Does anyone have an idea of how hard that will be to get? We have done the main dining room several times and he thinks we are going there (so he packs his suit ;)) but i wanted to up the wow factor in honor of the 15th.

Very hard is the simple answer if you leave it later than the 180day mark. There is only one table available each night so you need to be on the phone 180 days out at 9am EST with all your dates available. If you're staying in a Disney resort you are able to book at the 180day from the start of your vacation and up to 10days beyond that so essentially 190days. I didn't specifically want the CT, I would have been happy with getting the VR for my father's 70th, but as I was on the phone, (407) 939-3862, I enquired and it was available on 1 of the 5 dates I gave them. You'll probably be able to get the Main Room or the VR at a later date but you can pretty much forget the Chef's Table

Hi folks!

I'm currently set to celebrate my 10th anniversary with dinner at the Chef's Table later this month. I am a bit confused by the posts here about "splitting" a single wine pairing. I get that you get three glasses each (with full pours), for a total of 6 full glasses. And I'm assuming they don't give you 2 separate glasses in this instance (that's all right, DH will only want a sip or two and I already have all his cooties). I guess my question is, how do they handle the other patron's wine choices? Should I just order one wine pairing for myself and let him share a bit, or does it make a difference if we "split" the pairing?

I hope that made some sense.

Also, YAY, Chef's Table!

You simply specify in each course which wine you want. They bring you one glass. You can then share back and forth. When my partner and I did it, in a couple of courses, we each wanted a glass of wine. We just swapped glasses.

Whew, after not being able to do it online at the 180 day mark I called in and was able to get the Chef's Table for my first choice of nights! We will be there celebrating on December 2nd - Can't wait!

We did it in 2011. I got to choose 3 courses, and DW got to choose 3. They didn't have to be the same courses or wines. I think we both chose our meat course, and I recall having port with the cheese course. It was something to have the right wine with the right food, proper cutlery (some I'd never seen or heard of), and varied but thought out breads and spreads.

My 180 date is on Sunday, and I think I'm going to pull the trigger and try to book V&A!! I'm very excited about this. I had a question though. Earlier in the thread, I thought I had read that you could get an early seating or a late seating. But on the website for the date we want, it shows the hours as "Dinner 5:00 - 6:30."

Is the late seating a thing of the past?

When I called to make my reservation last week, I was told our options were 5:15, 5:30, 5:45 or 8:30. It seems to me they still do some kind of early/late seating.

Good to know. On the website, the latest search time you can even select is 6. Maybe I have call to get the later one. Thanks!

I suspect you can only see the slots that are available - the later ones are probably already filled for the day you're looking at.

I have a question about how the 180+10 rule works for the Chef's Table. For example, imagine that tomorrow is 180 days out from when I check in. I would go in to the website tomorrow at 6 AM EST and select the Chef's Table. I understand that I can try to book it for every day of my trip, but will the online system automatically check for availability on every day of my trip, or do I have to manually select each day of my trip until I find one that is available?

Also, is it 6 months or is it 180 days? For example, if my check in date is December 10th, is my ADR day June 10th (6 months) or June 13th (180 days)?

Thanks in advance! This is all hypothetical at this point because I don't have a trip booked yet (we're a Disneyland family), but I know we'll be going in the near future and the Chef's Table is a must-do for us.

It's 180 days, not six months. I believe (though I may well be mistaken), if you are doing it online, you have to search manually, and it will not let you search beyond 180 days from TODAY. If you are a Disney World Resort guest, you can start checking from 190 days (180+10) from the first day of your stay, but I think you have to do it through an agent to check the entire stay on day 1.

I thought the 180+10 refers to the 10 days after your check-in date rather than the 10 days before. So, guests staying at a resort hotel don't get to book ADRs 190 days out, but rather can book 180 days out from their check-in date and can make reservations for the next 10 days after that. Am I understanding that correctly?

Also, from the research I've done and from looking at the Disney World website, reservations for the Chef's Table can be booked online, but I've never actually done it before so I could definitely be wrong.

If you want the 180+10 advantage, you have to have an existing room reservation at WDW to tie your dining reservations with. Otherwise it is 180 days.

Okay, let's just say that I hypothetically do... I'm just trying to understand how the process works and understand how to have the best chance of getting the Chef's Table.
