528 to 95, correct?

Is there anything to see and do on 528 or just off of 95? Unique tourist attractions (dare I say traps)? Historical sites? A good local (no chains!!) restaurant?

It's pretty much a long stretch flat Florida nothingness. There are not even very many gas stations/restroom spots. Potty and eat before you start driving.

The good news is that it is not a long drive, and Vero is worth it!

MCO to VB takes about 1:30 mins but it can be done in much less time if you like to drive fast like me! :goodvibes

How much over the speed limit can you get away with??

I usually do about 5 over... I have seen police out on 95 every once in a while..

Another option, if you don't mind the longer drive is the A1A... We did that route a few years ago for something different... It added another 30-45 mins on to the drive, but it was nice driving through all of the towns along the cost and even seeing the ocean every now and then...

I second the 1 1/2 hours from MCO. I don't really speed much, I go about 8 miles over the limit and have made it to Vero in 1 hr. and 15 minutes. Light traffic that day.

I've seen people post 2 hours, those people must be driving mopeds to VB.:moped:

A1A is a great idea. Thanks.

We prefer to travel over to Route 1 (not A1A) and take it down the ocean coast. It takes a little longer, but it is a more scenic route, less hassle, and just a more relaxed trek. This route will take 2 hours.
