Hi, I am new to this thread, but just wanted to add (tho you guys probably already know) that Maya is one of the new Charlies Angels for the upcoming tv series..so I think Edward and Ethan will have to forge a new "deal"..unless Ethan leaves with her, Luke style.

Or the could recast...:confused3 But Krissy is turning 18 soon, so probably she's a "go" with Ethan...

ok...so confused. Why did Brenda need Sonny to forgive her?? I don't understand what he was supposed to be upset about? She and Dante didn't have an affair...right?

They didn't have an affair, but she hid the fact she was pregnant and that Dante pretended to be the father.

What I don't understand is, if Brenda miscarried, why would Dante need to pretend to be the baby's father and relinquish all rights to the child?:confused3

They didn't have an affair? Did this just come out today? I haven't watched Friday or Monday's show yet.

That's a bummer. It would have been much more interesting if they had.

It just came out today that they didn't have an affair, but she asked him to do her the favor of covering up who the father of her baby was.

I think that's because she knew it was Alexander's (?) son and she wanted to at least pretend it was Dante's, until she didn't need to because of the miscarriage?? Thanks for clearing up my confusion BTW.

Maybe the baby is alive!!! Brenda only TOLD people she miscarried.

She could have done this to protect the child from Alexander's family.

:confused3

I think the baby is alive and the Balkin's wife has him.. She is the one that told Brenda the baby was gone..

spoilers say:

** its jax's baby. both are leaving the show **

Does anyone else think the Balkan must have another spy? He seems to just "know" a lot of things...or maybe that's Guza's sloppy writing, it could go either way...

I vote for Olivia for best-dressed at the wedding, I think she really looked appropriate and lovely. Lulu gets my vote for most juvenile hair...

Maria :upsidedow

I think that Spinelli is mixed up with the Balkan. One of the earlier shows when Brenda came to Port Charles.......They showed the Balkan on the phone telling someone they wanted to know when Brenda was going out for a walk and then they showed Spinelli talking on the phone saying that Brenda was leaving for a walk..........I was shocked that I haven't seen anyone talk about that happening on that show and now that the Balkan knew EVERYTHING that happened at the wedding, just proves that someone there was feeding him information.........could this be another re-write? OR was the scene that played out long ago, just so we would think Spinelli had a connection. At one point spoilers were saying that we would be shocked as to who is connected, which lead me to believe it was Spinelli, but I couldn't figure out why they let that cat out of the bag so early.......once again, unless it was a re-write......Franco and Balkan do seem to have a connection.....but if Shawn was to grab Brenda before the wedding......how did they plan the explosion, unless they just planned a back up plan just in case???? yeah, I think the baby is still alive also......I'm thinking the writers are forgetting things that they have written and now with all the re-writes they are getting things wrong

Theo has a spy at the wedding. The desk clerk tipped him off about Jason. Dante pretended to be the baby daddy before she "lost" the baby.

Or is Brenda the spy...? Can't wait to see why the Balkin is in her car and why did Jason not want her help...

Better late than never guys...sorry!

Previews for the week of 21-Feb-2011
by Carol Banks Weber

**The Balkan reinforces his vendetta with thoughts of his dead son.
The Balkan has decided Shawn must snatch Brenda where she stands at the wedding.
Shawn would’ve done just that, if it weren’t for Carly ruining everything.
Carly interrupts Sonny and Brenda’s wedding ceremony in progress to call Brenda and Dante out for hiding a previous relationship and child.
Before Carly can go much further with the secret revelation, Brenda steps forward and finishes her story, along with Dante, filling in the gaps.

Sonny erupts with negative emotions about the entire drama, more at Carly than anyone else. But he has choice words for Brenda and Dante, too.
Just as Brenda turns to go, expecting Sonny to kick her to the curb, he surprises her with forgiveness and understanding.
Despite Brenda and Dante’s secret, Sonny shows that he doesn’t care. It’s nothing important compared to his love for Brenda, now.
Sonny has Brenda’s back, proclaiming to everyone in the wedding ceremony that he loves her, for better or worse. Let’s proceed with the business of getting married!
Brenda realizes that truly Sonny has grown and become a better man.
Sonny and Brenda’s marriage continues undisturbed. The reception is when the action kicks into gear.
Sonny and Brenda have that traditional first dance as husband and wife.
Sonny takes issue with Carly’s behavior and interference. He lays her out, flat, verbally.
Carly lets Sonny’s justifiable words of anger just go over her head, as she stands there defiant.
After observing the proceedings, instigated by Carly, Jax concludes that his marriage to her is finally kaput.

Luke offers kudos to Carly for her part in trying to bust up the wedding. He also says he can drop more handy tips on being a rat-******* in other ways.
Sonny and Brenda bask in the glow of their love and the love/support they receive from his children.

Michael can barely contain himself when he spies Abby walking up toward him. They also share a lovely dance.
Michael can relax, now that Carly and Sonny are alright with Abby.
Carly and Sonny embrace Abby as Michael’s friend. She’s been through enough.
Michael and Abby talk to each other for real about taking the next step, and about how much they care, beyond just light friendship.

The children pay tribute to their father, Sonny, through touching, heartfelt toasts.
Kristina and Ethan have a chance to dance together during Sonny and Brenda’s wedding reception. She’s remembering why she had that crush on him.
Brenda tosses her bridal bouquet, Kristina is the lucky recipient.
Kristina immediately joshes around with Ethan that this bouquet means she’ll have him next as her husband. Something tells me she’s not kidding.

Sonny and Brenda’s wedding puts Robin and Patrick in a loving mood, as they recall their own.
Patrick gets downright mushy with Robin. It’s working, dude.
Nikolas takes stock of his past when speaking with Brook Lynn.
Olivia and Steve openly discuss one another’s hopes, dreams, goals, and stances on kids.

Shawn gets ready to grab Brenda, as per the Balkan’s instructions.
Before Shawn can get to Brenda, Sam and Jason appear, ready for a fight.
Shawn grabs Sam, but it’s not long before she reasons with him to turn on his boss, the Balkan.
Jason and Sam join forces with Shawn to take down the Balkan. First order of business is for Shawn to lure Theo over for a rendezvous.
The rendezvous disintegrates into a firestorm for Shawn and Jason. Shawn goes down in a hail of bullets, while Jason almost dies.
Theo has a clear shot at: a) snatching, b) slaughtering, c) having a tea party with Sam.
Amidst the gunfire and despite a gunshot injury, Shawn seizes Carly and uses her as leverage, rushing to her guesthouse for a getaway.
Jason delivers Carly from the guesthouse.
Jason senses the explosive turn of events is the work of someone other than the Balkan. And he’d be right.

The wedding ceremony turns violent in a hurry when it appears that Brenda has blown up in the limo, just like Lily those many years past.
Luke and Dante must hold Sonny back as the explosion sends him reeling and feeling déjà vu of the worst kind.
Sonny, Jax, Robin and Edward, amongst the other wedding guests, express horror at the loss of a woman they dearly loved.
Luke takes care of an emotionally battered Edward.
Dante beats himself up over how his secret-keeping helped worsen this situation, since it’s always about him.
Lulu shows up to draw Dante into her arms and make him feel less like a heel.

Believing Brenda died in the blast, Sonny can think of nothing else but violent reprisal for all those responsible.
Sonny can’t be contained in his blinding rage and abject misery. But Michael is somehow able to get through to his dad enough to breathe.
Michael desires to become just like his ruthless, powerful, ***-kicking mobster dad, Sonny.

Ethan makes sure Kristina, Molly and Morgan see no more of this violence, as he escorts them safely back home.
Jason takes an unexpected call from Franco, who is only too pleased to out himself as the responsible party.
The Balkan takes a stand and starts taking names in his vendetta.
Sonny feels he’s given a second chance when it turns out that the dead body is not Brenda but Suzanne.
Dante goes to Lulu’s place to square everything with her, fully prepared to own up to the consequences of his lies.
Lulu greets Dante with a knuckle sandwich.
Dante attempts to get back in good with Lulu. Not if Tracy can help it.
Tracy fumes and fumes until she pops a nut, hacked off as hell at Luke, because of his lack of parental guidance with Lulu.

Together, Lucky and Siobhan deliver Megan from the Balkan’s evil hold.
Lucky and Siobhan try to hightail it back to Port Charles, but they are curtailed, because her illegal alien papers have expired.
Lucky proposes he make an honest woman of Siobhan for that green card, but she isn’t sure.
Siobhan feels funny about marriage with Lucky when he still has unfinished business with Elizabeth.
Lucky states to Siobhan that it wouldn’t have mattered a whit if Elizabeth and he had sired Aiden. Over is over.
Lucky marries Siobhan so she can get back to the States.
Siobhan still harbors the belief that it’s only a matter of time before Lucky confronts the fact that he belongs with Elizabeth.
People keep remarking upon Aiden as Lucky’s child. It’s beginning to dawn on Elizabeth to do something about this.
Elizabeth notices Aiden’s resemblance to Lucky, not Nikolas, and start making inquiries into paternity.
Elizabeth hates Lucky with Siobhan, and that’s a fact.

Lisa has her hands full trying to get Terrell to finish the job on Robin.
Terrell tries to sex Lisa up, but he has to wait in line behind Johnny.
Johnny gets a hold of Lisa before Terrell can. Johnny’s misery (maybe about Claudia’s death) provokes a rare moment of caring from Lisa.
Johnny and Lisa go from intensely nattering on, to intensely getting it on.
Maxie drags Matt into her cause—to out Johnny as Lisa’s confidante.

Next week: Sonny means to use Shawn as an example to whomever has Brenda as a hostage—even if it means using Shawn as a pin cushion… Sonny attempts to extract information from Shawn as to where to get Brenda back… It appears that the Balkan has succeeded in snatching Brenda away… Dante and Michael have Sonny’s back… They just have opposing means of communicating to Sonny what to do… One of the Balkan’s goons tries to jump Shawn at the hospital. But Shawn survives to live another day… Michael is dying to be a chip off the old block, with his hero Sonny. However, Dante and Jason step in to caution Michael to walk the straight and narrow, not become involved with the mob… Michael lets Abby in on what’s going on in his head about being a mob type like Sonny versus staying straight… Jason notices something’s wrong with Sam’s hearing. Something is… Kristina witnesses Sam’s condition get bad fast… Brenda makes the most of a crack in the Balkan’s system, by booking it out of there for freedom… Kristina acknowledges that she has begun envisioning herself with Ethan for the long-term. Cue wedding bells… Robin and Patrick make inroads back to each other… Nikolas declares that he cares more for Brook Lynn than just as an employee.

Gossip for the week of 21-Feb-2011
by Carol Banks Weber

Lots of certifiable spumors came out of RavenBeauty’s February 16th update:

**Kristina and Ethan are on.
Robin does indeed accidentally cause Jake’s death.
Robin leans on lawyer Theo to help her out of this jam.
Elizabeth is gonna make Carly look tame.
Olivia is demoted to recurring.
Johnny just may have experienced a reprieve. TPTB find him impossible to let go. “They want to see if fans are just as curious. Personally speaking, I think it would be rather foolish to get rid of someone with this level of potential. Brandon chews up the scenery. I never tire of him or his portrayal of the conscious stricken mob prince. Make the right decision ABC. He's a keeper! I can see him inheriting the ‘Sonny’ throne one day. He's got the chops. Give him time.”
Heads will roll. Not all of them should. Fans will explode.

Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) fans might’ve made a big enough impression on TPTB for them to change their minds about letting such a GH veteran go. Word on the street is, they’ve done an about-face, she’s staying on contract, this is not recurring at all, and head writer Bob Guza Jr. may take out his annoyance at her staying on her next storyline, making her character look stupid. There’s also a rumor going around that TPTB had no idea just how popular and essential Herbst was to the show, speaking to their utter clueless, bungling ineptitude. With Herbst staying, other cast members may have to leave earlier than expected.

Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) may get in on a series situation if, indeed, The Lying Game pilot gets picked up as a series on ABC Family. Sounds as if it will.
