Allison has named it Teddy and is very worried about the winter coming and Teddy being able to get around. You live in the south and it doesn't snow as much as here. So can you take a yankee turtle?

Well I have been cuddling my kitties and enjoying this frozen morning here! The babies become extra cuddly when it gets cold out. I love hot chocolate (no schnapps for me though please) and cookies! THat is my kind of morning snack

Oh I forgot to ask if anyone saw John McCain on Saturday Night Live last night. He was hilarius. I really liked his Streisand skit. He was singing her songs (very poorly) and he said that since she has tried to so his job that he was doing hers. I about fell out of the bed laughing. NOTE: I love Barbra Steisand McCain's sense of humor/satire was great. Incidently, he did make a point about entertainers vs politicians. Can't say that I know enough about it to agree but it sure was funny.

I missed why Kim is doing traffic school. Did our Kinky Kim do something that she should be punished for? Not our Kim!!!! bfeller starts to think about it and is starting to smile OK, maybe our Kim might go a little too fast at times. Sorry you are stuck there all day. SLOW DOWN!!!!!!

Betty, dh and I watched John McCain on MSNBC this morning and he was a RIOT!!!! I think he missed his calling!!!

Just watched "our local guys" on MSNBC's news conference. You know how I have been saying I wish the press would shut up?!? Well our local police, killing em with kindness as we do here in the South, essentially told them IN YOUR FACE...UP YOUR #*@!....and NOW WE ARE PLAYING THIS THING OUR WAY!!! Woo HOO!!!! It was sweet!!!! They gave the press nothing , nada, sent em away hungry...and I love it!!! The guys on MSNBC is turning inside out!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! The South scores one!!!
Very disturbing....they keep harping on the safety of our schools!!!! AUGHHHH....WILL THEY EVER LEARN?!?! Each school superintendant will make an announcement later today about what will be done when the bell rings at schools in the morning. The police alluded to cancelling school....for how long??? Sorry guys!!! If you need me to vent via pm please just say so...it won't hurt my feelings.

I have mixed feellings about closing schools. I don't want one person or group to think that they have me scared 9don't want to give them that power over me) but then again if it is my kids I want them safe. Of course how can safety in any school be garenteed(sorry spelling). There are idiots everywhere!! and they don't care when they will strike. Then again, we must try to do something to secure the safety of the community. I don't have any answers. We can only be aware of what is going on around us and not take any unnecessary risks. (ie Halloween) I told you I have mixed feelings.

My back is feeling better, thank you Betty. I just didn't sleep on it right and I needed to "stretch it out" a little. Good thing though is that it did get warmer today because I did have to go out for a while. I tried to look for a few pairs of jeans but didn't find anything I liked. I hate shopping. I know I am an odd one but I truly hate shopping! So now I am sipping on some tomato soup in a cup and life is good

Kimmie, at the Bronner's store, they had the cutest frog ornament dressed in a Santa outfit. You don't know how close you came to getting it. The only reason you didn't is that I didn't have your address, and wasn't sure I could bribe Elaine to give it to me!

Speaking of frogs.... last night before leaving the IL's, I saw one of those little bitty frogs on their back door. Little, bitty, teeny, tiny thing, really. And it made me think of Kim. Sorry, didn't get to take a picture. He hopped off to quick.

Time to watch a bit more football and the end of the race.... Looks like the work database has been brought down for their regular Sun night update, so now I get to *write* programs to run tomorrow when the sun rises.
