Hi!

I just got back from my very first gyno appointment.
It wasn't as bad as I thought. The spreader thing hurt a little, and they did a PAP smear, which hurt too. But it was really fast.

Oh my goodness! Lol, spreader thing sounds really bad!

I cannot even imagine what somebody scraping my cervix would feel like, ew.

I'm glad it went okay Julie, did you get your problems taken care of?

Well I guess pressure wouldn't be too bad then. Yeah during the PAP smear they have to scrape your cervix so I can see how that would hurt.
My problem is that I would tense up & I've been told many times before that you need to just relax your muscles or else it will hurt.

Yeah, it's so much better to be relaxed. But I wasn't..at all. lol I tried to, but then she would move her finger and it would freak me out and I'd get all tense again..lol

Like the biggest thing that has ever been in there has been super tampons, and they aren't that big..lol So having her use the spreader thing, and stick two fingers up there was quite a jolt when you're all tensed up..lol

And omg..I KNOW!! Guys should have to do something really painful and awkward too..

The spreader isn't the worst. It's just continuous pressure. But she only kept that in there for the PAP smear, then she took it out and used her fingers to make sure everything felt right.

And the cervix part was probably the worst. That was more painful than the spreader, but it just didn't last as long. Though I can still kinda feel it, because obviously it's a little sore because it hard part of it scraped off..lol

And yeah, my doc put me on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which also FDA approved to clear up acne, which I still kinda stuggle with. So I'm happy. My periods will now be regular again, and hopefully my face will be clear from now on =)

You won't have to go until you have problems with your period or you want to be sexually active, I suppose. Unless your mom wants you to have your first exam at like 18 or something.

Personally, I'd push for waiting until the last possible moment...haha

Mine usually comes in the middle.

Hmm well I did have a new guy for a while, but then I got screwed over by him recently. So it's just been boy drama as usual. Other that nothing new has really happened. lol What about you?
