Craig Gillespie's second Disney film (Million Dollar Arm) is based on a true story of a 1952 event. A four-man Coast Guard crew attempts to save over 30 men off the coast of Cape Cod after their oil tanker literally splits in half during a horrific winter storm. Chris Pine plays the captain of the small crew. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and thought the directing was outstanding. There were some corny moments but no Disney movie's complete without them sometimes. This is the first Disney film where both of our kids turned down seeing it in the theater. Both my 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter thought it looked too intense. They were right. It is extremely stressful at times but very entertaining. I give it 3 ship's captains out of 5.
