kid in bed with us because he thought he saw lightening  That doesn't happen too often so it's nice to still hold that special place sometimes. They get too big too quickly!

DS's football game got pushed back an hour :headache: I wouldn't have minded if you told me LAST night but I already got up at 6AM on a SUNDAY and now we have to hang around for an hour before we can leave now...DD was not happy about getting up either so that would have been nice to leave her sleep a little longer too!

Theresa- My beagle has been scratchy/miserable for the past week, but nowhere as bad as your baby. I have to give my girl an oatmeal bath now; the thought of that is stressful enough, I can't imagine having to do a full clipping. I'll be having good thoughts for you guys!!:flower3:

Yeah, those are the same shoes! But they are cute....have you investigated getting a pair dyed to match. I know they do that at several of the mall type shoe stores. They definately have them at Payless and probably others as well....:confused3

oops! you guys are right--I posted the same link twice. After all the time I spent searching online for those shoes last night, she looked at Target this morning and found a pair. It's fine, really, since they were cheaper than all the others and they arre cute, too--just not the lime green she originally wanted.

Sigh! 14 year-olds!

Hey freaps. I gotta share something. My DS12 (to be 13 next month) has become a new man. :goodvibes The little guy of mine who has spent the past few years with hunched shoulders trying to disappear suddenly has a bit of confidence and is taking an interest in how he looks. He asked for help finding a face scrub. He asked to get his hair cut. We went shopping for clothes today and he searched the racks and went to the dressing room and everything. I am so happy for him right now. I've always been a little worried about his self-esteem since he never wanted to bother, and I wouldn't push anything on him so as not to give him a complex- you know, let him know he is loved no matter what. But I also knew what kids could say to him and would worry depending where he was.
So, right now I am a pretty happy mom, and can let that big breath out!!! :lovestruc

I was just wondering why we don't have many bouncing BOO Mickey heads here yet?

Is ok to just start by sending them out?

Good for him! Maybe he has an eye on someone  I have never tried the product but I know a GF who swears by the proactive system if he has spotty skin/acne patches. She's been using it for years & I do remember when she wasn't using it her skin didn't look bad but it was patchy esp. around that time. And good for you to not emphasize looks but who he is. Kids and even adults can be cruel and it's hard to be a parent and watch it.
