The GH Official Thread Part 2

I watched last week sort of hit and miss ( thank you DVR). I know from reading daily updates that heather drugged Maggie. According to the latest Soap Opera Digest, Maggie is dead. Has anyone discovered her body yet and I just missed it thanks to fast forward?

Not yet.

Alexis from the Real Housewives of the OC was on yesterday...did you see? What a joke :crazy2: She can't even ready off a teleprompter. :rolleyes2

Ack, anyone have any spoilers for this week?
It's going to be a super busy week for me. DVR and cable unreliable. What days should I make a point of watching or having mom *tape for me?

**Carly and Téa — clear the decks!

Sam and Jason continue to avoid dealing with the conflicts in their marriage, while leaning on other people — McBain and Elizabeth, respectively.
Jason confides in Elizabeth about Sam: he loves Sam fiercely, nothing’s changed, and wishes they could be together like before.
Jason and McBain bicker about Sam.
Jason gets territorial about Sam.
McBain tells Jason to stop being a jerk and take care of his wife, Sam, already.
John McBain knows he’s playing with fire hanging around Sam too much. His awareness deepens until he and Sam realize they have to end their friendship before it turns into something else.
Also, this thing with Sam is getting to be a distraction from McBain’s case against Sonny.
When faced with McBain or Jason, it’s a no-brainer for Sam, who is totally smitten still with her husband.
Too bad Jason doesn’t give her the emotional fulfillment he should. Sam’s alone in this. Jason just can’t…
Molly suggests to Jason that he accompany Sam to Lamaze.
Jason and Sam make an effort to work through their issues. :rolleyes2

Kate confides in things that scare her the most when conferring with Alexis.
After the conversation, Kate prepares to face up to her alter, in the presence of a licensed professional. It’ll have to be in the state penitentiary.
In prison, Kate undergoes hypnosis to bring out Connie. But instead of waiting for the prison psych, Kate goes ahead and goes under. That’s okay. Sonny comes over, eyes opened to the seriousness of this disorder.
Connie comes out fighting, overwhelming Kate in the process and proving to Sonny that this DID is real.
Sonny meets Connie in the flesh. She makes him a believer now.
Kate shows she’s fully prepared to throw it back in Connie’s face—all to find out once and for all if her alter caused the car accident that killed Cole and Hope.
Yup. Connie comes out with it: she did orchestrate everything to make it look like Sonny caused that car accident.
Connie’s confession levels Kate mentally. Kate must be checked into Shadybrook, STAT.
Olivia goes to see Kate in Shadybrook, and make her feel less scared.
Sonny and Alexis go over a game plan to help Kate, in light of this confession by her alter.

Anthony takes a moment to realize what he’s got here with this info he just listened in on.
Anthony broaches the subject of working things out with Johnny.
Johnny, however, angrily turns Anthony away.
The animosity between Anthony and Johnny comes to a head.

Todd takes in the blackmail potential while leaning in on a private confession by Kate to her lawyer Alexis.
Téa’s next response to Todd is unexpected.
Johnny tries again to beg Carly’s forgiveness. But this time, Todd stands in the way.
Sonny hits up Alexis for a big favor: go ahead and defend Connie to the max.
Kate knows Sonny hired Alexis for her case, despite him steering clear.
Michael promises Sonny he’s done with Starr and will not allow whatever caring there was with her to get in the way from now on.
Todd tries to work Sonny, using emotional blackmail.
Unable to free Starr from police confines, Todd decides to broker a deal with the mobster.
Elizabeth checks in on Ewen.
Carly faces facts: she’s still not over Johnny just yet.
Carly goes to Johnny’s place, to hash this over and evaluate a way out of this funk.
Carly and Johnny discuss the series of events leading up to his using Kate’s alter to get back at Sonny.
Carly counsels Michael about grace and Starr.
Téa voices concern about Starr’s caring too much about Michael; it could get in the way of getting out of charges.
Starr unburdens her burdened soul to Kate of all people.
Starr’s case against Sonny goes through arraignment.
Michael decides not to take the stand to testify against Starr during her arraignment. Sonny’s fine with it.
After Starr’s arraignment, she and Michael cross paths at the PCPD. Carly and Todd shrug off the awkwardness of the arraignment to forge a friendship.
Sonny and Carly arrive at a consensus that is most startling.
Michael finds out what TJ and Molly were up to.
Maxie remains committed to protecting Matt and taking the bullet for a crime she did not commit.
Felicia takes a shot at shaking Maxie from that stance.
Anna extends every kindness to Felicia.
A deal gets put on the table, but Maxie won’t go for it.
Grappling with what to do, Spinelli goes back and forth as to whether to be truthful or not in front of the judge.
Spinelli takes a stab at reaching Maxie.
Spinelli tosses out his promise to be silent, to save Maxie from 20 years. He sings like a canary, pointing to Matt as the real culprit.
Maxie reveals who murdered Lisa Niles when whispering with Matt.
Spinelli implores Matt not to let Maxie take the fall, after she won’t sign that deal.
Maxie comes clean to the judge in court about trying to protect Matt.
Maxie feels so blessed to have a friend like Spinelli in her life. Aloha.
Luke and Anna take care of the grandkids, as a duo.
Heather grows livid at her Luke around Anna.
Patrick asks Epiphany to take all his patients off his hands and give them to other doctors.
Patrick confesses his weakness and his need for help to Matt.
Luke tries to get through to Tracy.
Luke and Tracy arrange for Anthony to rendezvous with her at the boathouse.
But it is Tracy who is in for a shock to the system when she gets to that boathouse and stumbles over a dead body, her husband’s.
Olivia can do the Math. She concludes that Maggie died by lethal means (Heather).

Next week: Liason fans, rejoice. Elizabeth and Jason tease a connection… McBain takes Téa into his confidence… Johnny begins to suffer from tremendous guilt… Tracy, Monica, and Edward preoccupy themselves with ELQ business. They have to now.

Gossip for the week of 14-May-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

The following spumors come from Daytime Dish’s GOS/Remember This, as shared on the SoapZone GH board May 12th: **Carly and Todd go on a date, but it’s an explosive one affecting others, “Todd and Téa’s relationship takes a turnaround after she gives birth,” maybe Sam and John are not related (“[a]s of June 20”), Patrick might kill himself in a misguided belief that it’s the best way to honor Robin, and Kristina comes back with more abusive baggage, having learned nothing from Kiefer.

Three killers on a killing spree will take out half the cast in a cost-cutting measure. Others will go out in another way, budget-dictated or voluntarily. The exiting characters include: Jason, Spinelli, Maxie, Patrick, Kate, Olivia, Steve, Delores, and lots more!

Previews for the week of 21-May-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

**Jason needs someone understanding to talk to. Elizabeth is that someone. But calm down, JaSam fans, she’s not snaking your man. She genuinely cares for both Jason and Sam to make their marriage work.
Elizabeth counsels Jason gently to make the first move and mend his marriage to Sam, showing him what she’s going through, too.
But Sam doesn’t know that. All she sees is a former couple sparking left and right, and her husband turning to another, very beautiful woman, instead of her.
Sam interjects herself into the Liason situation, as an interloper.
Sam trudges to her Lamaze class with a gray cloud over her head.
Jason stumbles onto Sam and her Lamaze class.
Jason tells Elizabeth his troubles; namely, that he wishes he and Sam could get back to normal but he doesn’t know if he can, not after Franco.
Just as Elizabeth and Jason hug it out, Molly happens by and gets what she thinks is a terrible eyeful. How long before Molly runs to Sam with this?
Molly wants Jason to be the one to take Sam to Lamaze.
Slowly, but surely, Jason and Sam get closer to the JaSam bliss fans have come to love. :crazy2:
Jason and Sam must deal with paparazzi, bugging them about their honeymoon, dredging up the dirt all over again.

So wait. It’s not Connie, but Johnny who shot out Anthony’s tires—and the jerk let Starr believe it was Sonny all this time?!

Michael and Starr have a chance meeting, which is fraught with sexual tension.

TPTB play with Carly and Todd’s chemistry in their accidental meeting.
Carly and Todd manage to set aside their differences (over Michael versus Starr), following the arraignment.

Anthony may seek a ceasefire with his estranged son, Johnny. But he ain’t gonna get it. He may very well get a one-way ticket to hell though.

Luke tries to get through to Tracy and get her on board the program.
Luke and Tracy’s plan to deal with Anthony hits a major snag.
When Tracy goes into the boathouse, as planned, she screams because Anthony’s lying there deader than a doornail.
Detective Dante finds… the dead smoking body of Anthony Zacchara perhaps?
The latest surprising findings will leave Luke stupefied.

Carly vilifies Shawn something awful. Yet it is Carly who winds up mulling over some food for thought.

Stop the presses! Sonny and Carly actually ITA on something. It could have something to do with letting Starr off the hook.

Michael is dumbfounded, as Sonny asks him to do something nice for someone.
Michael adamantly balks at testifying against Starr in court.
Michael’s about-face makes Starr curious.

Carly and Johnny sit down and get to brass tacks. Their relationship is at stake.
Carly is willing to give Johnny another chance. She just needs to work it out with him to her satisfaction.

Connie says just enough to seem like she was the one who shot out Anthony’s tires. But some female alter of a fashionista doesn’t have that good of an aim.
After Connie’s so-called confession, Kate returns, suffering from severe memory loss of the entire incident.
Kate must spend some quality time at Shadybrook, receiving the mental care she requires.
Olivia checks on her cousin Kate at Shadybrook, doing her best to be nurturing.
Meanwhile, Sonny confers with his lawyer Alexis on the best mode of defense about Connie’s revelation. They are at a loss.
Alexis becomes disturbed when she can’t seem to locate Kristina at the university.
Alexis’ world is further toppled when a character says something about Kristina’s latest disturbing behavior.
Kristina springs herself, in the flesh, on her mom Alexis, far far from the reaches of that university.

Felicia finds she cannot wield any influence over an intractable, hostile Maxie.
Spinelli takes another shot at persuading Maxie to legally sign a document swearing that she saw Matt kill Lisa Niles. But she just won’t do it, not to Matt.
Matt wrestles with manning up, coming forward as Lisa’s killer, or letting his girlfriend take the rap (and the beatings).
Spinelli tries to help Matt’s conscience along, by exhorting the doctor to do the right thing by Maxie.
Matt and Spinelli can no longer afford to rely on Maxie. She’s messing up the works for the prosecutor.
Spinelli feels like he’s been run over.
Felicia can’t take much more. Luckily, Anna’s there, to provide a fortress of solace.

Matt is privy to Patrick’s private revelation: things aren’t okay, he’s still deep in a funk and desperately needs help getting out.

Heather hangs out with a weirdo, someone new.

Once word gets out about Franco’s lineage, the devastated Quartermaines (namely Edward, Tracy, and Monica) assemble to assess the damage to their family business, ELQ.

Téa and John McBain catch up, leaning on each other for moral support and a shoulder. McBain does most of the leaning, as he seeks her counsel on a personal matter (Sam).
Todd is in a position to be Téa’s only hope. This might change everything.
Sonny versus Todd, continues.
Sam lends a helping hand to McBain.
Jason figures something major out for himself.
Jason versus McBain, continues.
McBain faces major peril. So does Jason.

Next week: Jason seeks Elizabeth out, to comfort… Just kick Spinelli when he’s down already. Poor kid… Todd probably is the one who helps Téa deliver her baby… And John McBain probably delivers Sam’s… Todd meets up with someone surprising out of nowhere.

As someone who never watched OLTL, I'm getting so sick of the characters from there getting thrown into the storyline with virtually no introduction. It's like they assume that everyone will know who they are when they arrive from Llanview. Well, Hello-some of us have no idea who they are and need a little warm up. This is kind of jarring.

Can I just say how much it infuriates me how Tea always walks around with her hands on her faux belly  It looks ridiculous.

Good lord!! what is the body count now??? Holy smokes the PC morgue is a busy busy place these past few weeks.

The stories are moving sooo quick. This is definitely a HUGE change at GH. I think it is a good change, I really look forward to each episode because something is ALWAYS happening.
As a long time viewer, over 35 years, I think the current changes have had a positive affect on the show. Many of you know that I had reallllly become tired of Sonny "the Sperminator" Corinthos. However, putting Todd Manning, Roger Howarth in the mix has brought Sonny back to life... Maurice Benard actually looks INTERESTED in the scences with Roger.

I am sad that Anthony was killed. I liked his funny, crazy villian ways. Bruce Weitz will be missed. I am further saddened that Johnny has become evil. Brandon Barash is a great actor. I liked Johnny with a heart. Today's episode leads us to believe that Johnny has gone desperately evil. I understand why he is changing.. but will miss the good guy Johnny.

I totally agree about Tea. I actually LOL because I think she is trying to hold on to that huge belly they have strapped to her. ;)

:thumbsup2 I still remember Johnny as that nice guy that ran away with lulu, trying to help her out.

but I really like the todd/carly pairing. and the McBain/sam pairing. On OLTL (sorry, simba's mom) i never liked natalie.( she never could wear ANYTHING if it didn't have cleavage! ) and she couldn't tell the truth if it bit her in the face!
I like the new stronger, sam. much better. the "I have grown to love this baby, I'm keeping it, deal with it.. or don't!" sam. yay!

and I love love! roger horwath!!! (any chance of rex coming over to port charles?)

Can I just say how much it infuriates me how Tea always walks around with her hands on her faux belly  It looks ridiculous.

Yes, plleeeaaaseeee! It's so annoying. I've never seen a pregnant person walk around with their hands glued to their stomach like that. I actually ff through her scenes, because it's just so annoying.

Drives me crazy too! Looks like she thinks her baby will fall out!

I like Sam with McBain. Her and Jason are so boring together. I do like Jason with Elizabeth. Tea with her big bundle has been driving me crazy. I was looking to see if anyone else had commented on this. Also the dress she has been wearing has done nothing for her. I do like Todd with Carly but I also like Carly with Johnny.

There is no one with who I don't like Johnny. He has chemistry with everyone. Olivia, Kate, Lulu, Maxie, Carly, Starr...seriously as an actor he makes it all work.

Which is funny because I think that Sonny is a complete DUD with everyone except Todd. Maurice Benard seems to be stepping up his game since Roger Howarth showed up on set. He does well with Vanessa Marcil and I liked him with the 2nd Carly but otherwise he is SO boring.

I like Sam with John McBain even if I was a big John and Natalie fan on OLTL. I liked Natalie especially in her early years. They dumbed her down the last few years trying to make her too nice. Sam is horrible with Jason. They don't even look like they like each other. Both are mopey and moody around each other.

I don't get the Elizabeth hate. Ok I see why people may get frustrated with the character but the actress brings out the best in Steve Burton, it is like he enjoys working with her. She pairs well with Patrick, Matt, Jason.

Tea - ugh. I hated her on OLTL so I FF her. I think she DOES think that the fake baby is going to fall off. She's a favorite of the writers but I don't know one OLTL fan that loved Tea. Nora is a lawyer, why couldn't she come represent Starr.

I was an OLTL fan. I thought it was the better show v. GH but I'm not 100% sold on the complete OLTL invasion. I HATE that they killed Hope. Could not care less about Cole, there were 100 ways to get rid of him and kept Hope alive.
