THE DVC Grocery list pdf

Anybody ever use it? How does it compare the other company's that deliver food.

Check out wegoshop.com it is less expensive and you can chose exactly what you want.

The PDFs just list items which are stocked in the resort stores. If you are purchasing a handful of items and want them delivered, you can fax that PDF and payment info, and they will deliver to your room. Otherwise you can just go shopping yourself when you arrive.

If you want a greater variety use one of the outside shopping services.

I just used garden grocer the other night and it was very easy. They charge $12 to deliver. I didn't find the food prices too bad, but I live in metro NY where everything is overpriced, so I may not have a good reference point! But it was very easy to use and they had a nice selection of foods to choose from.

As a pp mentioned the DVC link is just for the resort stores, and their selection is very limited, which is okay for some.

I have used Garden Grocer & although their prices are higher than at home it beats the heck out of buying stuff on site! Disney will charge more for a teeny 3 oz. pkg of cream cheese than GG's price for a full size pkg.

We have used delivery services with mixed results. We now rent a car for the day and do our own shopping. Between the delivery fee and inflated prices, the car rental is the same price if not cheaper.

You also get to shop when you want, where you want, and you are guaranteed that the order will be correct.

We almost never use Disney's service. Too expensive.

With regards to offsite services, depending on where you are staying it may be cheaper to take a taxi off property to the nearest grocery store. I'm not sure the cost of one, but it is probably less than the $12 fee with the higher priced food. There are many near AKV and a few near SSR. We always have a rental car for at least the early part of the stay and pick up stuff on the way in the first day. Of course we are coming from Japan and always land late in the day. No sence wasting money on going to the park that day. East coasters may have a different perspective.

I have seen some people bringing rolling suitcases into the stores; maybe walking from a resort? I have also seen others put an empty in the car on the food runs to help bring anything back to the room.

There is one other thing to consider with going yourself...is it worth your vacation time? If I can save about $30/hour I will go on a food run. (And yes...I have gone instead of paying to the resort)
