Epcot/DS/DHS Wednesday 6/8 continued

Next up, we will make our way to a big ball:

Then it will be time for a break. While the others are breaks, I might head to DS early for some shopping. But they'll soon join me for some dinner:

and maybe a cupcake at Sprinkles and/or some sweet treats at Ghiradelli.

Then we'll make a quick exit over to DHS to stake out a spot for this beauty:


That should be a great end to a great day! So then it's back to SSR for more beauty rest!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I have been going back and forth for a long time about taking her. She would go through spells where she wouldn't eat so I'd think it's time and then she'd bounce back. And even though it seems like such an odd time to finally take care of it, I think you are right that's it was for the best to do it before we left.

As for the wine, I actually do plan to pack a bottle or two, since we are driving!

Oops! Forgot you're driving, duh! Old brain here lol. Good idea to pack wine because it's expensive there! I did buy some in January for my mom and my friend who helped out with the boys since we left them home, it wasn't too ridiculously priced and they both said it was good. The brand is "Once Upon a Vine" which I thought was exclusive to Disney but have since found out isn't Anyway if you find yourself in need of purchasing some there, I guess as far as wines go it's ok!

I hope both boys (and you) are doing better dealing with the passing of your kitty. Do you have any more or was she your only one?

Also just in case I don't get back on here before you leave (which I probably will but if I don't write this now, I won't) have a WONDERFUL, MAGICAL trip I'll be eagerly awaiting your report when you return

Thanks for the info on the wine! I'm sure I'll be drinking several specialty drinks so I may or may not need the wine but figured it wouldn't hurt to have it. I'm going with my folks though, and they are not big drinkers (though Dad does like to have a beer in the evenings) so hopefully they won't think I'm too much of a lush! Lol.

The boys are much better and I am too. Honestly just too busy to wallow, ya know? We had just the one cat, who'd been with me for about 15 years. We do have 3 dogs, though.

Ok people, I saved all the photos for today's this time next week but I'm so tired, I'm going to wait till tomorrow first thing to post that one and Friday's. We are headed out around 4:30 tomorrow so I should have some time. I still need to finish some last minute packing but I think that's about it. I got my Disney mani-pedi today:


We got most of our grocery order done but had to go with garden grocer, as opposed to Orlando grocery express bc we waited too late and there were no delivery slots left! I'm still ordering from Amazon Prime Now but you can only order a day in advance with them.

My parents got the suburban and now it's just bedtime, then go time. I'll be posting about the trip on Facebook, as we go, so if you prefer real time updates as opposed to waiting for the TR, message me so we can become FB friends!

So right before I went to sleep last night, I saw that Disney changed our 2 rope drop MK days to an 8am opening. I just don't know if it's logistically possible to make 8am but I want to see the welcome show! Ugh. I hate last minute changes!

Yep, saw the MK time changes, and of course all the rain/possible tropical depression in our forecast. We're just getting curveballs left and right! I hope you have a wonderful vacation and look forward to seeing you, probably Thursday evening at Chef Mickey's!!

Same to you! Yes I'm coming to terms with the 8am opening. It wasn't like I didn't know it was a possibility but might goodness, could they have waited any later???

This Time Next Week - MK Thursday 6/9

So I'm getting a little sad that my "this time next week" posts are almost over....only because it makes me think how fast our trip will go!

Anyway, so Disney did indeed throw a curveball with the 8am openings. And I'm still annoyed but I'm not as stunned anymore. And I've started making adjustments. I canceled AJ's Pirate's League appt on Sunday so we can have a longer midday break. If we plan to do rope drop at 8 and Wishes at 10, we need some rest time.

Also, I'm still hoping that I can change our Thursday Chef Mickey's dinner to 30 minutes or so later so we'll have more break time that day. And I'm on the hunt for an 11am at BOG so we can head to our break a little earlier than planned. We'll see how things pan out. Should've known that our plans weren't nearly as final as I thought the other day. I'm laughing at the gullible me of a week ago!

Well let me to get to my last two planned posts of my PTR!

We have plans to spend the morning in Tomorrowland and I'll post my photos that way but if we get into MK an hour earlier than my plans start, we'll probably head to Fantasyland to grab a few rides first.

MK Thursday 6/9 continued

After our break, we'll head to the Contemporary for our dinner ADR here:

before heading back over to the MK.

We might grab this:

We'll be doing rider swap, so while Mom, Dad, and AJ take the first ride, Will and I will jump on this:

Then it will be my turn for Splash and I'm sure I'll be joined by AJ and maybe Dad, while Will plays at the little play area with Mom watching.

By then it might be time to stake out a spot for this beauty:

Afterward, we'll head to Adventureland for:


Then back to Frontierland for one last ride on this:

where we might catch a glimpse of Wishes, high in the sky!

That will probably do it for our last MK day. Back to SSR for some snooze time before our last full day at WDW....

Thank you! Yes, I think we are definitely going to try for it. There done logistics involved bc Dad won't come that early so mom and I will have to wrangle the boys and a double stroller and all our stuff so we need to decide if we are still taking the bus or driving.

We are in FL!! Lake City to be exact. Left about an hour later than planned, barely got our stuff to fit in the car, boys slept during a lot of the drive after dinner but were wired as all get out once we reached hotel at 11:30, finally settled at 1 and I discovered Will is a bed hog! But we are in FL. Just another 2.5 hours to Disney!

Gonna get dressed and get some free, hot breakfast before taking off again.

Oh and sorry I missed the last "this time next week." It will just have to be a mystery to you all...haha.

We leave tomorrow! Weather has been really rainy here, but it's supposed to be clear tomorrow. Things should stay ok through Texas and Louisiana, but it looks like storms in Mississippi and Alabama, and then again on Monday for Florida. Woohoo!

Here now and we are having a great time but I have to divulge that I am very frustrated with my parents. They just aren't concerned with plans or getting anywhere on time. I don't mind when we have to slow down and take it easier because of their ages, but the lack of concern for time management irks me.

In any case, I'll be posting more about it in my TR, I'm sure, but I just needed to vent a little.

From your FB posts and pictures it does look like you're having a great time Sorry about your parents though. I could tell you stories about when we took my MIL (which I'm sure would be worse than what you're going through, simply b/c it's your parents vs. my MIL lol ) but you do know that other than us Dis-crazy folk, other people aren't so much aware of the importance that time management at Disney is. Maybe your last few days will be a little better? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and I'll also be keeping my eye out for that TR

We missed you today! We were in Tomorrowland from about 9:30-10:30, but didn't see you. We're back at the resort now. We were worn out and decided to make it an early night since we've got 3 more MK days next week. I imagine you guys are currently waiting for the MSEP. Hope you had a great day!

Ugh, you worked so hard on your plans it's got to be super frustrating to see them being disregarded. Hopefully today went a little better? I'm glad you're able to have fun regardless and even more glad that you get to come back next year so you can catch anything you might have missed this time! Now what I really want to know is this...did you ever see the MK a Welcome Show?? Or do I have to wait for the trip report for that answer?

Oh no!!!! Well you know what? The best laid plans and all............AND, just because we don't do everything on our list certainly doesn't mean our trips can't be awesome Putting it on next years' to do list (along with characterpalooza lol) just gives you more to look forward to. And about your DH saying he hates people! Steve comes off as very much a people person and does love to entertain people he likes. That being said he detests crowds and has so very little patience when he feels it's crowded in Disney, which basically means a 4 on easywdw's 1-10 scale! I've just learned to tune out his complaining and eventually he stops, kind of like our children.....................
