**Crazy Rumors of the Week:
Michael will soon resurface as a teenager
, and Lulu will soon be embroiled in a triangle with Johnny and Matt.
Revolving Door:
Mentions that CC confirmed in a post on her board that she's been taken off contract but Nadine won't be going up in a ball of flames.
Also mentions that Leyla's condition will take a turn for the worse this week, so she might not be as lucky as Nadine. (Sorry, a little outdated since SOD and NB both confirmed her exit.)
Buzz:
BA jabbers about not watching a lot of reality TV, because he has to support scripted drama, because it's in his best interest for more scripted TV to be out there. He says some reality shows, like The Bachelor are done well, but he doesn't watch a lot. He was impressed by the crew of The Bachelor and how efficient they were. All the women were gracious, yadda yadda. He's taken a bit more interest in this season because he knows some of the faces.
The List: You Dirty Rat!
Jason, usually so willing to to jail to protect others, agrees to send Sonny to the big house to save Spinelli? Something stinks, and it ain't cheese.
Winners:
Jason. He evacuated Sonny's boat before blowing it up.
Losers:
Lucky and Liz. They took Cameron to watch boats in the harbor - right after the Zacchara ship was sunk.
Set Up Triage! Stat!
Here's what some others are dealing with in this disaster:
Lucky rushes to Liz's bedside, where the two pour out their feelings for each other. They reconnect so deeply that even Sam and Jason can't help noticing their growing bond.
(Stole this from Pikester...great smilie and very apropro!)
After a trapped Tracy suddenly collapses, Edward must face losing his daughter.
Even though Jax is held outside of the hospital while Carly is trapped insider, they manage to make a symbolic connection.
Kate and Olivia try to figure out what happened to the DVD that implicates Claudia in Michael's shooting.
Robin and Emma: Frozen Out!
KMc says that there's something wrong with Emma and Robin decides to try and take her to the hospital, but there's a snowstorm.
JT says that Emma has a fever. As far as Patrick knows Robin is at home and he should be there helping her, but he's obviously stuck at the hospital with the crisis.
JT says that Robin leaves him a message telling him Emma is sick and she's on her to GH. When he gets that message the power is down, so he can't get through to her because of the storm. So Robin doesn't know that GH is on lockdown and she won't be able to get in.
So not only does Patrick have the whole hospital and his brother to worry about, but his wife and child are on the road in a blizzard.
JT says it's just another layer to all of this. He's worried about her driving in the storm with Emma and if she does make it there, God forbid anything else happens, she is going to be turned away at the door.
Robin and Emma should be so lucky, that rickety minivan they're driving is on its last legs.
Nikolas meets Rebecca at last:
Nik comes face to face with Rebecca this week but before sparks can fly, the OR is blown skyhigh.
NL says that Nik has been seeing "Emily" in small flashes, out of the corner of his eye. He'll see her rounding a corner, but when he chases after her, she's gone. He's been looking for her, throughout the hospital, not sure if it's his imagination or if it's something real. He finally runs up to her, she turns around, and they meet...
Rebecca is only there, looking for a job, but she ends up quarantined with everyone else. NL says she's applying to be an X-Ray technician. She says she's very different from Emily, who was a doctor and pretty accomplished. Rebecca is new to the scene. NL says that she can say Rebecca will be very different from Emily in pretty much every way, the way she talks, the way she dresses, her makeup, the way she deals with situations. She says it's going to lend itself to a lot of exciting storylines with all kinds of characters on the scene - new characters that might enter the canvas, and characters that Emily was once close to that now maybe Rebecca will be starting a relationship with. Whoever it is."
Hmmm... Nik had an intense relationship with Emily, so once he has Rebecca cornered, what does he say? NL says he's just about to say something and then this huge explosion happens. There's a cliffhanger, wondering if they're going to get out alive or not.
A Closer Look: Anthony:
SOW asks what AZ is planning when he visits Claudia's sickbed.
BW says that he plans on ripping out her breathing apparatus so it won't work.
SOW asks why he decides to kill her now?
BW says that he's afraid that she'll tell Sonny that AZ is the one who shot Kate.
SOW asks if it's an easy decision to make or if he struggles with it.
BW says there's no struggle at all. AZ is trying to preserve his own life, so anyone who is a threat is fair game.
SOW notes he never really cared for her...
BW says that he plays it that he doesn't care for her because she sees himself in her. They haven't written it that way, but that's how he plays the role.
SOW says that Sonny interrupts AZ before he can finish the deed. How does AZ talk his way out of it?
BW says "That would be telling (laughs).
SOW asks if that's the end of it.
BW says no, he comes back and tries again and he comes back and tries a third time, but he keeps getting interrupted.
SOW asks what happens the second time.
BW says that Claudia pushes the call button.
SOW asks if he runs off.
BW says he can't do that because nobody knows he can walk! In the middle of all of this, he has a fight with Trevor who discovers he can walk.
SOW says that sounds like blackmail material.
BW says no, Trevor wants to kill him. It seems everyone in the hospital wants to kill him!
SOW asks how he escapes.
BW says Claudia presses her call button and the nurse comes in, in the middle of Trevor trying to strangle him.
SOW says later on Claudia winds up telling Sonny the truth about AZ shooting Kate and Sonny goes looking for him.
BW says that Sonny finds Anthony back in Claudia's room. They've set up a trap. Anthony comes in, ready to finish what he started and kill her and then Sonny is there and he's going to kill AZ.
SOW says they would imagine Sonny has a gun.
BW says he does, indeed. A big one.
SOW asks why Jason arrives and demands Anthony be spared?
BW says that originally it was scripted that Jason wanted to turn him over to the feds to help Spinelli, then they cut all reference to feds out, but that's obviously the reason why Jason wants him to be alive.
SOW says that ultimately Sonny decides not to kill AZ.
BW says that Sonny tells Jason to do whatever he wants with him. Jason takes him to a room with restraints and ties him up there and leaves him there. Meanwhile the hospital is on fire...
GH Explodes!
Things go from bad to worse when an explosion tears through the tainted OR, endangering even more of the people trapped in the hospital.
JT says that it's the anesthesia that's leaking from the OR. One little spark and that gas goes up and explodes.
Patrick and the others who haven't been overcome by the biotoxin then have to deal with the resulting fires. JT says there are multiple explosions, because the gas has leaked into other rooms.
Patrick has so much going on, that he can't focus on one thing. There are the casualties in the OR that were colleagues of his, his brother was also in the room. Nobody who was in the room is doing very well, because of the biotoxin. And, on top of that, he gets word that Emma is sick and Robin is bringing her to GH.
Spinelli is convinced that Patrick and Jason shouldn't let the FBI near the toxic spheres. JT says no one trusts the FBI right now because they're just trying to cover their butts. They lost the biotoxin, now they just want to get it back and keep everything hush-hush.
Patrick says if one of those spheres caused all that damage, then he's got to get the rest of them out of the hospital before they cause more. So, it's a catch-22.
Someone, however, sneaks into the OR and steals one of the spheres.
Spinelli tries to take matters into his own hands and enters the OR himself. Spinelli tries to be the hero but it's not the right thing to do, says JT.
Because once he's inside, Winifred and the feds find him - just as the room explodes!
Sneak Peeks:
The quarantined population of the hospital grows desperate.
Jax struggles to make a connection with Carly.
Tracy's troubles grow steadily worse.
Maxie and Johnny mull giving int to the inevitable.
Luke finds a kindred spirit in Ethan.
Can't Miss: Wednesday, Feb. 4 - Elizabeth and Lucky renew their emotional bonds. (Cottie, this is the pic, that my mind put on the cover this morning, LOL. Lucky is holding Liz's hand as she lays in the hospital bed with an oxygen mask on.)
Next Week: Numerous lives are in jeopardy at the hospital. Kate confronts Claudia. Sonny and Carly get into big trouble.
Mail Call:
As the biotoxin crisis began, viewers wondered who would survive.**
