The Force is Strong in This One: SWW and Celebration VI, Disney Done Differently

I am so jealous that you live so close and can go to all 4 weeks of SWW. I love the pictures with Darth Vader.

Michele, I can't even begin to put to words how excited and trilled he was to meet these characters. Having the characters interacting as they did and cm like Sandy just added so much more to it! You know he eat, breaths, sleeps Star Wars. Once he got back to the room he would act out the M&Gs with his Lego figures. There were many times during his M&Gs where I had misty eyes because I was so touched by the compassion I saw.

Michelle, that is great. Too many times I think the characters are in such a hurry to get through the guests that they don't take the time for a proper visit. It pleased me to see that they seemed to care more about Anakin and visiting with him than rushing through the line.

how sweet Sandy went above and beyond to make Anakin's experience with Darth so special! I just love how all the characters have taken the extra time with him too!

"Come with me to the dark side. Not Universal, but the dark side of the force to the big guy."

This line gave me a good little chuckle this morning! :rotfl:
Looks like you guys really had a great day, love the way the last picture turned out with the CM's suggestion! :thumbsup2

We didn't always live so close. It was a decision we made for Grumpy's health. Turns out it was the best decicion we could have made!! Though I really miss my family that is over 1000 miles away.

Thanks.

Yes! Most of the character interactions were like this! There was a cm, Melissa, who we met one of the many times we were Darth's Mall. We tried several times to see R2D2, C3PO and Princess Leia. One of those times she gave the 10 minute warning to those of us waiting. Someone in front of us asked if she thought they'd get seen. Melissa said that it was difficult to judge since the characters were given good quality time with each person. She said when we do get to interact with the characters there, we'll appreciate it. She was right! We missed those characters that particular day and ended up with Luke again, but it was still good quality time especially since he remembered Anakin and picked up where they last left off!!!

We definately appreciated her! She was one of many that last weekend! The characters were absolutely amazing!

Glad I could give you a chuckle! Thanks, I love it too, it really does look like he's holding a helmet!

Like the reference to the Darkside!!!!

Gee, I wonder who inspired that one!? It sounded familiar, huh? Thanks for welcoming me to the "other" darkside!

Hi! Catching up after a few days away. I love the pic of Anakin and the ewok. How the are standing eye to eye looking at each other is priceless!! Hooray for Sandy helping with Earth. Again always amazed at the wonderful cms........they help us ignore the few that need to go back to disney school!

Thanks! A year ago him looking eye to eye with anyone (person or character) was few and far between. He's come a long way in a year's time! It makes that eye to eye contact so much more special to me!! It's a big accomplishment!

We encountered many wonderful cms during SWW! So many of them weren't even from DHS but other parks and were working over time. Often they couldn't answer questions, but we found them to be quick to either ask someone who would know or direct us to the person who would be able to answer.

I saw this today and it made me think of Anakin!

Apparently people think the "N" in ESPN looks like Boba Fett!

Glad to hear he is doing better with eye contact. :goodvibes

A month from today we will be at Celebration VI!! The guys already have their clothing picked out, and I was told I HAD to find some Star Wars shirts or costume. Well I'm an old fuddy duddy and won't be going in costume, so searching for some shirts.

I tried to download some more pictures today, but ran into difficulty with photobucket and my andoid phone. After the last update I did on the phone, so many things don't work the way they use to. I lost my swype on the keyboard and the ability to download pictures from the phone to the computer. It will only show the first picture ever taken with the phone and nothing else. Tried to download via phone to photobucket and the upload button doesn't show. Hopefully the kinks will get worked out before I get to the last day! The majority of those pics are on my phone and not the photopass CD.

Back to the TR...Characters were Anakin's only priority that day. DH's was to see a celebrity (his FP was for 3:30). Mine was to see what kind of show Dave Filoni was going to have. We had lunch reserations at Sci Fi. And the forecast was calling for rain.

I used to love dressing in costume. Not so much anymore, although if I could find a really cute one I might. Good luck on the t-shirt hunt.

Oh no! When you asked on FB today if other Android users were having issues I didn't realize it was due to the upgrade. That stinks!!

You know you can take it in to one of the Sprint stores (if that's where you got it) and they will take off the new update and reinstall the old one. I think it wipes out what apps you've downloaded, but they can save your pictures before doing it.
I had to do this with my last phone. :rolleyes2

I really like the Her Universe Darth Vader shirt. I might buy that one. I wonder if there is mark up at Celebration or if I should buy it from the website? Or maybe from Hot Topics?

If I was thin I wouldn't hesitate on a costume.

I talked to one of the sprint guys at our Spring store and he walked me through a possible fix. It didn't work to be able to use photobucket, it didn't work on our old lap top or Grumpy's laptop. But it DID work on our new laptop and I was able to download all the pictures to a storage drive. So now I can download from there to photobucket!! Update to come soon!

Update on the Carbon Freeze Me

I just got a call from Fed Ex that there is a package for Anakin that is undeliverable. Apparently our address doesn't exist?! They had the correct address :confused3 Anyway, it's been in town since yesterday, just hasn't made it's way to our house...yet.

Carbon Freeze Me Arrived!![/
SIZE]

I had to look very hard to see his likeness. It's my little guys face, Han's hair and body.

Oh he was so excited to get his package! He'd really like to play with it, but from what I've read they are fragile. I told him he needs to keep it "mint, in the box"!

Dh is really good at thinking ahead. When we ordered it, he knew Anakin would want to play with it. So he started searching for an inexpensive alternative online. He found a Lego frozen carbonite Han Solo at a great price! He hid it for until the real one arrived. So now he has his for display and the Lego one to play with!

Wow how cool!! They are rather pricey aren't they? At first I thought it would be more life size. Silly me!

They did show us samples at the experience. So I knew it was going to be an 8 inch figure and the size isn't a surprise.

What did surprise me, it was shipped unsealed. Both the box it's in and the outside cardboard box weren't sealed. To top it off, the Fed ex delivery person left it at the door just before a thunderstorm.

Someone on the tip thread he reported that they got a drop of water on theirs and it stained. So I'm sure glad I got it inside before the thunderstorm!!

I think $45-$50 would have been a more reasonable price for it.

I was delusional about the size obviously because I did think it was bigger.

The fact that it isn't sealed is crazy. I am so glad you got it in before the storm.
