lol i think our snow ball trip is turning out grate
Its Maleficent...and with DS's birthday party tommrow and leaving 7 days after that...the rest of the money we've got gets spent at the park...lol

This is too funny!
An update: Since I first started this thread we have bought APs, planned a one day quick trip on Jan 2 before we all go back to school, and are also planning a week long anniversary trip for DH and I in June. That snowball just keeps on rolling!![]()

I've discovered a new law of nature: No matter how casual of a trip to Disneyland you plan, it will snowball into a bigger and bigger trip.![]()
We started off with going to see my sister who lives about 60 or 90 min. from DL. Well, we may as well run over to DL for two days.
Well, even a short trip requires photos and my old camera is bigger than I wanted to drag around. So I just bought a new tiny Cannon (love it).
Then we thought maybe 3 days is better so we don't have to rush. And then we thought maybe we should just stay at a hotel in the area so we don't have to drive so far in rush hour traffic.
So, now I'm looking at hotel prices somewhere in the area. We have a car, we will get free DL parking with our tickets from AAA. So non walking distance is fine. No small kids who need a nap.
Has this happened to anyone else? - It must have!BTW, if anyone has a favorite hotel in the area I'd be interested. I wasn't paying much attention to this when I thought we were staying at my sisters.

We just push it off with oh well we are getting more time at our very favorite place in the world (work sucks) and hey we got an AP rate on the hotel room so that justifies it right!!!

But you know what? Even though it is a classic case of the Disney Snowball Effect, it actually looks like a really full, well thought out itinerary! You are getting Northern California and Southern California in, as well as a few really good character meals and several days in DL/DCA, you are staying at the GCH (which is my favorite), you are eating at some of the favorite DLR restaurants and you are dining with Shamu! What could be better? So next trip you can do Knotts and Universal and maybe squeeze in Six Flags and Catalina Island or something. And you never know - the TOTP MAY still have tickets available on the night you are there, so you MAY be able to have a last minute addition to your busy itinerary!![]()

OMG!!!!!! This is so funny....I soooooooo agree....it happens to us every time!!!![]()

No kiding...we live about 2 and half hours sometimes 3 hours from DL and we always say oh hey lets go next such and such a day for a day trip......LOL ya right!!!! Then we say oh maybe we should just stay at a hotel...lets find a cheap one near by so we can stay and then still stay on the low side of the budget.....LOL Ya right!!!!!! We always end up staying at one of the resort hotels either the DLH or GCH!!!!We just push it off with oh well we are getting more time at our very favorite place in the world (work sucks) and hey we got an AP rate on the hotel room so that justifies it right!!!

My Dh has a love hate relationship with me when it comes to Disney...yes we both LOVE DISNEY just as much as the other..............but he knows when ever he hears the words ok it's time for another quick trip in between our longer stays.........it's a cover up and will just slowly lead to the inevitable over night or 2 stay which he knows that means cha ching...........let the bank roll flow!!!!! I know he still loves me though!!!!!
I should mention as you can se by my ticker that a simple one day only trip down in Oct the 22nd to be exact, to celebrate our daughters B-day has now OF COURSE....become an overnight stay at you got it.....GCH!!!!! I know he loves me now!!!!!!....Hmm wait does this mean he loves the mouse more than I????? Oh my!!!!!!![]()
PS......It would really give me a Grand Disney Day....if I could be booed...anyone want to boo me????
So sad I have not been yet![]()

PS. Its getting harder to resists...

For I decided not to try to stuff shoes into my bag, so I went with what I was wearing. Now when I go down by car, I bring a shoe collection!
Seriously. I brought a second pair of jeans, of course socks, etc. and a top for each day of the week, and of course something to sleep in. So clothing and shoe wise, that was it.
I shocked myself, as to what little that I was bringing!
he he! Seriously. Oh, and I carried a light jacket, just in case. Now with the stinking hot weather in Anaheim, during my time there, who needed a jacket? Still though, it is always good to have it. I left it at the hotel, for I knew that I was not going to become cold, during any part of my stay.
Gisele..You had a snowcone effect.. where it got smaller and smaller..like a snowcone getting nibbled on.

We were going to stay at Hojo's for 4 nights. Then Dh wanted to stay at GCH for the 2 nights he'll be there. Then I decided it would be too much of a hassle to have to switch hotels after 2 nights so I added 2 nights to the GCH. (which I have yet to mention to DH
) Then I booked us on the Holiday Tour. So, that is my snowball story.
