Dax: Glad things sound a little better . I hate dealing with insurance co. – they make you go thru all this aggravation, and then they finally “let” you have the procedure, etc., when you were entitled all along!!!

Pakey:Have a fantastic trip, and safe travels! What a nice thing to do for your daughter in law and her family. I too have a lot of fun planning other people’s trips.

Dax - great idea about the car keys – I never would have thought to do that!!

Dizno: Tom Jones? Well – I have John Denver on my IPod!! When I read that you liked Tom Jones … I thought of Carlton Banks from the Fresh Prince of BelAir Show!! He LOVED Tom Jones!!!

Focus: Thanks for asking about my kids! My DS (Paul) is adjusting to his first year of college (lives at home), handling his course work, and his parttime job. (I think he is starting to appreciate us more). My DD, Samanatha is really liking middle school - guess I worry too much! However, getting up in the morning is still somewhat of a struggle.

OK, now I don't feel so bad that I have Backstreet Boys music on my ipod. I was old when they were popular so it's rather embarrassing. Tom Jones and John Denver (even worse) , however, take it to an entirely different level.

Dax I feel your pain regarding insurance. My first round with cancer, I had to pay about $16,000 out of pocket and that was after fighting to get the rest taken care of. I'm still dealing with it on this last round. They finally paid for my hospital stay but have not paid the OR bills, the surgeon, etc. from 4 months ago. My insurance company denies everything and then it's just routine to have to fight them on it.

So I have done my online check in and printed my boarding passes. Car fob will be hidden (thanks for that advice guys) so that Elvin stays safely parked in the garage.

I hope you all have a great Friday. I will be checking in via iphone while I'm gone to make sure everyone is okay. And I promise to take pics of the fall decor!!!

Hi Everyone!

I feel like it has been ages and ages... I have been so busy with school I've barely had time to log on. Most of the time when I get a free moment I use it to take a nap.

I really have to go back and read everything I've missed but Dax, I've noticed you could use an extra few . I will be praying for you and your husband!

I have a busy day ahead... I have to finish writing a paper, go help out with Homework Club at church, small group Bible Study and then home to study more! This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving so thankfully I have a bit of a break from classes and can catch up with everything. But I've still got work and a LOT of family functions so we'll see how I do.

Gosh, I'm sorry so many of you have trouble with health insurance. I don't know if we have better insurance companies here or what, but I don't think they're that bad here. I have had a hysterectomy & some foot surgery & never had any bills, copays or any problems. My parents have had many health problems & my dad has had many major surgeries & also everything covered. Thankfully.

Its Tuesday...I feel...ugh...drained still....I have HOS to look forward to in a few days, but I just cant get excited right now. Poor DH is not getting any better, but the tests have all been done. The tech was very pleased to have a MRI newbie...says it doesnt happen to her very often..LOL..

Now, we wait...I figure I will get into the Dr this week..hopefully Thursday..maybe Friday..IDK..DH thinks its all in his head and he has finally snapped..LOL..I can't sleep, my dreams are filled with horrors I dont care to repeat...

This has been a trying few weeks...I just want it all to be over..

So how is everyone else doing?

Got the kids costumes this weekend. What a relief that was. Had movie night SUnday with the kids (Scooby Doo on Zombie Island) getting ready for the 13 nights of Halloween on ABC Family.

So who watched DWTS last night? Jenifer Grey was incredible! Everyone else really sucked. Audrina was ok, but not that good and please for the love of Pete, never make me watch Carol Brady do a nasty dance again!!!

Lara: I’m a DWTS junkie too … yes Jennifer & Derek were awesome!! I liked Audrina and Tony but they were a little hampered by a non-traditional song, but ... Derek is a superb choreographer … love to watch him every week, he should win with Jennifer!

I agree on either the Situation or Bristol going home. I'm disappointed in Bristol ... she seems so blah, and really hasn't improved. I realize that the "Sit" (as Karina calls him) is not very good, but he has improved (for him) and he is trying very hard.

re costumes - we have to make my daughter's - she would be an adult size and usually the costumes are very "adult" themed!

Last year it was a hippie, this year???? Still undecided.

Dax: tell your DH, yes, if it's a deep sinus infection, it is all in his head!!! Hope you get some answers soon so you can both get some relief & you can get some good sleep.

Lara what did the kids get for costumes? I always mean to watch the 13 nights movies & then forget. Maybe I'll remember this year.

Janet I never watch Mondays DWTS but I usually see the end of the results show. They showed the clip of Florence Henderson doing that dance & DH & I were like & Especially paired up with such a young partner. Now that will give you nightmares!

Joan Hi! Is your daughter still at home? Is it hard getting used to having her home after being just you & DH being there?

I hope Pakey is having a relaxing fun time at WDW. I'm jealous even tho we were just there.

Morning Focus! DS10 will be Capt Jack and my DD14 will be a batgirl, not like a Batman kind of Batgirl but her costume is purple and black and she has bat wings. I got her striped tights to go under it because the skirt is right above her knees ad I am going to streak her hair with purple hairspray. We had dun Halloween shopping AGAIN. I just love this time of year. So how are ya? What's new?

Dax: Hope things have improved this week - been thinking about you!!

Focus: A puppy? My DD would be in heaven - she has routinely asked me, but since I have allergies I've been hesitant - what breed are you getting?

Lara: Your costumes sound terrific - only my DD goes out for Halloween (good thing since my DS is 19!!) Don't know what she's going to be -- she said something about a chef???? No idea why, maybe she was watching a cooking show with my DH at the time!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully I will get to the pumpkinfest we go to every year - at least the rain stopped but it is windy and colder.

Of course, I will be watching the playoffs, routing for the Yankees!

Hi Janet! I should clarify: it is my DD & DSIL who are getting the puppy. So it will be my "grandpuppy" . It will be an English Bulldog. And I expect we will see quite a bit of him.

Watching hockey, not a great game. But Tom Selleck's show is on later so we'll switch to that. I could look at Tom Selleck all night!

Morning all...

So here it is Saturday..I am at work.....but anyway..

DH went to the Dr...didnt find out what was causing the headaches..he needs to go to a neuro.

His tiredness though is a combination of things...low Vitamin D, low testosterone, and elevated liver counts. Due to the issues with his liver, they cannot treat the low testosterone..at least right now...so again...we wait...Dr gave him another 2 weeks off from work to boot...he will be burning into vacation time soon...what a mess..

Otherwise, I am OK...still tired, but OK.
