LegoMom, I don't know. I think you're having entirely too much fun here. :lmao:

Good night ladies....I need sleep!

I hope it went well!

I JUST BOOKED A STAY AT THE POLY!!! 9/26-10/2/09!

I haven't stayed at the Polynesian (or any deluxe for that matter) since I was 10 years old!

Now I just have to figure out a way to pay for it...

but I have until August 12 to worry about that!
WOO HOO!!! :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Couldn't decide this morning so you get two!

:rotfl: Why are these so funny to me!?! :rotfl2:

Good Morning Everyone.

I had the weirdest dreams ever last night. Everything from shopping for towels with Edward Cullen, to a new 3D muppet movie at DHS and then it ended with CP winning a 10 day vacation to the Bahamas but it was during her Beach Club vacation so she declined. :rotfl:

That's some dreamin'...

I think I may change/cancel my reservation... I just got caught up in the darn Disney moment... the Poly was only a few hundred more than POR and if I turned it into a package, dining was cheap and you might as well park hop and next thing you know a little pin code flyer in the mail still costs you $4000 before you even leave home :headache:

This is why the mouse loves me... I am so bad at this

Keep it for now.....you have plenty of time to cancel it!

On Friday we took Liam to see a speech specialist for an evaluation since at 20 months it’s more then obvious that he is behind for his age. The appointment went well. The specialist, Amy, was very nice and Liam took to her right away. Basically she just let him play and played with him as she observed him and asked us questions. Liam had no idea that he was being evaluated, he thought he was just playing and exploring the room we were in even thou she was testing him at the same time.

We don’t have the written report yet but a couple of the highlights were:

Liam knows that communication is a two way street…and has very good eye contact when he is trying to communicate.

He is currently using his whole body to get his needs and wants known….like when he goes to the fridge and grabs the handle when he wants a milk or juice. Or when he hands us a toys if he needs help with it or wants us to do something with it.

All the sounds that he does make are all the hard, back of the throat types (no p’s and m’s that you make in the front of your mouth with your lips). It’s all sort of linked to how physical he is….when he is moving he makes more sounds then when he is sitting quietly playing with something.

And she didn’t rule out that he might have an issue with his mouth going on too, based on that he won’t let us look/touch in his mouth and how he tends to overstuff food in his mouth.

In a nut shell, it seems that he has great development in everything but his responsive speech. And it’s recommended that we get early invention help for Liam that is provided by the state of NH. I put in a call this morning to the intake coordinator for our area to get the ball rolling. If it all goes like we think it will, Liam should be getting in-home therapy once a week starting in February.
Amy gave us some ideas of things to start doing now and she is going to mail us a packet of info too.

That’s it for now until we hear back from the Early Invention program.

Hehehe, isn't it scary how fast it all adds up!?! What about the WL? It's a bit cheaper and it's still very close to MK. I would just keep thinking about it for a bit, don't cancel all together. :thumbsup2

Well, now that the cat funnies are posted and out of the way, I must say my week is not starting out well!! First of all, after not being in school since December 10th, the kids' first day back is on a 2-hr. delay due to ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we are supposed to get another nasty storm on Wednesday. More ice.

Someone just shoot me now....

And I'm STILL waiting to hear back from the realtor on when we're getting this blasted house on the market!!! She e-mailed me last week, I e-mailed back on Friday, and so far this morning still nothing. This doesn't bode well. Lack of communication is my biggest pet peeve, and was our last realtor's biggest flaw by far (among many, I'm sorry to say...). I dunno maybe that's just the way the industry works, but it's certainly not like they're busy with a lot of sales right now!

I hesitate to go to my dad's later this month. I fear I will just up and refuse to get on the return flight!:lmao:

It sounds like everything went well. I am so glad that you are able to get help for him from the state. :goodvibes

Give yourself some time to think about it and think about what's reasonable. :goodvibes

Hey hon. Just read your description of what's going on with Liam. I'm glad that the evaulation process was so non-invasive, and that you have some clear cut answers. :goodvibes

Oh, hon, what a bummer about the weather. I know you're probably sick of hearing that, but ugh.

Talk about a loooong vacation!

I'm sorry about your Realtor. I have the best mental image in my mind of you sitting down in Florida, refusing to move and make your return flight. :rotfl:

Yes, yes indeed. Actually the Tampa airport is quite nice! I wonder how long I could get away with just hanging around there, moving from terminal to terminal. They have a whole floor of shops and eateries and some nice comfy benches. I'm good!:rotfl2:

Good morning everyone! I'm really hating being at work this morning. I woke up with a pounding headache, and it hasn't gone away yet. I finally took a few ibubrofen and am hoping it will help a little bit. I'm hoping that I'm better by the time I have to go to yoga class tonight.

I finally got around to taking the majority of my Christmas decorations down last night when I got home from work. I don't even want to guess how many trips I made up and down the steps to the basement. I did everything but the tree. I'm going to try to do that bit by bit over the rest of the week.

I JUST BOOKED A STAY AT THE POLY!!! 9/26-10/2/09!

How exciting! :cool1:

I'd give it awhile before cancelling. See how you feel after thinking about it awhile. You can always downgrade too. It's so easy to get swept up in the planning. I've been forcing myself to stay away from the phone to upgrade my first 3 nights for next Dec.

I'm glad that things went well at the evaluation and that they seem to have a plan in place.

Okay, I'm in full blown Twilight obsession mode.

I read all four books in two days, and saw the movie on day 3... :rolleyes1 I thought the movie was okay, but pretty 1 dimensional compared to all that went on in the book. As usual, book trumps movie.

So what did I do when I came home? I downloaded the audiobook so I can listen while I'm doing whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing...

Isn't there a story out there about some man living in an airport?

Someone help me out, where have I seen this?

See, LegoMom, you could be the next news story! :thumbsup2

We haven't even started taking ours down yet. I'm thinking we'll work on it this weekend.

I hope your headache gets better! At least yoga is nice and relaxing, that should help. :goodvibes

You know, I guess I'm the only weirdo who didn't get the full blown obsession until I actually saw the film.

And once I saw it...oh boy. I mean, I can't even describe how that movie just did it for me. :lmao: Well not without getting banned.

Anyway, since I've seen it, I've been rereading the books, checking out different websites, looking at Hot Topic to see what shirts etc they have.

Oh yeah.

It's bad. :rolleyes1

LOL!!! Didn't they make a movie with Tom Hanks about just this same thing LOL!!!!

Nevermind...I'm so late to posts some day LOL!!!!!!! This is what I get for going back to work!!!

Totally realistic, too -- I would not give up my Beach Club vacation for the Bahamas! :rotfl:

What color towels did you and Edward choose? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
