Anybody else enjoy The Far Side by Gray Larson? :rotfl: :rotfl:

I did a biography on Gary this year (mainly so I could read the Far Side in class) and I was just wondering.

For those of you who don't know what it is, it is a single panel cartoon and is very funny. :) :rotfl2:

I miss the Far Side SO much...
Favorites: "Pull", "Cat Fud", and "Dolphins and Scientists". All classics...

Plus the deer with the birthmark...

Bummer of a birthmark, Hal.

I think my favorite is "School for the Gifted"

Several years ago my husband got several of the books of his collections. My children have recently discovered them and love them! So funny!

My favorite is the the shot of the two pilots flying in a plane. They see a mountain goat in the middle of a cloud, right in front of them...

"Hey, how did that mountain goat get way up here?"

:rotfl:

I love The Far Side. I used to get the day-by-day calendars every year. Do they still make them?

My favorite is the "What dogs hear" one: blah blah blah Ginger.

Or the cows driving past a people farm and yelling "yackity-yack" out of the window.

I love the one with the one pilot who tells the other "watch this" and proceeds to announce that they're going through turbulence and then turns the wheel back and forth while the two pilots laugh their butts off. :teeth: :teeth:

I used to keep one on my desk too - haven't been able to find one the past couple of years.

I have two in my pile of "keepers" that crack me up:

deck of a pirate ship - small boy with mickey ears on...pirate captain is saying "And You! What's your story?...If you ain't a mutineer, then what the he$$ are you?"

two deer reading a letter - one is saying to the other "Oh my God? It's from Connie! She's written me a 'John deer' letter!"

Eyeball in rear view mirror ... "Objects may be closer than they appear" :rotfl:

Horse up on blocks with no legs ... "The bad side of town western style" :rotfl:

Some of his humor was right up to the line if you know what I mean...one of my favorites might help understand what I'm talking about.

On one side of the strip is a nursery or something like that, and the other side had a dingo farm. The caption was "Trouble brewing". :goodvibes

Another favorite of mine is the one where a very shaken lady is evidently describing something or someone for a police officer. Another police officer is sneaking up behind her & going to grab her shoulder as a joke.

My favorite is the big picture window with a crumpled up Peter Pan at the bottom....

The old couple sitting on the couch...the old guy says, "Wow, that was some bird that hit the window!"

:rotfl:

My all time favorite is the dog sucking on a water hose as his dog wife is saying "So going out running with the Boys today?"
