Ok, here begins my super long comment. ARE YOU READY????
In response to...
The Cast:
HOORAY FOR COSPLAY!!!!! I've always wanted to play D&D. My friends and I are all about Munchkins though.
Kristin:
Ok, I already responded to your favourites. My little sister is the BIGGEST HP fan I know. When she's bored, just for fun, she'll say, "Harry Potter". In response, I would say, "Draco Malfoy". And it'll go on until either one of us gets bored or runs out of names to list.
I bought her a Slytherin tie when the exhibit came to Toronto. I made myself a Ravenclaw costume one year and am working on a Hufflepuff scarf.
I'll be taking my sister to WWoHP in 2012!! I'm so excited. I can't wait to hear about your trip there.
Steve:
Vegas is awesome btw, but it definitely needs some planning or it's a lot of aimless walking, and not being sure what there is to do or what's next besides gambling.
It must be awesome that he works at Borders.
I've been dying to play Bioshock 2.
There's this really cute Ironman plush at Hollywood Studios. I would've gotten my brother one cause he loves Ironman too, but I got him something more practical.
Al:
The anime club at my school is crazy about Monster Hunter 2. It's practically all they play.
Quinn:
Haha, how cool she was just, "the gf of a friend" that turned into a bff.
My housemate has guinea pigs, but unfortunately, they're not very happy cause she's very neglectful.
OH MY GOSH, I haven't heard of someone speak of Anita Blake since high school! A friend of mine was crazy about that series and we would tease her about reading "porn" at school. But seriously.....it's so porn.
Kathleen:
Hm.....FF10 huh......I guess I preferred FF10-2.
It's awesome that you guys are helping her explore the world.
Jason:
He's a LARPER!!! I was in a game once, but I guess I'm just not the active type.
Lulz, Warcrack indeed.
A Shakespeare fan! He's awesome already.
Adam:
OMG, I love Wall-E too!
Is P&P with zombies any good? It seems a lot of classics are being re-written with zombies now. I mean, I love zombies and all, but I dunno if I would want to read a book I'm not interested in, JUST CAUSE there are zombies.
Wait.....I probably would....nevermind.
Kevin:
Gambit! He was my favourite from the original series too.
Resort:
I LOVED the POP. That is a great choice. The 80's building is definitely awesome. It's actually pretty close to the bus stops for DtD and the waterparks. You can look at the map on the POP thread and request the building closer to the busses.
If you HAVE looked at the map, don't be fooled by it. It may LOOK far, but everything is actually really close! I stayed in the 70's in building 6 and it was a short walk away from the main building and the busses.
I HIGHLY recommend staying here. The 90s building has giant cell phones! And a computer pool!
When sharing a room, don't forget that Disney technically only allows 2 adults in one room (minus the suites) and charges $10 a night per extra adult up to 2 extras.
Meaning, you and Steve can stay in one room, but you're allowed 2 more adults in the room for $10/night/person. Keep that in mind.
Also, the rooms with 2 beds in a Value resort are doubles. There's only one Moderate that offer two queen size beds and I don't think it's CBR.
If you're considering CBR, remember that the Pirate rooms are at the further points of the resort.
Tentative Schedule:
If you choose to eat at T-Rex, I hear the Ice Age room is the coolest to eat in.
If you choose the Earl (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND), the Full Montague is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
At DHS, Starring Rolls or Fairfax Fair are great QS places.
Breakfast at Ohana's! That sounds great! I have to do that one year too....
Hooray for drinking around the world!!! Getting drunk at Epcot is seriously, THE BEST.
For your kingdoms day, since you haven't been to AK since it first opened, you won't have been on Expedition Everest. It's a great ride you can't miss.
About MK in the evening, it would be great if it happens to be a eve EMH day cause there is so much to do.
So since this is your plan, I assume you'll be getting Hoppers? It doesn't seem that worth if if you'll only be using it once cause it's $50+ more per ticket.
Cast pictures:
Awwww, you and Steve are so cute! I think it's funny that your hair is now reversed.
I like Quinn's hair
And I agree with you about Kathleen's picture. Very author-esque
I love Jason's Fiancee's outfit. Those shorts with those tights are TOO CUTE!
Adam and Kevin's costumes are GREAT!!!! Hm....you're from Chicago so is this taken at Anime Central? A friend of mine also does a lot of duct tape cosplays.
Last year, Andrew and I went to a con as the Red and Blue Engies! I did a gender-bend of Blue.
Andrew even made a little sentry gun! We're both huge fans of the game.
When people asked why we weren't trying to kill each other, we told them we were trying to make purple. =D
Schedule change:
Oh, that sounds like a pretty good idea. If you're plannig on doing that, then I would recommend you guys stay offsite cause the cab fare to Universal won't be cheap from a Disney resort. And with so many of you, a 2nd cab may be needed. Or you'll be paying for a larger cab.
Making ADRS 6 months out is when you can START making them. There's a website that tells you the exact dates you can start making your ADRS and buying tickets. An ADR calculator I think.
Email to friends:
NIIIICE email. And great resource websites too. My trip started off with 6 of us, but the other 4 dropped....
GAC:
That card mostly helps you skip lines and lets you use the FP line. Since there are plenty of places for you to sit down and rest, and most lines are covered, I don't think you'll need one of these.
About a travel agent, I would recommend getting one of the special Disney TAs, like Small World Vacations or Mousefan Travel. They're free and they're the first at knowing about Disney deals as soon as they come out, or even earlier!
Halloween:
OMG YOUR COUSINS ARE SO CUTE!!! I have a bunch of baby cousins, but I still haven't seen their Halloween pics.
I love your Halloween napkins! Haha, bring your own boos.
Very cool costume to wear to the pharmacy. Andrew's a fan of the series.
Another change:
Ooooh! It's great that you can still be on the DDP if you check in a day earlier.
If you stay at Pop, you can easily upgrade your free QSDP to a DDP for $10/night. Maybe that would still be more affordable than staying at CBR?
OKAY!! I'm all caught up. Sorry about that super long post. I promise they'll be shorter after this.
