The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

OK, who do I have to blame for my new facebook flair obession?

My obsession plate is pretty full these days and to keep piling on new ones really isn't that easy....

It is awfully fun though... LL, I think you get credit for this one too... As long as you don't start suggesting I jump off any bridges I should be ok...:lmao:

Y'all should have warned me more about Twilight. I mean I knew when I finally read it I'd love it, but I mean I LOVE IT. So much that I started reading Twilight at 11 am yesterday and I couldn't stop myself from staying up till the wee hours of the morning to finish up New Moon. Both books, one day.

Obsessed much?

So I still needed the other two that are out (there are only four now, right?!), and since my son (who I got the first two books for for Christmas) needed gifts still for Three Kings Day on the 6th... I bought him the remaining two and I'm totally reading them during the next three days before I give t hem to him. :rolleyes1

And I think I'll take him out to get a haircut tomorrow where we'll make a completely spur of the moment decision to see the movie...

Lara, I know exactly what you mean -- the first book I borrowed from one of my students, started reading it that night, read, read, read, and had to be "sick" the next day to finish it. I couldn't breathe until the book was finished -- my family would talk to me and I wouldn't even realize it -- it was just some background noise.

Cracking me up about the spur of the moment decision to go to the movie. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I figure since I'm not going to be on the food plan I'd make my own little payment card.

I really like that idea.

It's ok, so far I am enjoying it...

lots of my obsessions come and go in waves - there really is only so much room on a plate and so much time in the day...

For example, last night I was up until 2 am, as borrowed a bunch of old CDs from my sister over the holidays, so updated my ipod and then I listened to itunes for hours while re-reading New Moon & Eclipse...

Hey, guys. Just checking in really quick to say hello!

I've just been taking a little break from the computer to spend some time with my family. DH goes back to work tomorrow, and I'm a little depressed. Silly, I know, but we had such a great time with him home this week. And I didn't have to bring DS to my mother's when I worked, and that was so nice.

Speaking of work, there's a LOT of drama going on there right now. To the point where it's so not enjoyable to be around one particular person. Who is, in fact, creating most of the drama. And I think will end up totally backfiring on her. Honestly, I'm just hoping I can outlast her.

Please give me the strength to outlast her. :lmao:

LegoMom, I'm very very into being financially responsible, as I'm sure you know, but in this particular instance, I think I'd go. It's one of those things that I think you would regret if you didn't.

Myrsfmly, I can't believe you got a pin code! How jealous am I! Have you tried playing around with dates yet?

And to whoever else I missed, hi! Hope your weekends were lovely. :goodvibes

Those ones never leave and seldom get fired....but I'll cross my fingers for you!

I didn't get a chance to do run the numbers yet... I want to call CRO when no one is around so I don't get the kids hopes up or caught by DH and I haven't had a single second home alone yet all day...

which actually wasn't a bad thing - I am feeling post vacation depression too. we've all been off (except DH who has come and gone a few times) since the week before Christmas and I really don't want it to end.

I went lunchbox friendly food shopping today and did mounds of laundry and feel the need to eat lots of ice cream from the gallon.

I am also feeling off about something else... Recently it became a law that all children must receive a flu shot to attend school in our fine state... don't get me wrong... my kids are immunized religiously no pun intended... and I used to always give DD4 her flu shot, and still give it to my bigger kids, but every year it makes her really really sick, like sick for weeks sick, & there is no guarantee that it even protects against the right strain of flu so I stopped giving it to her and she stopped getting sick (my dr said it was a coincidence that every year the day after her flu shot she came down with what he claimed was a different strain of the fu)

so anyway what I feel funny about is that the only way I could get her to be exempt from the shot is to write a letter saying it was against my religious beliefs for her to get it. If there is a religion that opposes inducing illness in my baby every year - sign me up, but I just feel like they have pigeonholed me into a dishonest corner when the truth should suffice! :headache:

Oh, I totally understand about not wanting to get there hopes up. You know, you could always check some rates online too, and just take the 40% off, it would give a a ballpark, you know?

Wow, I thought it was just me! Not that I'm happy you're depressed, that would just sound wrong, but I'm sort of in that boat, too. I did a ton of food shopping today as well (we don't have lunchboxes yet...well, unless you count my Belle one I take to work) and focused on getting a lot of fruit and some healthier dinner options.

How frustrating to be put in that position. You remind me, I need to set up DS' annual visit to his pediatrician soon. I can't belive he'll be four in February. :scared1:

Wow. They won't even take a doctor's note or anything? That puts you in a very tricky situation and just promotes people being dishonest, not a good example for the kiddos.

Good night ladies....I need sleep!

I'll try to post tomorrow about Liam's speech evaluation. Overall it went well.

I JUST BOOKED A STAY AT THE POLY!!! 9/26-10/2/09!

I haven't stayed at the Polynesian (or any deluxe for that matter) since I was 10 years old!

Now I just have to figure out a way to pay for it...

but I have until August 12 to worry about that!

GOOOOoooooooooooooooooood MORNING, Lapuettes!

See, I'm trying to be positive. Well, there's no choice really, I mean DH goes back to work today whether I like it or not. :lmao:

But I'm hoping to work in a play date for DS with one of our neighbors and her son, and I think that'll be nice.

What's on everyone's agenda today? :goodvibes
