Our group was me, my 14-year old daughter, my sister and her 2 kids. I made most of the arrangements. My sister and her kids came down to my place on Thanksgiving, to leave the next day. We flew down on Nov. 27th, from Hagerstown MD using Allegiant Airlines, and stayed one night at the Dolphin, using my Starwood points.
The plane tickets were $59 each way! And we loved Allegiant. This was my 2nd stay at the Dolphin, but we arrived very late-around midnight-and it was just a place to crash for the night. We'd rented a car from Thrifty.
Next day, 11/28, I went alone to Port Orleans Riverside, and checked in. Got our tickets and returned to the Dolphin, and we drove over to the Animal Kingdom. This was a rather chilly day, but we didn't care! Rode Expedition Everest twice, saw the Festival of the Lion King, the Safari, rode Dinosaur!, took the Pangani trail, rode Kali River Rapids. We didn't get to see It's Tough to be a Bug, because my nephew was starting to feel a bit ill. He's only 5, and I believe a bit overwhelmed.
My sister took him and they went back to POR while I took my neice. She and I and my daughter got to see the Finding Nemo show, and watched the Jingle Jungle parade.
Then it was time to get to the Grand Floridian for our dinner with Cinderella and her family. Very enjoyable! My nephew was still feeling a bit out of sorts, he seemed to take the stepmother a bit seriously and was scared of her! Heck, I was too.
I'll post more later, I have to take a break!!
