Ok, I have a major rant!!!

So, I've been buying things for my apartment and my parents have been helping me get it all together. Well, my dad made a stop at CVS pharmacy to get my allergies pills, ect and what else does he bring home? A PREGNANCY test! I asked him why he bought it and he said, I'd probably need it sooner rather than later because DBF got a space in the same apartment complex that I'll be living in.

I just hate the fact that he doesn't trust me about anything, and really I am an adult, so even if I did come home preggo, he couldnt do anything about it.

He was being totally serious! It makes me so very angry!! I mean he thinks my dbf is fine, but I think he is upset with me when I got back together with ryan. (if you all don't know we split up for 8.5 mo) He thinks there are better guys out there, blah blah blah. But what I dont understand is that ryan went with my dad and brothers on a camping trip and they all had a blast, so i am a bit confused.

And i wish he was kidding.

He's just being a typical dad. My dad likes my BF, but doesn't at the same time. My BF will NEVER measure up to the standards my dad has for me. So I can KIIIINDA understand why your dad is acting that way. But he should still respect you and trust you in THAT particular department of life, and not be a jerk and buy you pregnancy tests.

Its the whole trust issue thing thats getting to me. But I'm a person who that hates to disappoint so it makes it worse. It also probably doesnt help that I'm the oldest too.

I'm exactly the same way. I HATE disappointing other people. It's destroys me. So I can totally relate to how this could bother you so much.

As soon as I told my parents that Armando and I were a couple, my mom sat me down and lectured me about sex. I can understand that one time, but no...almost everytime his name comes up, she brings up sex. And now it's worse because I just went on the pill so regulate my periods (college and stress caused them to be really irregular) and now the sex talks are a gajillion times worse. I told them time, and time again, that I will make sure I am 100% safe when I do decide to have sex. But it's not gonna happen for a while. So my 'rents don't trust me with that whole subject either.

My parents have just recently said "It's okay for you to date guys you know", and I'm almost 15. I've told them tons of times that I wouldn't bring home anyone they wouldn't approve of, but I can bet they still don't trust me.

Oh, I've heard pleanty of stories! lol We talked alot about what my parents did when I went off for my freshman year of college.

And when I went to the GYN this past spring she gave me the whole safe sex talk too, because she knew I had a bf.

Same! I'm pushing it now. My BF is Guatemalan. I hear about it all the time from my dad and my one brother.

Luckily, I have some sympathy from my oldest brother. His wife is French, so he knows what it's like to be with an immigrant..haha
