The Fab Four Hit WDW! Updated: This Time Next Week Posts!

The mama's boy is happening here too. He hears the word mom and gets all worked up LOL!

Remember too the Disney Visa discounts at shops. I know the World of Disney is a good one to use it at.... I thought I read that more where doing that now, but I am not sure.

Get that calendar done...... or A won't have any pieces to take off!

Can't wait to see that calendar! We're hitting the apple orchard next weekend. Hopefully I'll get some good Christmas card pictures of the kiddos along with lots and lots of apples.:goodvibes

I think that person was talking about the Character Connection that's open to everyone. The Disney Visa meet and greet is in Innoventions - west I think - the one with the fire truck. It's right near that area as well.

Here's what it says on the website:

Oh, thanks! That is the one I was looking for...

I'll have to look into the Visa discount. We aren't using AAA this year, so I thought our discount was lost.

I hope you get some good pictures!! A. is at the stage where she won't stand still for one second so "good" pictures are almost impossible.

Well, here it is, the countdown chart! Nothing too spectacular, but it gets the job done. We're down to 25 days! :woohoo:

Last night I started pulling out all of my travel size stuff. Let's just say that I think I need to join TSA (travel stuff anonymous). I have WAY to much.

As far as how I plan to make this trip more relaxing, I've decided to focus on what we are doing at that moment rather than what we need to do for that day. If we are running late, we are running late. If we have to miss a dinner for some reason (naps, bad moods, tired) we miss a dinner. I'm not going to stress. The only thing I am not missing is the dessert party. I've been dieting and I will not miss those desserts!

This is going to be hard for me because I always feel like we are "missing out". I'm not sure what I think we are missing, but that is how I feel.

Any suggestions on the relaxation part? I feel like I need a phrase to repeat like George from Seinfeld. "Serenity NOW!"

The Countdown looks super!!!

As far as relaxing -- let me know what you figure out because I can never seem to do that when I am at Disney! :sad2:

Love the count down calendar. The kids are not aware of our trip so we don't have a public count down calender that they can see. But I have a countdown calculator running on my computer lol. I can't believe we only have 24 more days left!! Are you ready yet? I'm not lol. I'm trying to catch up and start getting things ready to pack. Then silly me looked at my weekends and went oh no lol (check out my TR). It should be interesting.

Great countdown calendar! We are using a chain to countdown the days. I hear you about trying to make a more relaxing trip. I thought our last trip in April would be more relaxing, but we ended up pushing ourselves to exhaustion. I have a feeling that this upcoming trip will be no different. My sister has never been to WDW with her kids so I have lots planned.

I know now not to be disappointed if we can't make it to our reservation. It happens with children. Our can't miss places are the Princess breakfast at Norway (we will get charged if we don't show up), MNSSHP and HHN. The dessert party sound fantastic!!! I've never heard of it! Dessert are my favorite food!

I know what you mean about missing out. I always seem to feel that way too!

I am so not ready. September is such a busy month for us with birthdays and school and everything else. I feel SO behind!!

I am so behind on all my subscriptions. I'll go check out your PTR.

I love the countdown!!

I have no tips on relaxing. I'm not very good at it.

Yeah, this is the wrong board for planning a relaxing trip. Thought I would give it a shot though. :rotfl:

That is what I'm afraid is going to happen. We are going to get there and I'm going to turn into crazy Disboards lady who needs to do everything. Let's hope I can stick to the new plan.

I like the countdown chain. I think I'm going to try that next year.

There is no way I'm missing the Dessert Party...even if I have to go alone!
!:lmao:

UGH! I'm so frustrated. The Disney store has absolutely nothing fun for B. to wear on our trip. I stopped in the one that is close to us and the lady said she had heard they are going to carry less and less "baby" clothes.

So, poor B., he only has 2 shirts. One Buzz I got him at Wal-Mart and an old Mickey shirt A. got on our first trip (that may be too big still).

Any ideas?

Disney will be very happy to sell you some clothes. Its the land of gift shops! Every day buy some thing for him to wear the next day. We will be there Oct.18-24th, so if I see a naked toddler I will know my advice was bad. We fly out of Flint just for the nonstop flights on Airtran. I'm late with this, but our philosophy is " next time". If we don't do something this trip we just say "next time". Our grandkids are 7,5, 3 and a half. So far, they never know what we miss, but this might be the last trip like that, the oldest is getting too wise. We love SSR. Hope you do too. Bye from Northern Michigan:love:

Cute countdown calendar!! Gotta love HD.:thumbsup2 Your relaxation plan looks good. I LOL at the Costanza reference. I can see George's dad yelling serenity NOW in anything BUT a serene manner.:rotfl2: I hope that's not you in a month!

Considering how worked up I got about Tinkerbelle I am not good at relaxing when planned. However after that moment I did let it go...

Oh, trust me, I know all about the gift shops. Perhaps too well! :rotfl:

I love your philosophy. If you see us in the parks make sure to yell "Next Time" at me if I'm out of line. :)

Yes, love HD. When I was getting them the guy at the counter was giving me the eye. It could have been that I was taking a large amount of paint chips or it could have been the toddler having a breakdown at my feet. :rolleyes1

Love the Costanza's! I hope I'm not yelling it, but I do see myself whispering it.

You had your moment and then it was gone. I hope to only have one moment.

Only 17 short days and we'll be in Orlando!! I keep forgetting that our first night is off-site, so technically we won't be in the World until 18 days.

I am so lucky to have good friends. One good friend sent me two onesies for B. to wear during our trip. Some of you might recognize them. ;)

Also, I'm happy to report that we finally got my laptop fixed! :woohoo: We thought it was the plug but it turned out to be the power cord! So, I have all my pix from our previous trips! I decided to post a favorite each day until we leave.

This MAY be my favorite ever. It's just so sweet.

Hey Drea, not that I think you need anything else to do as you are a very, very busy lady BUT have you wandered down the disboards to Creative Disigns (almost at the very bottom) to see all of the magnificant transfers you could put on either onsies or tshirts for your little guy? I am making some for all of us, but mostly for my grandson Jackson who will wear them with no reserve-not so much my grown up son who by this time thinks his mother has totally gone crazy over Disney stuff! He does still love me though and has agreed to 1 tshirt with Kamp Family Fall Break on it.

Can you believe we are so close to our trip????

:thumbsup2 I love the countdown calendar. I don't get to do one since the kids have no idea about the trip, so I really enjoy seeing yours!

I have thought about doing that but haven't gotten around to it yet. With the two new (to us) shirts he has 4, I think that is good for now.

I am so excited!! Are you packed yet?;)

16 more days!

The pictures today are of us on our first family trip. We had an early ADR for CP, so we took advantage of an empty Main Street.
