The GH Official Thread Part 2

As gross as this sounds... I knew it was good when I saw a real string of snot dripping from his nose! :rotfl2:

I saw that too! I was thinking just how good of an actor he is!! Those scenes were so heart breaking....I was sobbing! My poor dog started shaking uncontollably ( she gets like that if I cry, I guess she senses that I'm upset ) I felt so bad for her!

I love how everyone was talking about hearing an explosion yet no one bothered to find out what happened.
I hope Robin is still alive!

I hate this Robin death story line. HATE IT. I would have much preferred it if they actually killed her off with AIDS. It makes sense after 15 or so years that she could develop full blown AIDS. It would be heartbreaking and sad but it could have been about Robin and her family. Die in an explosion while saving Jason's life? It is cheap. It is the same lazy writing that has plagued GH for years. This is a legacy character. Kimberly McCullough spent the majority of her career on this show playing this character and THIS is it's 'death.'

I'm sure there is some soapy bait and switch. That Robin is alive but still...lame. Good story sacrificed, again, for dumb soap tricks.

I thought I heard that Steve Burton might leave also. What happened to the drug in the lab that could save his life? I'm thinking that it might make sense for both Robin and the drug that could save Jason's life to be gone.

The lab had one of those little compartments on the wall that can be accessed from either side. Robin put the vial in on her side, then commanded Patrick to take it from his side. He put the vial in his pocket and she made him promise he would give it to Jason.

Here's my other problem with this - Am I supposed to believe that no other drug for swelling on the brain exists anywhere else in the world? Robin is the first doctor ever to create one? I guess I have to remember that Port Charles exists in an alternate universe!!!

luv bunnies.. are you looking for a job as a soap writer?if so, you get my vote!!! (unfortyunately, not a very goodprospect these days!:rotfl:)

I can't BELIEVE robin just yelled out "I can make it!" instead of yelling "Patrick, hold the door open for me!"

Ha ha! Sure! Sign me up, although soaps are a dying art form and I'd likely be unemployed very soon! If I did write the show, I promise I would not have made Lucky sit in a church yard waiting for gremlins to bring him some life altering message from beyond!!!

ITA! They so dropped the ball. I feel sorry for the actors having to act this crap. They writers and those in charge that make them write this is what has destroyed soaps. It is very sad.

How would they keep Robin's death from Jason? He's in the same hospital, has access to his cell phone and someone from the hospital can easily come in his room and tell him.

Dante, Alexis, and Michael believe it’s curtains for Sonny, because of what’s transpired.

A mystery character drops in on Jason. Maybe it’s Santa Claus.
Sam, Patrick, and Monica work to prevent Jason from learning about something horrifying, because they’re afraid it will cause him a brain seizure.
Patrick prepares to operate on Jason’s brain matter, but is he really prepared to save this patient?

Anna summons Robert back to Port Charles, to tend to the matter of their dead daughter.

After Robert goes MIA, Anna summons Luke to go out on a manhunt.
Patrick tries to explain to Emma what happened to her mom, while fighting back his own feelings of grief.

Michael is the one to take Starr to General Hospital, wracked with guilt for dropping the ball on babysitting his dad.
Epiphany comforts Michael with the belief that Starr will be okay.
OLTL’s Blair comes on the scene to take care of Starr and raise a little hell.
Todd also comes into town and meets Carly, and not in a superficial way either.
Todd enfolds his little Starr.

Helena makes Luke her captive, then makes him watch as she seeks perverse payback.
Holly returns to GH in a dramatic fashion, when she swoops in suddenly to save Ethan at Wyndemere.
Holly and Ethan reunite, with much love.
Ewen visits with Elizabeth. Soon they get to talking about what’s important.
Matt rebukes Maxie to knock it off with her juvenile, jealous antics that affect his life negatively.
Matt directs Maxie to stop living with Spinelli; make the computer geek boy get his own pad.
Spinelli takes a shot at bringing up the demise of Robin with Maxie.
When he does, Maxie makes it like Spinelli’s telling a bad joke or lying about Robin.
Robin’s accidental death sends shockwaves through Maxie. She can’t bring herself to believe it’s happened.

Next week: Robert and Luke catch up… A surprising character converges on OLTL’s Starr… Carly and OLTL’s Todd get deep… The moment we’ve all been waiting for: Sonny vs. Todd… Dante seeks out Kate for some enlightenment. Are you my mother? J/k… Alexis and Carly butt heads… Maxie doles out the real deal to Lush Lulu.

Gossip for the week of 27-Feb-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

**Some future spumors: Faison and Helena are holding many presumed-dead beloved characters hostage, including Robin, which Robert, Anna, Luke, and the rest of the gang of crime-fighting heroes will soon discover, Ethan may not make it out alive, however, Shawn will beat the crap out of Johnny, TJ tries to put his sweet lips on sweet Molly, this recast Kate will soon go far, far away, preferably in a body bag, Diane will watch jealously, helplessly as only Alexis can comfort Mac (so cheap sex doesn’t always do it, eh). **

Please dont tell me they are killing off Hope. Cole I'm good with but not Hope :(

Sigh..this was the straw for me. I am done. I just deleted GH from my DVR. I have been watching soaps since I was a kid with my mom. GH I started watching when I was 15... oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

More time to do other things...

I've watched since Luke and Laura were on the run. 1980. I'm dating myself, but I too..am done.
I really can't deal with Mac loosing yet ANOTHER child. Really?...As if once wasn't bad enough?
I thought that perhaps the writers had learned something, anything, from killing off most of the Quartermanes, thus loosing the anchor family to the show. NOPE, apparently not. :rolleyes1
Add in the killing off of Robin (whose character by the way, I wasn't even particularly fond of, yet has played a major part in GH history)..to the killing off of new commer baby Hope, and I'm done folks. I will be closing the door on this program. It won't be long before it bites the dust just like the other ABC soaps.:headache:

I had hoped that the addition of the OLTL characters would breathe new life into the dying soap. Now..it's just had a cardiac arrest. No amount of CPR is gonna bring it back around.

I have been watching since 1975. Sigh.... I kinda understand them killing off Robin, the actress wanted to leave (well if they had give her better story lines she would have stayed). But with a character with such history they should have just recast her. As much as I hate recast, it is better then killing them! Especially when they just bring them back from the dead anyway.

I am also starting to avoid ABC shows. Their loss.

As I mentioned previously, I'm not even particulary a fan of Robin's character. She's left before. As far as I'm concerned it was "here's your hat, what's your hurry". I don't feel the show would suffer a bit from her departure. It's more how the loss of her character effects some of the long time characters that irritates me. Seems to me it was done without consideration to the "history" of the show. If the actress wanted out..so be it. There were plenty of ways of showing her the door without KILLING her off.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me like another nail in the GH coffin, mostly because these writers just don't get it.

Sigh. For OLTL viewers, killing Hope is like killing Jake. I get Starr needs to be "free" for Michael, but she couldn't just continue to let Great Grandma raise her baby? There are plenty of excuses that could be made to keep Hope alive but out of the picture. I am not happy. You cannot just kill off the littlest Cramer Woman! I hope GH lasts long enough for us to find out she was flung from the car, survived, and raised by the same people who have Jake.

Robin should have just faked her death like she wanted to do. Much less painful for the viewers. Aren't we supposed to want to tune in? All this senseless death makes me want to go away. More lovin', less losin'!

When Carly turned Shawn away, I was thinking she really isn't very bright. No way I would pick the Boy Wonder over a man who should know what he's doing...Guess he wasn't "wounded" or "bad" enough for Carly. I like Johnny, I would just like the novelty of him with a woman his own age.

How great do Emma Samms and Finoula Hughes look?!

I was just thinking the OLTL characters won't know what to do at GH, they are used to completely incompetent doctors, and the ones in PC are actually good!

I really hope someone figures out Maxie caused the accident. I'm ready for her to have a reality check.

Maria :upsidedow

I feel EXACTLY the same way. It's a double wammy for those who followed the Hope saga on OLTL.
Funny but when I told my daughter (age 24) they had killed off Robin on GH, she was disgusted too, lol! She hasn't even watched in years. Her reaction was the same as those expressed here. Frustration over having watched GH during the Stone/Robin and Jason years, only to have her die in a hospital accident??REALLY?:confused3 I think when the writers do something like that without regard for the characters history, the viewers...especially those that are long time viewers, feel duped.
I have to admit, I haven't even been able to watch a show in it's entirety for quite some time. I was so looking forward to the addition of the OLTL characters. Thought writers had FINALLY hit on something good. Only to have it start off this way, is a real turn off.

Did Maxie cause the accident or are you just hoping she did?

When Maxie left the lab in a huff, she grabbed her bag and it knocked off the cap on the gas (the camera even panned there so you could see it). It truly was an accident, but if she paid attention to anything other than herself, she might have noticed. Part of my disgust is I just can't stand this Maxie. I have no sympathy for her. Like Kate, (but even worse, because I've known Kirsten Storms' Maxie a long time), this is a pale imitation of the fullness of the character, and unfortunately only the spoiled, selfish part is coming through.

Okay, I was confused, sorry. I thought you were talking about the car accident, which I thought was caused by Sonny and Anthony.

I'm not too fond of this new girl playing Maxie either, but I think I read something the other day that said that she was going to be around for awhile longer.
