The Everything and Nothing Thread

Lara, sorry you were hit with another brick. All you can do is keep getting back up again. I hope things get better soon.

I have a reunion coming up in a few months, it would be the 36th but I think they are putting together something for 3 class years in a row. It's at the coast, a 3 hour drive from here. I'm not going because I'll be in WDW (darn) but I've never been to one anyway.

Well it's Monday, I still hate lobsters and I need a cup of caffeine.

Morning All!!

Well a good weekend is behind me...I REALLY needed it..

DH and I went to the movies, hung out, and just spent some well needed time together..I am beginning to accept my friend issues as well..and feel OK with the whole thing...

Time for another week of work...already looking for it to end..LOL..

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and is holding up OK on this rainy(for me at least) Monday..

Thanks everyone for the positive juju. I am really trying to stay positive but dang it's hard. Plus havig to keep the happy act up in front of the kids is even more difficult.

How much coffee is too much. Should I brew some more. I have now had 4 cups and I am still about to fall asleep.

4 cups??!! This would be me ::jumping1:

Hi Ev-No's! Guess what??? You won't believe this, but..... Gotcha, I have no more bombshells to drop on you. :guilty:

It sounds like some of you could use a little pixiedust: Sorry I have none to give, just a cyber- Lara, I know things will get better for you, especially when you are able to start fresh in your new house. Although I'm sure it's hard to put on a happy face in front of your kids, it is probably good for you that you have to. It kind of forces you to keep your chin up and moving forward. Remember that you have lots of people rooting for you! :goodvibes Dax, I'm glad that you had a nice weekend and are finding a way to work through the friend issue. :goodvibes

Focus and Pakey, I'm with you on the reunion thing. I went to my 10th and that was enough for me! My DSis is just the opposite. I don't know how we came from the same parents. She has been to every one - 10th, 20th, 30th, heck I don't even know how often they have them! She's on the planning committees and absolutely loves the whole thing. :confused3

My weekend was b-o-r-i-n-g. :rolleyes1 DH went to our camp and I stayed home. It is just too hot for the outdoors right now. I cleaned my curio cabinet and all the crap, um, excuse me, I mean collectibles in it. ;) Then I started on my china cabinet. I got half-way through washing all the dishes and Windexing the glass shelves. I figure I should do that at least once every few years! ;) So I guess my weekend goes under the "Nothing" category.

Hi to everyone else out there!

Happy Tuesday...Is it Friday yet?

Hope everyone is holding up OK... to those in need...I know I need them from time to time...

Honestly, another quiet day...not much goes on during the week, and I am staying indoors this weekend, seems FL is having a HUGE Star Wars convention this weekend, and they calling for 30,000 ppl...UMM..no thanks..some of the odd ones are already beginning to arrive...I saw a Jedi in the terminal yesterday..LOL I had to do a double take..

Take Care everyone!

Good morning my sweet nothings! Today is gonna be better, it's not Monday!!! Thanks everyone for the hugs and support. It's amazing how such a nice gesture can make someone feel so much better.:grouphug:

It's hot hot hot here. We have a tropical something in the gulf so they say we may start getting rain starting tomorrow. That is fine by me. It's not going to be anything serious and they don't look for muc development. It's been a quiet hurricane season so far.

DId I tell ya'll I am DONE with school shopping? I swear the heavens were singing for me when I finished Friday! This weekend they have tax free shopping but the stores are nuts. I am done with all supplies, clothes, shoes ad school lunches. This is such a relief.

Anyone have any great moving trips or tricks? I figured if I got a jump start on the little things now, come moving time it won't be so bad. I dread the kitchen. I have so much I wanna throw up. LOL

Everyone have a great day!:hippie:

Happy Tuesday all. I don't know how good it will be. I usually put the top down on my car while still in the garage but today I pulled out into the full sunlight. When I put the top down, I looked in the rearview mirror and saw my roots. OMG, I'm getting so gray. I get my hair colored every 5 weeks and tomorrow is the day but I think I'm going to have to go to every 4 weeks. I have a business luncheon today and all I'll be able to think about is "IS EVERYONE LOOKING AT MY ROOTS???" :scared1:

Maybe I should put a big spot on the front of my shirt so everyone stares at that and they don't look up. :confused3

Hello E&N's!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday morning!

The kids are taking swimming lessons every morning this week. That's about all that's going on around here. I might run to Old Navy and finish up the school shopping. Only need a few more things!

Glad you are doing better today Lara. :goodvibes

Our weekend was beautiful - sunny, warm, and right around 80. Too bad the heat & humidity are back now -- looks like it's going to be another hot one today. :faint:

Hello All! Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone has a great day.

Did anyone watch the Bachelor Pad last night?

Hello All! Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone has a great day.

Did anyone watch the Bachelor Pad last night?

Yes I watched. I believe it was one of the low points of my life. Can I redeem myself by stating that I played Angry Birds on my iphone through most of it?

Hello Everyone!
Went to the beach with just my sisters, and stayed until yesterday afternoon. Had a seafood dinner out Saturday night at a place with a gorgeous view overlooking Tillamook Bay - too bad there were low clouds and drizzle at the time. My dad used to take us crabbing when we were kids, but we'd go out in a boat and drop crab pots. He'd dump the catch in the bottom of the boat and we'd scramble around trying not to get pinched while we sorted through for the keepers. It was fun even though I don't like crab.

I didn't watch Bachelor Pad, but I did watch Dating in the Dark. I was glad that the guy who was obsessed whether the girls were fat didn't get chosen.

I went to my 10th, 20th and 30th reunions. I think I'm done. There was hardly anyone at the 30th - all the people who still lived locally decided to get together at a bar the night before instead.

Faith, I know you're inland, but are you getting any of the cooler weather the coast has? Portland was warmer than SF and LA yesterday, and we weren't even that warm! I tried coloring my hair for a little while, but gave up when I realized I'd have to touch up my roots every three weeks.

Sandee, we got our Magical Express mailing on Saturday! Woo hoo!

Yes, I am ashamed to say that I watched Bachelor Pad last night. Didn't want to but just couldn't stand the thought of missing that train wreck. :guilty::confused3:rotfl:

Pakey, I always look forward to reading your posts! :rotfl2: I say ditch the day job and go on a stand-up tour. You'd be awesome! :thumbsup2

Well, I had to go look up Tillamook Bay on mapquest. Now I can add it to my list of things I've learned on the EV-NO thread! (I'm kind of a geography buff) I love maps and seeing where different places are. Maybe I should have said 'geography nerd'! Sounds like a nice weekend with your sisters, in spite of the gloomy weather. Right now I would luuvvv me some clouds and drizzle. If you've been reading the CB the last couple of days, we southerners are wimps when it comes to the heat. ;) I love your story about crabbing with your dad! :goodvibes

Add Dating in the Dark to the list of things I've learned here, too. :sad2: Sad to say, I missed that one! I actually DVR'd the Bachelor Pad to watch later, but maybe I'll skip that one, too! I was watching Nancy Grace (almost as much of a train wreck as the Bachelor LOL) I think she and Jane Velez Mitchell have a contest to see who can speak over their guests the loudest. So I hear that Fantasia is being sued by the wife of her new boyfriend. Real class act, that one. :sad2: I guess since she got his name tattooed on her chest, that kind of gives her dibs on him.

Congrats on getting you ME package! :yay:

Hi Shelly! How are the swimming lessons going? Is it group or private? I bet the boys are going to love swimming at Disney even more now! I'll have to look at pics of the BW pool; I'm sure I've seen some along the way but I don't remember what it looks like. I think that's the one with the clown slide, right?

So was the Bachelor Pad worth keeping up with? I DVR'd it but I have a bad habit of never going back to watch things I record. I did the same thing with the Bachelorette this season. Now my dancing shows I always go back and watch!

There's not much going on around here. I guess I'll be helping my DS move to his new apt. in a few days. I'm just crossing my fingers that he doesn't unload a bunch of stuff here that won't fit in his new place!

It's way hot here, too. I just checked the TV and it's 93, feels like 102. Don't you love how we always throw in that "feels like" when talking about the heat or cold?

Hi Teri! I had to laugh when I read this! Right now our living room is full of my daughter's stuff as she's between places while away for the summer. It was ok for a couple months but now we're beginning to hear hints she may stay up in the San Juans for another year or so! We'll be asking her just what she plans to do with all of it when we visit her this weekend. Meanwhile, my younger daughter's transfering to a university nearby and moving home in September. Just call us Mom & Dad Moving and Storage!

They are doing private lessons this time. They didn't seem to be getting very far with the group lessons in the past, so I decided to try the private ones. They are not cheap, but after just 2 days I can see they are worth it! DS11 is swimming like a fish and DS8 is really starting to get over his fears and even swam the width of the pool on his own today.

Yep -- The BW pool is the one with the clown slide. The one that apparently half the people on the DIS are afraid of. I can't wait to go down that thing!! Neither can DS11. And I am hoping that DS8 will give it a try! :wizard:

Bachelor Pad is worth keeping up with if you have nothing better to do/watch. :rotfl: That's about it!

Good luck with your DS's move. :goodvibes
