Ugh!! Sorry to hear you're having a rough one Betty. :( Did the job just turn out to be tougher than she thought, or is she having trouble focusing? Cam has an incredible talent. He can EASILY turn a 45 min. homework job into a 9 hour (yes, NINE) project. He did it just last week infact. It was a minimum day... we arrived home at 12:10 in the afternoon. Between the hours of 12:30 and 9:00 PM, he managed to finish one math paper that was already HALF DONE when he started on it, and got about a quarter of the way through another math paper. Hello...excuse me son!?! These were basic/no new concept/review type math papers!! He didn't run around, he didn't leave the table, yet still magically spoofed off NINE HOURS!!!!

Okay I am bad... I am ignoring you all because I have my new Sony Clie (PDA) that I am playing iwth.

I am sorry that Betty & Kim had such rough times with their kids and home work.

Psst... Jodie, I know what's in your package too :)

Night night Michele sleep well.

Add me to the list of people with kids that can take a simple project and make it into a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ordeal. I remember working on a poster project with ds for eight hours one day.

It's SO frustrating!!! ARGH!!! Can't they see that if they'd just PAY ATTENTION (Kim's clenching her jar and gritting her teeth) for the period of time it takes to get the project done, they'd most likely get it done in half the time!? One night, he was up until 11:40 doing work that should've been done in class but he dinked around there all day too, so had to bring it all home. Soooo... essentially he sat from about 8:30 AM until 11:40 that night working on the work he should've gotten done in the 6 hours he was at school!!!! AUGH!!!! *Can you tell this is a sore spot in this house?* :teeth:

Put that new toy down Elaine! :teeth: Did you even read my post on the last page? I asked you a very important question. :teeth:

Oops! So did I! :( Good night Michele! Thanks for taking care of all those locks and security thingys...looks like we're going to have to do it another night though... seems there's not enough Ya Yas around tonight to really do the job right. :p

Kim its a very sore spot in this household too. I cannot tell you how many times I have said the same exact thing to Midi YaYa..... If you would just concentrate and get to it it wouldnt take this long and you would have been done in half the time. Sound familar?? LOL

Hmmmmm there is a chopper flying over the house again. This scares me as we have a minimum security jail not too far from us.

Well I had bad news today. I went to sync up my old Palm Pilot IIIxe and it didn't work  I tried everything and did the best I could but the syncing capabilities seemed to have died on me :( So with Luis' permission, I went out and bought a new one. It is a Sony Clié PEG-SJ30. It is NICE!!!!!! I can't survive without one of these now and this one was a good upgrade for me. It has more space and color too! It also has an excel reader so I can take excel sheets with my schedule with me to WDW :teeth: So that is my new toy.

Kim, I saw your questions and I forgot to answer one. I won't be buying any charms anytime soon with this purchase I just made. I am just glad I found those shirts for $3 each now! Oh and I doubt they make a speed skating charm :p

Karen, I hope all is safe with you :)

Night Michele! Thanks for the sneaty tool work! Betty...sorry you are having a tough one. Sorry you didn't make it to the cemetary. You know what? I bet your Mom would rather you have spent your time giving extra attention to your kids like you did....and she knows you have been thinking about her. {{hugs}} Yesterday was 16 years since my Dad died. I don't go to the cemetary anymore...it just depresses me too much. I enjoy remembering Mom and Dad in happier moments with a smile. I used to feel soooo guilty about not "honoring " them on special days with flowers on their stone. Mom was always so faithful about that. I don't feel guilty anymore. I honor them by living the way they taught me and being the best person I can be. I think of them both every day and I truly believe that they know that.
Ooookay....maybe the "carnage" can wait until tomorrow? Feel free to carry on without me and I will read about it in the morning. It has been an odd weekend emotionally for me. You would think this would get easier. Sigh....I will be better tomorrow. Night Ya Ya's...sweet dreams!!

Stopping in for a sanity check. We are finally done with the project. She has a learning disability and it just takes her longer than a normal child. She supposedly tested out of LD last year so this year she is on her own and couple that with first year of high school then you have a big headache. I do not feel that she is no longer learning disabled and the teachers were given a heads up at the beginning of the year. We got the report cards on Thursday and her grades were low. She even had an F in English. Now at midterm she was not doing great but after I had a conference, a couple of phone calls, not to mention emails that all were prompted by me, I would have liked a heads up about the F. Didn't get one. This project has been a work in progress for English for around 6 weeks. She had the all but one little lousey letter written and just had to put in the pictures with each essay. It is a 'Me Portfolio' about herself. She just messed around and then when I was editing the letter she just lost it. She knows that she doesn't write as well as others and sometimes it just becomes overwhelming. She is taking college prep English but I think it may have been a mistake and she should have taken general. Oh well, we must make it work.

Nothing has been easy with her. She is the one who has had surgery on foot in the middle of 5th grade and missed 10 weeks of school. She also broke right arm in the beginning of 6th grade and couldn't write for 6 weeks. Although she is a worker and a fighter, she just gives up at times. She has major meltdowns. Today was one of them.

It is my mom's birthday today and that of course made me a little edgey. DD is named after both grandma's so she does hold a special name. Just wish she didn't give up when she does. If another quarter comes with low grades again I am going to request another testing. I supposedly have a year from last testing to request another series of tests. Although she hates it, she may just need the help.

Well, Dh just came in with dinner because I was just too pissed to make dinner. He was gone to church when all of this meltdown happened. Tonight was last time that they had a meeting about that blasted retreat they did last weekend. Do you detect a little hostility. Anyway, he usually comes in and tells me how I should have handled it. Just didn't need his advice on the DD situation, would have liked his presence instead.

Gone to eat. Will probably come back.

Well all I am really too tired to reply to much but I hope that those who are feeling down will feel better tomorrow :) Off to my warm bed... good night :)

Goodnight Jodie. :) I hope tomorrow brings a little more :sunny: and a lot less stress for you. It seems several of our Ya Yas are having some bumpy times this weekend. :( My heart goes out to you all... *Kim runs around from Ya Ya to Ya Ya giving great big hugs* Sweet dreams to all that are headed to bed! :)

Hmmm... maybe I just missed her posts somewhere along the line since I was gone so much today too...but has Jennifer been here lately?

Night Night Elaine sleep well.

All is well here. Must have been an accident on the I or something. I hate it when the choppers fly over though it gives me the woogies.

Kim I dont think Jennifer has been on much today maybe just this morning.

Just got home a little bit ago from the IL's. Emily is having touble staying asleep. Keeps screaming that she wants to make pie.

Sorry to hear all my sad tired yaya sisters. {{{{hugs}}} to all of you.

I had a lovely day with the family. Good thing, because my family is such a mess. Jodie, the way you feel about your SIL is the way I feel about both my brother's wives.

We took some very nice family pics I'll try to share tomorrow.

WOW, I've gotten to see all my yaya friends now, except, Michele, Carol and Nancy I think. Oh, and Jeannie too. (SHe's SUCH a mystery!)

OOOoo, Elaine, I'll pm you my email...I'd love a pic from EPCOT!! and Kim, you HAVE to do it with her!!!

Carol...pm is on it's way! Another yaya "in the know". hehehehe!!!

Hi Jennifer! Just had to check on you...make sure you were still with us. :p How's that notebook working tonight?

WOOGIES! I love that!! LOL! Ooooh, I have to use that one somewhere!! hee hee! :p

'Night Elaine... have fun with that new toy tomorrow. :)

Jodie, I feel the same way about my Grandmother. My mother and aunt go out quite often, but I find it very difficult to do. I think of her often though, and really do feel her in my heart so very much, and I fully believe that she is aware of it.

Betty, Bless your heart AND DD's. :( It sounds like she's had some rough times. She's got a great teacher right there in her home to help her through it all though. :)

*An extra hug for Betty while she thinks of her Mom on her special day*

Yea, PIE  She doesn't even like pie!!!!

I had to tell her 3 times, it's the middle of the night....we never make pie now.

OMG! That's right! We haven't seen you either!!! Post one woman!!! :teeth:
