Bagels and lox WITH capers!
I'm really more of a fishstick eater - and less of a fish connoisseur, so salmon is the last fish I want near me......or my bagel.
Hi everyone, my first post on the podcast boards!I normally lurk around. You guys all seem so nice here
Debbie
I like fish and eat a lot of it. I also enjoy bagels. I don't, however, enjoy them together.
There seems to be some confusion on Miss Nikki's part.
The conversation started when Nikki announced that "she had never heard of putting fish on bagels" and that "no one in NJ eats bagels and lox".
So in order for the poll to be an accurate representation of the conversation held in Chat....the poll should read HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF BAGELS AND LOX.
I know many, many people that dont care for it and that is certainly understandable.
You could wrap grapfruit in chocolate and $20 bills and I'm still not eating it.
But...please first let Nikki know whether you have ever HEARD of bagels and lox and then let her know if you actually like it.
What if the 20s were just used as a wrapper and you were allowed to take them off?
I was just looking at the Delish menus and pictures and can't wait to get some bagels on our next trip down in April. We have awful bagels down here in Southern NJ.
Bagels and Lox are a certainty on the holidays and at special occasions. But my personal taste, I'd rather have a nice tuna fish salad on a lightly toasted sesame seed bagel, thank you very much.
Now that's where I'd prep a tuna melt in my toaster oven. I'd put some tuna salad on a bagel and put a slice of American cheese on it until it melted over the top. Yum.
