Morning. Just back from the bakers so there's beautiful fresh rolls for everyone this morning. They only had 3 chocolate croissants though so it's first come, first served with those!

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World.' Though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes:

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet. She asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are

Jodie - The Seven Wonders post was just absolutely wonderful!

Carol - dibs on the chocolate croissant, please!! And I can't wait to read any and all of your books!!

As to the rest of you - I leave for an evening and what do you do - wreak total chaos and destruction, that's what!! The landlord is going to terminate our lease if you guys don't behave!!

We Won!!! We Won!!! We Won!!! 20 to 6! In the cold - 29º-33º and snowy weather to boot! We advance to the next level! Bad news is that I was driving on the interstate on the way home and got in a blinding white-out snow squall and couldn't see (of course it was also around 9:30 pm, which didn't help!) I am ashamed to say that I totally freaked, starting whimpering and hyperventilating (I HATE to drive in the snow) and DD and her 18 yr. old BF had to talk me through the situation. You couldn't see the cars in front of you, where the road was, etc. and of course someone in a 4X4 pick-up decides he doesn't like the fact that I'm going 30 mph and proceeds to pass me - but gets right beside me and then hovers there for the next 7 minutes!! GRRRRRRR....... Finally an exit came up and I jumped off and switched off with DD's BF, who is excellent driving in all types of weather. Of course 2 minutes later it clears off! But I was so relieved to be released from the driver's seat! DD - who got her license in April kept telling me how much better she would have done.

I did do some shopping yesterday and got some lovely ornaments for my YaYa exchangee!!
