Yes if she does take a napshe usually falls asleep in the car on the way home from running errands, then if I have to wake her up because it is getting late then you are right it does make for a bad night. She started not napping when I started staying home with her so it wasn't a big deal because she just wnt to bed earlier but there are some days that she just falls apart all morning and then those days I can get her to nap.DS is getting to that point now, but the problem with him is that he'll still be tired. If we're home, it's not such a big deal, because he's not cranky or unruly, and we can play and everything. The problem is when he doesn't nap at my mom's on a day I work, and then falls asleep in the car on the way home. By then, it's late, he wakes up badly, and it's just a rough night for all.

He isn't even missing the money I have already put down. We don't use cc so we are paying for this before we go. This will also be our first family vacation that we take that we don;t go visit our families back east.
His family never took vacations anywhere except to go visit family. My family always took a vacation somewhere. We almost always went to NH for a long weekend and went to Storyland and Santa's Villiage. We also went to PEI a couple of times, I could go on but the point I am trying to make is that our ideas of vacationing are different.
not fair.
