What ya doing?

What ya wearing?

What great memories do you have?

My first scary memory is watchin Whatever Happened to Baby Jane!

For you youngins Baby Jane is a cult classic starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, the only movie they made together. If you haven't seen it, run and rent it now!!!!

For you fans, here is a great video some guy made. There is a 30 second thing before and after with some foul language, so beware the R rating!

I'm headed to the MNSSHP on Tuesday (the 23rd) and for Halloween we're probably heading down to a haunted house in Downtown Davenport (what there is of Downtown...).

http://www.bludzwurth.com is the haunted house we're going to.

Let's see I am wearing shorts and an orange shirt with Timon on it. Gabby is going to be dressed in her Jack Skellington outfit that includes a Jack shirt, black shorts with thin grey stripes, skull boxers, and skull shoes. We are going to be at Epcot and MGM this Halloween.

I hate it that we are missing Halloween here at home. We had so much fun scaring the kids in the neighborhood last year! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Have you seen the Campaign to Save Halloween?
http://www.myspace.com/campaigntosavehalloween Melissa Carter, an out lesbian DJ that you may have heard of on the radio show Twist, is out to save the holiday by trying to stop the stores from merchandising Christmas so freakin early! I know that I am already tired of seeing ornaments and lights in the stores here. :sad2:

As for Baby Jane....um, it's a classic. I have to admit that I have never watched it. I know, I am a bad lesbian. Maggie

We'll be at the Adventurers Club, both of us dressed in doctor's scrubs and lab coats (I'm all about costumes that are comfortable, have pockets and let me wear my white Nikes). We'll probably be calling ourselves "Gay's Anatomy". :rotfl2:

Speaking of scary Halloween programming, we purchased and watched the Paul Lynde Halloween Special on DVD this weekend. It's campy as all get out but oh my is it BAD. The highlight of course is seeing Margaret Hamilton in "Wicked Witch" drag and Billy Hayes as Witchipoo.

I have a thing for doctors. It makes for akward physicals...

I have absolutely no clue what I'm wearing. My curly red hair and facial hair (which stays, so don't bother suggesting its removal!) kinda limit the costumes I can effectively pull off. My fallback is either Napoleon Dynamite for the third time, or a ninja.

I could also try my zombie doctor again. That was pretty nifty.

Lets see im wearing a bear in the big blue house costume :) , my partner tigger and my kids cinderella, marie and lightening mcqueens pit crew.

Im going to be trick or treating with 3 year olds, should be a wild one:thumbsup2

My first scarey movie was called dont be afraid of the dark, I think thats what it was called. Little people came out of the fireplace and tryed to drag the owners into the fireplace. Terrifing at the time LOL

DD and I will be at MNSSHP on the 31st....I could just not wear make up and that's scary enough in and of itself (sadly..I usually don't!), but for something a little different I had shirts made up that say "Call Me Princess" and we'll be wearing our rhinestone tiaras!

Yup, that's the movie!! I have it on VHS :thumbsup2

"Sally...come here Sally..."

My first scary movie was "The Blob" Oooooooh, it was awful.

I'll be here at home -- handin' out treats and looking like a chubby version of Big Edie (No costume; just my normal ole disheveled grandma self)

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane!

She went on to play Letha in "Return from Witch Mountain."

We are going to stay home and hand out candy to the beggers... er... trick or treaters.

We are such boring homebodies. But it is Ginger's favorite holiday! Dozens of people come to her door, ring the "magic bell" and she gets to meet and greet everyone.

My macaw (who is normally shy and hates strangers) also loves Halloween. He likes to show off for all the kids that come to "visit him." He'll even say "hello" "up-up" "brat" and some o fhis other mumblings to them. This from the bird who only talks when no one is in the room.

Honestly, do you even have the hat?:thumbsup2
Sadly, not anymore -- we useta have the mother of all sombreros ( 4' diameter easy) out in the shed -- but we gave it away to some lil kids at a yardsale a few years ago...

I suppose I could wear my Bwana Mama Pith helmet...:scratchin

We'll be going to the "Big Hair - Big Scare 2" drag show down town. The group that throws the show goes all out. It should be lots of fun.

We are avoiding the city like the plague. Too many drunk college kids, too many drunk other folks, too many drunk drunks. We're just going to stay home and eat all the candy because no one trick or treats in our neighborhood but we still buy the mega bags from BJ's anyway for fear of getting egged. And Joe asked me to come home early that day in case any of his students trick or treat. He doesn't want them to know where he lives.

Can't blame him.
