Let's see, it's only 6 am in CA so I guess we can let Kim sleep a little while longer.

Whatcha' all doing today?

Last Thurday I tok Paige out to get new pants (poor girl is a kids size 6, at 8 1/2 years old, so it's hare to find 6's that are long enough ) So we are going to convert drawers and closets to winter clothes. Time to bring up boxes from the basement. then I MUST do this GS stuff!!!!

Now the big question......

hostess powder sugar donettes? or pilsbury cinnamon rolls for breakfast?

So much fun!! Our team lost the homecoming game. How about yours? Kids still ahd fun. Here's a weird little happening...I sent PAige with $15. Told her to buy her own ticket and food. she got some candy and popcorn and came home with $18!!!! She can't figure out how it happened, she said she gave the guy a $10 bill for a 50 cent popcorn and he handed her a bunch of money. Being eight she didn't know what to say (she thought he'd given her the wrong change, but wasn't sure, then she didn't want to point out he was wrong, got all flustered.......) I think I'm going to start going to football games if I can make money there! ;)

We'll just take the $5 we owe them over on monday and donate to the athletic boosters.

hey Jennifer, glad you are up and moving around. You didn't mention how you feel this morning? Is the pain diminishing at all I would like to have some cinnamon rolls.

As for homecoming, our team won the game. We are undefeated thus far. Allison was nominated for court but didn't make it. The rumor is that she missed it by 2 votes. She did go to the dance but not without some drama happening first. She and a boy decided that they would go to homecoming as friends and go dutch. This arrangement happened on Thursday but on Monday of homecoming week he decided not to go. She told me she was sad for around 5 minutes and then went on with life. Her biggest dilemma was deciding which group of friends to go with. She went with 10 girls and 5 boys. Only one couple in this crowd so they had a great time. They went to Buca de Beppo's for dinner. Allison has always been the drama queen so this seemed so uneventful in our house. I think we have become immune to her escapades.

I will try to learn about posting pictures sometime this week. I am trying to catch up on all the paperwork that I have on my desk today, do some laundry and pick up some of the areas in our house that people see when they walk in the door because the "brownies haven't been here to help out" and then we are going out to celebrate DH's birthday tonight. He will be out of town on his actual birthday.

I have never had my children come back with more $ than I sent them with. For the record, I am lucky if they come back with any change at all. You are so sweet to give the money back. Many people would just say Whatever!!!!! but if you go again and you make money, please let me know when their next game is. Football must be different in Michigan.

I have been thinking this morning about my conversation with Kim last night about angels and the thought struck me that since Elaine is an angel and I am an angel with horns that we should find out what kind of angel Jennifer is. Since we love to have fun with Kim we should ban together maybe as "Dan's Angels" and fight the battle against Apollo. Dan would be like "Charlie" and call us on the phone when he needs us. I know he has Elaines number. So what do you think? Which angel do you all want to be?

Good Morning Everybody! Hope those of you with and without muscle relaxers slept well last night!! Sorry I left you guys last night but once in awhile I do need to pay some attention to my DH!! We watched this FREAKY movie on pay-per-view called "Mothman"

I checked out the "ignore" thread last night and had MUCH to say but it was too late...besides, you guys have said it all too well! What would I do without you guys? As I think it was Elaine said, I view you guys as true friends...not just folks to chat with when I happen to be bored and need a diversion! I think the poor poster really had no clue and learned a great deal fom that thread!

On to pick up dd from her sleepover and for the rest of the day put up with....GASP....the "post-sleepover mood"!! UGH!!!
Then I have GOT to plan for this campout....procrastinated to the last minute!!! WHY do I do that?!?!?

I LOVE the Angel's vs. Apolo idea!! But should we make it Willy's Angels since I have yet to see Dan wander over here (and since Willy is our resident Mod that could shut us down at any time ....maybe if we give him a title....)

Not sure which angel I should be.....have to think on that one. Never thought of myself as much of an angel

Oh....are team has yet to win a game Comes from having barely enough players....there are some draw backs to being in a small town.

Having Willy J as "Charlie" is a good idea. The Mod strategy is brilliant! Wonder if he is up to the challenge. Now who should be Bosely? I was thinking Dream is so organized and with her GS experience may be able to handle us.

As for your pain, just keep us updated. I am sure that DH appreciates your updates but do men ever really listen. Remember he doesn't believe. Anyway, I have felt your pain.

Oh poor Dream. She has to cope with the day after effects of a sleep over. We started a rule around three years ago that all sleepovers had to be on Friday. Allison, my little angel, would spend all day Sunday sleeping and then couldn't get to sleep Sunday night and then was such a grouch to get up on Monday morning. Then there was the homework issue. Your next issue will be trying to get a teen off the phone at 2 in the morning. Oh for the good old days.

Wow, chatty little group we seem to be this morning My Sunday mornings are usually a tad bit busy so I finally found a moment to sit down with you all again and chat!

I must laugh at the Angel idea because I think we once came up with that one before and loved it I guess it is time to bring it up again Although I must say I do prefer being an Angel over a power puff girl... oh wait, I'll let Kim explain that one for us It doesn't matter to me if we are "Dan's Angels" or "Willy's Angels" I do believe both have my phone number so they both have access to calling my cell in the wee hours of the morning when we are needed!

Y'all seem to put me to shame with my boring boring life. I could tell many cat stories but they get old after a while! I'll just live vicariously through all of your kids stories as I am loving them Jennifer I am just sorry to hear that your shoulder is still bugging you

How about a compromise about whose angels we are. Since there are two versions of Charlie's Angels, one is the television show(for those of us who watched it the first time around) and the movie. Now if you remember the television version, it had many angels, even sisters. There is room for all of us: Dream, jldriscoll, helenabear, myself and others to be named later to be angels. (Sorry Kim, you are no angel. Angels and Apollo just don't mix)

Oops, I just realized that Kim isn't up yet and I am picking on her unfairly. What a bad angel I am. Wait a minute, I have little red horns so I guess I can pick on her anyway.

Hey Kim, can you explain the Power Puff Girl thing? I guess I am naive when it comes to your history.

Elaine, so who were the orginal angels when this subject came up on the boards before. I can live vicariously through you when it comes to the boards

Actually I think that Kim and I were two of the original Angels. I can't remember who the third was but Dan did turn out to be a power puff girl too

I just love it that this has come full circle on the boards again. It really must mean something if I am brought up to be an Angel again since two different groups had the idea. I kind of like that. I say we go with the television version if it means all of us get a part too (even Kimmie if she ever could begin to behave )

I guess Kim is sleeping in and I am heading out to lunch now so I can't go looking for old threads to share the silliness from before.

Yep, Elaine is right. The whole Angels idea came up one other time, but if I RECALL, it wasn't to join forces against me and my guy! I was supposed to BE one of the angels, but now Betty tells me angels and Apolo don't mix!?!?! Waaaah! Hey! Wait! Hmmmm... uh... heh heh heh! Actually I think I kind've like that theory.

I believe the PowerPuff idea came from Jay, if I recall. It started out as a Charlie's Angels idea and evolved into PowerPuffs. Hmmm... I'll have to see if I can find that thread for you Betty. Jay will just love me for that one I'm sure. Right Jay?

Well, it looks like we're losing both Jennifer and Jodie to scouting stuff today. Drats.

Can I believe what I read. Kama has more butt or Kama kicks more butt. bfeller falls off chair. bfeller is now rolling on floor. bfeller is back in chair. Don't know if any of us girls need more butt. But Kim is the California Girl. They look different out there on the coast.

The thread is great. I can't decide if I feel bad because I didn't have an original idea about Charlie's Angels or if I feel great because great minds think alike. It is obvious though that Elaine and Kim are the originals. Kim could be Sabrina Duncan because she eventually left the show(couldn't resist ribbing her a little). I guess Jennifer, Jodie and I are the replacements. Lets see there was Cheryl Ladd, the Charlie perfume girl, and a brunette. I don't remember any of their names except that Cheryl Ladd's character was Jill Monroe's sister.

I really got lost talking about Power Puff girls. My kids are too old for me to know who or what they are. However, I do remember Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Chris and Power Rangers with Allison.

Oops, just got the "come pick me up call from Allison" so got to run.

Well I had a very lazy day. I went out to lunch with Luis and we wandered around a while in search of a cell phone I want (no luck though). I am not in a rush to get it but I would love it as it has a speaker phone built into it as well! It looks like such a nice phone! Then I wound up with a sinus head ache so I was laying down for a while this afternoon. Otherwise I've been such a bum!

Sounds like a great day Elaine. My day started out relaxing. Stayed home all day, ate those yummy cinnamon rolls. The girls went to play with the neighbor kids and I actually fell asleep for a bit on the couch while DH did some work on the couch next to me.

Then the phone call came....not really a big deal, but I guess my ego is a little bruised and feelings are hurt. It was my TSD (troop director for girl scouts). We've been trying to place this troop of girls that lost their leader over the summer. I volunteered to take them. Well in the course of things the TSD got a call from someone that wanted to start a new troop and would take them. Turns out that new person is my ASSISTANT LEADER!!!
She never said a word to me. I just don't know what to think. I have no clue why she would do this. Now I question whether I should even bother being a leader if I'm not doing it right. It'll pass, just feeling bad right now. Ignore me.

End this post on a positive note....I got all the kids drawers and closets cleaned out and winter clothes washed and put away!!! Don't have to think about that again until spring!!!

So do I get to be the sorry pathetic angel?
