I finally found my cute picture of the boys we took before eating at Boatwrights! Yeah!
We left Boatwrights stuffed to the gills. I needed some gum. Whenever I eat way too much, I have to chew a piece of gum. Minty gum. I totally believe what I have read about it helping the digesting process. I had to move dinner on down or else I would be hurling in the MK. I was that full. Bless the Disney Free Dining Program.
We went to the gift shop in the POR lobby and I began my search. For the life of me I could not put my eyes on any gum. I went to the counter to ask where it was hiding, and she informed me that gum is not sold anywhere on the Disney property. I was curious to know why and she told me. Did you know that Walt Disney was visiting one of his parks and (gasp!) he stepped in gum? He was so irritated that he banned gum from being sold in any of his stores. Wild story huh?
I waddled out to the car and we made our way to the Magic Kingdom! Finally we were going to see the Castle and ride some of our most favorite rides! The boys had been counting the days until this party and they were so excited! I had plans to be there early. Before 7:00. You know they advertise the party to start at 7:00, but they will let you in at 4:00. We couldnt have made it by 4:00. We could have skipped the Surrey Bike, our swim and our dinner at Boatwrights and have been there by 4:00, but I just didnt think it was worth it. We needed some down-time away from the parks. Sometimes youve just got to roll with it and give up the plan. That is what we did and we were all feeling rested and ready by the time we got there at 6:50. Dont ever get there at 6:50. Everyone got there at 6:50.
After forever and a day, we made it through bag check, the ticket scanner and the wrist band station. We had a blast checking out everyones costumes for the evening! We grabbed our FREE double stroller. That is right, they are FREE at the
MNSSHP. The boys gladly got in and we were off! For some reason, I always go left towards Adventureland when we go in.
We bypassed a long duck dong line for trick-or-treating. You see, I had done my homework for this party! I knew not to stand in any line because the farther back you go, the less crowded it is at the candy stations and the later you stay, the candy is given away in big gobs because they are ready to get rid of it. I threw the big L sign up for the people waiting to Trick or Treat and we skipped along to our first ride of the night, Aladdin. We love this ride! We rode with about 15 Jack Sparrows, big and small.
Heres Mr Frick and Junior. Go #8!
We could not get Lil Frick to do Pirates. Big Frickles and I ran (there I go again) on in and rode it without any wait! Sweet! The new changes to the ride are awesome! Johnny D looks so freaking real!
Mr. Frick didnt feel the need to do the child swap and ride, so we took it on over to Big Thunder Mountain and Splash.
We have never ridden Splash. I was dying to go! Big Frickles didnt want to get his Halloween costume wet. Bah. Of course Lil Frick wanted nothing to do with it. We decided to save it for later and hit BTMR. I had not been on this ride since I was a teenager. I had gone to Disney with my church youth group and I know that we annoyed the stew out of some people on that trip. You take a bunch of excited, teenage goofy kids and give them the freedom to walk around the park alone and you get some irritated bystanders for sure. I had fun though.
Big Frickles and I went first and we had the time of our lives! Riding at night is beautiful!!!! We loved it! Luckily for Big Frickles, Mr. Frick wanted to ride so they went on. Lil Frick and I found a trick or treat spot and guess what, NO ONE was there! Thanks TGM! We were doing all of this during the first Boo to You! parade. We skipped it knowing that we would catch the second one. We are not parade and fireworks people. Weve always by-passed it in favor of hitting the good rides while the lines were short. This year was going to be different though. We were going to become parade and fireworks people.
We hit my all time favorite ride for life, Peter Pan! The sign for the 10 minute wait just thrilled me! You guys might think I am a ding dong for liking this ride the best, but this ride held all the magic for me when I was little. I thought it was beautiful, I loved how my clothes glowed and I think I actually thought we were flying. Somehow I passed my love for it on to Lil Frick because it is one of his favorite rides too. We actually got stopped on the ride for a little while and I felt like it was a big score! I got to enjoy it longer! Big Frickles was like big whoop. It wasnt that big of a rush for him I dont guess!
We popped in to Mickeys Philharmagic. It was as awesome as ever and again, like last year, my eyes welled up when Aladin and Jasmine came on. This show makes us all happy. We rushed out after it was over to take a quick ride on the People Mover. Yes, I still like to call it the People Mover. I giggled when I heard the page for Mr. Tom Morrow. It reminded me of another Dis friend, which reminded me of another Dis friend
and so on. Yall know who you are!
It was time to go and find a spot for the fireworks since I had officially declared us as being fireworks and parade people. I was hunting down the super secret TGM spot that I had in mind. I was on my way when we spotted a clearing on the bridge from Tomorrow Land to Main Street. We parked it and we were happy with it. Then I realized why that good spot was still open. It was right in front of a tree. Oops. Mr Frick assured us we would be fine, but I moved us a little farther down. I wasnt super pumped about the location.
I went to grab us some drinks and that is when I spotted a most excellent spot right in front of the castle. I went back to Mr. Frick and made him move the stroller and follow me. I know what he was thinking. Our spot was just fine, I was being overly nerdy about this and I needed to be happy with what I had because it was too crowded to be moving again. Oh well, I wasnt going to be happy until I got a better view. I thanked my lucky stars that the perfect spot for the Frickles Family was still there. We plopped down on the sidewalk and enjoyed one tremendously beautiful Hallowishes fireworks show. It was worth the price of admission itself. It was a good night to become "fireworks people".
Here are some pictures I attempted to get

After Hallowishes, we weaved through the thick crowd and made our way over to Buzz and found a sweet, short line! We totally dig Buzz Lightyear!
Yeah, his face is missing.
Big Frickles always rides with Mr. Frick and Lil Frick always rides with me AND he lets me steer! Weve become a good team. We have never, ever gotten stopped on Buzz, but this time we did. TWICE. Massive point totals for ole Frick here. I found something in the first room that gave me 100,000 points in one shot. Apparently I found it a few more times. I kicked everyones beehiney and I had to be a tourist nerd and take a picture of my score.
I think I did pretty spanking good! I like getting stopped on Buzz. I like stomping the rest of my family members in to the ground with my score. I like watching my DH rub his hand in agony, after I flashed him my winning score. It was his little way of saying wah wah, my hand was hurting and that is why I couldnt shoot enough points to beat a girl'. Yeah, keep on rubbing it Mr. Frick. Im not buying it.
We headed back towards Main Street to find a good spot for us to officially become parade people. I knew we had to see the Headless Horseman take his ride before the parade so we had to be situated early. Main Street was already packed. We squeezed our way past the crowds, taking a short cut by the Crystal Palace to head on over to Adventure Land. A CM stopped us from crossing the road I wanted to cross. Shoot. We stood there trying to figure out where we were going to go and then I spotted him! Pixie Dust! We were right in front of the Headless Horseman, sitting there on his beautiful horse waiting to make his ride. Both boys got a good look at him and they were super impressed. I could check that sucker off my list!
The HH galloped away to impress everyone else, and we were able to cross the street and find a pretty dandy spot for the parade on Main Street. Im not good on giving the exact location of the HH, but if you are going to the MNSSHP and you want to see him standing still, I will do my best to pinpoint it for you.
The parade Boo to You! was GREAT! I knew I wanted to see this parade after I saw LaLas video of it in her Trip Report. My boys still imitate the grave diggers dance with their little plastic shovels. We went to the beach after leaving Disney and they broke out into the grave diggers routine and thoroughly entertained their momma! The boys collected a lot of candy during the parade and we apparently picked a great parade to become parade people.
We drug our tired bodies out of the park after Boo to You! was over. We got a lot more candy as we left. It was a great time and we loved MNSSHP. We hope to do it again some day! Next time, I will not do a park the morning of. Our time at AK really wiped us out. We headed back towards POR, but we got seriously lost. I am not sure what happened. I had to call POR for help. They told me to follow the Epcot Resorts signs. Who knew?
We finally made it back to our room and we were greeted with a sweet surprise. My dad and my stepmother had sent us a goody package. Remember when I said they gave us $10 per child for souvenirs because they had something else up their sleeves? Well this was it. We had drinks and snacks galore packed in a Disney cooler. Pixie Dust! Thank you daddy and SM! We snacked a bit before crashing hard. Two great Disney days in a row
.what luck.
Up next: A boat ride and a visit with a very special Disser/friend!
