The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

Everyone's kids look so cute! I miss mine being at that cute stage. This year they wore black robes and white face paint:confused3 Just not as cute.

Yeah, my boys dressed like that too - except they had scary masks instead of the face paint. My littlest wouldn't even wear her costume, she refused! We brought her out anyway, but she didn't want to trick-or-treat either. Maybe next year! She's definitely living up to her "terrible two" moniker.

Marna ~ are you using the camera cable or your memory card to upload your photos? If all else fails, maybe you can take your memory card to someplace that lets you upload digital photos and transfer your photos to a cd for a fair price. My laptop has a memory card slot, which I just love but I would be in a panic if the program didn't kick in when I put the card in. :scared:

I have been keeping wine bottles with the idea of breaking them and making a small mosaic at a back patio. I also use wine bottles to put my cooking oil in beside the stove. Too bad I couldn't pass some on to you.... :goodvibes

I didn't fare through the terrible two's and three's very well with my kids. It's a wonder we all survived. It would be one thing if you only had the 2 yo or 3 yo but when you add other kiddos to the mix and you have things to do involving the other kids or other people, stringing the little one up begins to sound like a reasonable action. :rolleyes1

I just tried it with the camera cable. I'm going to have techno guru DH try to do it when he gets home from work. He is soooo much better at that sort of thing(and he owes me for having to dig out 6-7 year old wine bottles from our shed and scrubbing on them all day.:headache: I'm still not sure we even have enough yet.

As for the terrible two's, my DS hit them at birth and hasn't stopped yet at almost 4 years old.:sad2: Since the time changed he thinks it's perfectly acceptable to be up at 6:00 and still isn't taking naps. So he'll probably try to crash around 7 tonight and I'll have to fight to keep him awake. These ****** legislators should have to deal with kids every time the stupid time changes.:headache: I bet they would pick a time and stick with it after one cycle.

Marna you sound like me on the picture thing.
I can never get photo buck to work for me. So I always have to have DD load them for me. She shakes her head at me everytime.:rotfl2:
Now onto the wine If you do not have enough bottles I think us freaps should do a road trip and drink it all with you;)

Okay is anyone else finding the smileys messed up?

I work the election tomorrow and I have to get up in 4 hours to get ready for the day. I am so wound up with anticipation of the outcome of the election I can't get to sleep! :scared:

Get out there and vote, if you haven't already!

We are waiting for DD to get out of class. She wanted a absatie ballot but my town messed it up. So DH will pick her up when she gets out of class. Then we will walk to the school we vote at. The parking over there is so bad that it is less painful to walk.
Last time DD voted the carded her. It was kinda funny.
Oh on a good note she meet a boy. (well that is what DH calls him) He lives on her street and is a couple years older than her. Right now he is doing his redincey at one of the Boston Hospitals

How nice that you all get to go together. Natalie went with me and I really enjoyed showing her the process and letting her have a say in the voting process as well. On the Boy issue that is so nice and he sounds like he has brains :rotfl: I am so not ready for that stage yet.

He is a nice guy. But DD is so focused on getting into law school that she is not looking for a love life.
But she said they are just taking it slow.He just got out of Med school. So he kinda has his hands full right now also

UGH! I just got home- I had to run to my office and then stop at the bank- I was zinging through the bank parking lot heading for the drive through and all of sudden I ran over something? I did not see anything in the parking lot? Then I heard is......hisssssssssssssssssssssssss- my tire went flat in one second! greaaaaaaaaaat:rolleyes:

I got out to see what the heck I ran over and I have no idea what it was- but it had a sharp metal piece on it- I saved it for DH b/c I KNOW he will want me to describe it!:rotfl2: Men:laughing:

Called AAA and waited an hour. But the good thing was, I just picked up a huge pile of work at my office so I was chillin' in my car working on it. AAA came after 50 minutes and all is well.

But- get this- do you know who stopped and asked me if I needed help? (I had my flashers on) WOMEN!- OLDER WOMEN! 2 separate times! Us gals have to stick together!:grouphug:

BTW- Terersa- congrats on your new job! and Kellie- keep an eye on that boy!

Ughh.. glad it all worked out! Three cheers for triple A :) That's really nice that those ladies came to help you. I guess they know what it's like.

Wow.. I voted absentee last week, but my boys' bus stop is right next to where we go to vote. We were there at quarter to 9 this morning and here's what the crowd was like!

It was a pain getting around there, cars were parked everywhere!

I only see a red x :guilty:

We got very lucky this morning! I think as it gets later in the day- more people will start showing up after work. I am glad I did it early!

I love Michael Moore- and he was saying we should have Election Day on a Saturday so more people get the chance to vote. I know people do work on Saturdays, but I think more people would show up at the polls on a Saturday.:confused3

We have early voting here too - I thought everyone would have voted by now. Crazy - it is good to see though. In 2004 DH and I were the only ones in the place who were voting when we went, about 6 PM. He missed an election once - late getting home from work - so we just get the absentee ballots now to be safe.

Just a thought, but did anyone else have to vote IN A CHURCH?

My polling place is in a Church of God building. Literally, I had to walk down the aisle of the church, go to the alter, turn, and check in....

So much for keeping religion out of politics:rolleyes1

I have seen them in schools and our polling place is a fire hall- but never heard of a church.

OMG- :lmao: maybe you were dupped- you know how they say the opposing parties may try and lure voters away or make phone calls to deter you- you were led into a church! It was not a real voting location:rotfl: Did they have the confessional turned into a voting machine- THAT should have been your first clue!

I KID everyone- ;)
