"The Disneyland Diet"

I don't know if it was just me- the amazing thread killer- that happened to the thread, or if everyone migrated to the other board, or if everyone just isn't doing so great but I thought I'd go ahead and post, maybe I'll look up the other board if this one just gets buried again..Anyways. Actually got weighed at the doctors today and I'm 172 so still down 2 pounds, thats good...
Having some bad back pain related to work so really do need to lose weight. Daughter is doing great and although were all still sad-- life goes on. Our local farms have been open for awhile now but still don't have a lot of variety and no strawberries--gasp! We had a late and very odd snowfall late in the season for us-I'm going to try to get to the local farmers markets too though as they just started up. I refuse to go to Disneyland and be in pain..

Hi there!

I didn't weigh in this week since I was out of town, but thought I too would stop in and say hi!

I joined a gym and have been going almost everyday. I am loving it! I do weights, the treadmill, the elliptical machine, take dance classes, and swim!

Hopefully the results of all my hard work will be great when I weigh in on Saturday!

How is everyone else doing???
 
Since it has been a while since I last posted on this thread I'd like to give a quick recap of my DL diet. Currently I have been going to the gym; using the treadmil; bikes; eliptical etc...Now after only about 1 1/2 months I have slimmed down quite a bit; my T-shirt size has gone down one size and my pant size has gone down about 2. :cool1: :) :banana:

How's everyone else doing?
 
Well I joined the gym and have gone everyday for two weeks and when I weighed in on Saturday I gained 1.6 pounds, which stinks, but everyone says it's becasue I am building up muscle. I do feel good and things are fitting better so I am ok with the gain! Hopefully next week I will see a loss!
 

Well I just got on the scale. It seems I am--holding at 172 which is really frustrating because I have been exercising and eating about the same. I have noticed I havent been hungry at night before bed and not very hungry in the morning, it may be that- danger danger you're losing weight--must slow metabolism thing. In that case I guess I just have to stimulate it more I guess. I havent been drinking as much water as usual though, need to do that. If it is so good for you to lose weight-- then why is it so hard ???? You would think your body would just be delighted with the process....lol.
 
I lost three pounds for my upcoming trip, then this way I have "permission" to gain them back and pig out at DL :) :)

If i can shed some insight from my similar situation... i didn't believe my personal trainer when he told me that i needed to "shock" my body with a cheat meal. The body gets used to same input, same output and adjusts according to what it excpects.. so after a while, it's like- okay we know the drill and adjusts accordingly. but giving it once in a while a "cheat" day or meal, it kicks it out of that phase... you don't necessarily have to eat junk if you're afraid of falling into a bad cheat, some people will just eat extra of what they like, take a few rest days from exercise, and also even switch up the menu so you have a change in foods that your body gets...

I had my weigh in today and I lost 5.8!!! I am now at 54.8 pounds lost!! Whooooo hooooo! I joined a gym and it is really paying off!!!

We are going to Disneyland next year.

I have 10kgs (ummm I think that is 22lbs) to get to my first goal but my ultimate goal would be to loose 18kgs (40lbs)

I'm currently loking at what I eat and making notes. I've tried weightwatchers but I'm not disaplined enough - I've used it successfully in the past while breastfeeding and I think that was a real help as I got more food. I'm constantly hungry.

We are just getting into winter months now in New Zealand so salads and stuff aren't very nice. I've been making some yummy vege soups instead of creamy ones so hopefully it wall all help out.

Ummmm I do have a gym membership but I haven't been in months as I'm so embarrassed by the way I look :worried:

I need a good kick in the pants :yay:
 
Hi everyone,

This morning was my weigh in and I finally did it :banana:!!! I have lost 50.6 pounds! I lost 2 pounds this week to bring me to my 1st goal! I reached it 1 month early and am so happy!!!!

Now I am hoping to be down another 10 by Disneyland!!!

I am here hon, Sorry been missing in action! I had a fall off, then I went back on, doing well now and still loosing. in fact 3 more this week.
I have 47 I believe to go to have 95 pounds off.
I will do this before I leave in November!!! I have been walking each day 1 to 2 miles, it has helped so much!! also eating vegan, no meat and dairy. its been awsome .
Keep at it Sue !! my back is real bad, I have spinal stenosis, 2 fractured discs, and standing 10 minutes does me in. i figure with 95 pounds off, I can do a whole lot better in the parks! if anything I am looking better, if I have to still rent a scooter for my back then so be it.
 
Well, the weight loss reported here is truly amazing. I just thought I'd share that when I think about eating more these days...I stop and think about my next posting on this board. Lol.
 
Very exciting--I lost 4 pounds this week ! I had no idea but I think it was a difference in my routine. I found a pekingnese wandering the streets very late Thursday night and have been completely thrown off, posting signs around neighborhood, putting ads in and official reports to various animal agencies and having to walk doggie as we have no fenced in backyard. Well fortunately today his owner showed up this morning, she is in the process of a divorce and had left doggie at husband's as she is living in apartments. Well divorce is turning ugly and she thinks husband just turned doggie out. She has friends who will care for doggie until she can find a different place. This is so cool, I have a pair of overalls on today that have been tight, and my back is feeling much better. I'm at 168 this week :banana:
 
Im going in the end of October and my inspiration is my trip.
id like to get to 140 at least by next year.
Im 189 now. and for the trip i dont have a set amout id just like to lose what ever is right for 4 months. hopefully a pound or 2 a month.
i currently am dieting only health food. no sweets, no soda, you know just healthy eating like i should always have been.
But sometimes i get down and what always makes me feel better is to think of our trip and how hopefully i can go shoping for some new cloths by then!.
ill weight my self every week on mon or tue.

I keep thinking I desperately want a gym membership when in all reality, I probably wouldn't use it the way I should because I'm embarrassed by how I look too. For some reason, it's just not common to see fat girls at the gyms in my town, so I would look out of place... even though that's the whole point of going!!

I think you should suck it up and tune out everyone else at the gym and go anway. You'll feel so much better for it, especially when the pounds start coming off. :lmao: so do what I say and not what I do!




Hi everyone!!! It's been a long while since I last checked in. The GREAT news is that I'm still getting up early 3 days a week to do my Jillian videos. I've never ever before had a real routine. In the past I might make the plans, but never start or get up once, and never again. I'm just so proud of myself!!. The BAD news is I'm not doing well at all with the healthy eating. I ust bought a bag of cheetos because I haven't had them in so long (years)and I figure I'm fat anyway. :laughing: and I made brownies over the weekend. I think I may have put ON a pound or two. :worried: I don't know why I bought so much junk. I could have saved a lot of money at the grocery store. Oh well. I'm getting back on the wagon as soon as all the junk is gone... and yes, I'll try to give as much of it away as possible!!!

:lol: I did that last month, ate everything in site!! do not worry, get back on ( yes now!! ) start again and get moving. I started walking and man the weeight is coming off. I drive every where, and so there for no excercize. the walking about kills me, but I go to the park and walk. use the pedometer and walk a mile each day, some days 2. its doing wonderful for me.
now... back to you.. get moving, get motivated and ghet back on track... you deserve it, your important and you need to loose weight. you can do it!! you can do it !!

JUST GO! I am a very big girl and I joined the gym a few weeks ago! I go almost every day and do weight training and cardio and I lost almost 6 pounds last week! I don't care what anyone thinks about me. I go, put on my Zune and work my butt off!
