The GH Official Thread Part 3

There's no way Esme is going to admit she taped Joss and Cam, just to find out who her mother is. She always has Ryan to tell her. She can insist he tell her, just tell him Spencer knows so he might as well tell her.

Did the original Michael leave the show? Usually they say "the role of _____ will be played by" and there was no announcement of that.

At least I finally figured out why Cam and Spencer were getting DNA samples from Joss and Carly. If they explained it at the time, I must have missed it!

Chad Duell, who plays Michael, has not left the show. He was out of filming for a few weeks (I think with Covid). They don't film in sequence, so we're still seeing the scenes that were filmed when the other guy was filling in. I also noticed that they had the alternate Taggert today in the courtroom scene. He seems to fill in from time to time and they don't even announce the substitution anymore.

Trina’s trial doesn’t make sense. The victims are testifying on behalf of the defendant, who they believe is innocent. Couldn’t they just refuse to press charges? Neither side has any solid evidence. And does no one realize that a camera can be on a timer? smh

I think they addressed that earlier when Joss and Cam said they didn't want to press charges. Jordan explained that the ADA can bring charges against Trina based on the evidence that led to her arrest (possessing the camera). Joss and Cam were called as witnesses for the prosecution, although they don't believe Trina is guilty. That's why the ADA labeled Joss as a hostile witness when she kept adding her own details instead of directly answering the questions. Someone will have to bring up the fact that a camera can be set on a timer and that Esme had access to the bedroom before she left the cabin.

What still gets me is that virtually all of Port Charles' heavy hitters are trying to exonerate Trina. But sneaky little Esme and a sleazy bartender so far have outsmarted them all. You've got Curtis, Marshall, Sam, Spinelli, Brick, Sonny, Carly, Eva, Portia, Spencer, Joss, Cam and others I'm sure I missed who have worked on the case. Even Jordan and Dante think Trina is innocent, although they had to follow police procedure based on the evidence. Can't Brick or Spinelli determine that the phone was set to record on a timer? Can't they figure out where the phone was physically located when the video was posted? It was in the classroom where Trina wasn't, but Esme was! I just find it crazy that no one can come up with something that points away from Trina. The entire town looks ridiculous!

This!!

I'm disappointed they've made Roger Howarth into such a boring character. I mean, Austin really? There is no story there, nothing.
He's been one of my favorite soap actors since he was Todd on OLTL. And this is just such a waste of his talent. :sad2:

So what are we thinking for Willow? Leukemia? Needs a bone marrow donor. That would of course compel Carly to spill the beans giving her the blood relative potential donor of not only Nina but Wiley.

I'm also thinking leukemia. A blood relative will be needed to save her. Wiley is Willow's nephew so he could be a possibility. But I think it will come down to Nina saving Willow's life with a bone marrow transplant. Their relationship will heal, Michael will soften toward Sonny. But Carly...she'll fall further down the big hole that her life has become. She lost Sonny, the MetroCourt and now Michael and Willow will be royally ticket at her. Perhaps Josslyn will side with her brother as well.

Agreed. Seems like he was being primed as a love interest for either Maxie or Britt, but then both fizzled. I never watched OLTL, but still have a hard time not thinking of him as Franco, which is weird; LOL, I feel like Elizabeth should freak out when she sees him.

Speaking of Britt, I don’t care for Cody. Did they need this new character, childhood camp buddy of Dante, really? And what’s with him living in a stable with a horse in the living room, next to a fireplace!? So strange.

Weirdest stable I've ever seen!

I read a spoiler that Cody might have some connection to Faison, Britt's father. Because as we know, anyone who comes to that small, obscure town ends up having a connection to someone else. Like what are the odds that Nina and both of her long-lost twin daughters ended up in Port Charles, Nowhere?

I was pretty much thinking that the stable is nicer than some people's homes. :rotfl2:

I graduated with a guy whose dad owned a big horse farm. They rehabilitated race horses from all over the country. The "stable" and indoor riding rink(is that what it's called?) was in a gorgeous huge building. There was a very nice apartment for the stable "boss" (not sure what his actual title was) in the building and there was a huge entertainment space complete with full kitchen, bar, game room, fire place, a bunch of big comfy couches (anyone remember that show???), chairs, etc. They could have events with over 100 people in the space. It was gorgeous. The only real differences between this very real stable and the one on GH are: A) The real one was much bigger; and B) The horses couldn't stick their head into the living space -- it was separated by a wall with huge windows. But you could open a door and be in the stable in one step...and the stables were extremely clean. So having the horse right there in the living space is only a tiny bit weird to me. And, don't tell my friend's dad, but we did bring a horse in the game room one time. Shhhhhhh!

I missed the end of today's show because of the hearings. Did Esme kill that guy or did he just pass out?

I agree about wasting Roger Howarth's talent. I don't understand why they had to get rid of him as Franco. If it's because of the actor, James Franco. They could have just had Franco say he rather be called something else, since he was changing his life and moving forward with Elizabeth. Now they have him working for someone, I'm guessing Brad's aunt. Is he going to turn out not to be Jimmy Lee's son. Another man to yet again scam Maxie.

She either killed him or drugged him heavily. She was plotting the whole time she was in his room, asked him for a drink, kissed him then hinted that they could do more...after another drink. At that point she started looking at his glass and smiling. We assume she had the pills with her that she used to drug Trina. Spencer told her the other day that a larger dose of those meds could have killed Trina. So, presumably, she plopped a bunch into his drink while he was refilling her glass. So now the guy is passed out or dead and Curtis is knocking at the door since Ms. Wu gave him the address. But Esme will probably manage to hide or climb out the window before Curtis gets inside. The trial just started and it's too early for Esme to be exposed just yet. It will have to be a true last-minute thing.

Spoilers say that perhaps Spencer will enter the courtroom just as Trina's team thinks she's lost. He will take the stand and spill everything he knows - that Esme drugged Trina the night the video was shot, that Esme returned to the cabin the next day and could easily have picked up the phone, and that Trina was with him at the cemetery when the video was released. He will have to reveal that he snuck out of Spring Ridge that day, but he'll do it to expose Esme and save Trina. Again, just a spoiler but sounds reasonable.
