After our tour of the 70's and 80's we went back to the room and got grandma and after putting the blankets in her ecv basket we headed
to Pop's bus stop. It was time to head back to the MK for our D23 dinner and then the party after the park closed.
As we entered the park we discovered the band was playing right at the entrance...

We listened to a few songs, singing and clapping along. We really enjoyed this and loved watching all the little ones dancing to the music. Pure Disney magic

We then stopped to get this picture, which is one of my very favorites from this trip..

I know a lot of people get this shot everytime they visit but somehow we've always missed it

We then headed to the Diamond Horseshoe where the D23 dinner was to be held. We were going to meet MyMuse (Michele) there and enjoy dinner together. We got there about half an hour early and there was already a pretty long line. We got in and shortly after Michele walked up. It was like seeing an old friend and we discussed our trips while we waited. When we were finally let in there was no assigned seating and you just chose a spot and visited the various food stations situated around the room. (the whole thing was very crowded and sort of hectic so we didn't get pics. sorry)
While I was in the salad line I happened to spot Deb from All Ears. I told her how much we enjoy her site and how helpful all their info is

When we sat back down we all talked and ate. Well sort of ate. The buffet was not to mine or Caitlin's liking so we didn't actually eat much at all.

(this soup and salad was all Caitlin took)
Once everyone was seated the host for the evening took to the stage and welcomed everyone. As he did that, servers went around and poured champagne for everyone for a toast to D23. I really wasn't paying much attention to the table and when it was time to raise our glasses I noticed Caitlin had champagne too? This was really odd since no one EVER thinks she is older than she is, she is always guessed younger. Sometimes a lot younger

Anyway, as the gentleman spoke Caitlin kept saying "there's going to be some really cool special guest to do the toast" and "someone's coming out I just know it!" She was really psyched since we had read about all the special guests the Disneyland party was having. (old Disney movie stars, character voices etc) So guess who did the toast?
Well c'mon who do you think was the toastmaster?
Are you ready for this?
Welllllllllllll.................................If you guessed the guy who had been talking the whole time......you are CORRRECT

After dinner we said goodbye to Michele and agreed to look for each other later and she headed one direction and we headed to Toon Town. Caitlin wanted to see Toon Town one last time in case it closed before our August trip. (turns out it should still be there in August

We then paid a visit to Mickey's house! Our host wasn't there and he obviously wasn't prepared for visitors! His kitchen is being remodeled and it's a mess!
Mickey's game room...

A close-up of his paddle

Checkers..

Is it vain of him to have everything shaped like him?
No rabbit ears for Mickey's tv..

That messy kitchen I mentioned...here's the floor

Blue prints

This is going to be hard to clean up!

After visiting his house we made our way into his backyard and garage...

Are these overalls cute or what?!
