I would like to give the box to Me A Mom since princess April has never shown up or made any contact if that would be OK? We are set for the hand off with Parkers and I hope to get a custom Disney twirl skirt and design a shirt. If not the boys pull ups for sure and anything else I can find to put in.

But if you're already at Disney and they don't contact you before you leave... that's thier problem, I can't change it. There's only so much I can do when I only know your screen name on the disboards, and the resort won't help me out.

hey, just wanted to say thanks for the boxes of goodies to the two that have sent something down. I keep meaning to to send PM's, but I only manage to think of doing those things while I'm laying in bed at night and then totally forget once I finally get online. It's like my mind during the day is totally different from my mind at night.

Well the bag is off... I'm hoping moremickeyforme didn't have any problems passing it to evie.
I've got a few more things in the mail to add. I also bought a mini screw driver set, it's a double ended looking pen, for those awful toys with the mini screws in them to hold the batteries on.
Ohh and we also went to a DVC open house and they give you these really nice notepad holders, legal size. I'm definatly keeping one for myself, but I'll toss the other one in the bag.

Good Morning everyone.
We are back and had a great trip. Boy was it hot!!!
We took a washcloth with us everyday and soaked it in those ice buckets around the world all day to keep us cool!
I didn't have a problem handing the bag off to Evie. I met her at the hotel and handed off the bag. I really didn't use anything in it, because I am a packer and I was scared of not having something I needed, but we left 3 rolls of paper towels, 6 bottles of water, and about 30 little personal size items including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, individually wrapped hand wipes, floss, deodorant, etc...
This is a great idea and I am thankful to have been a part of it!

I will be getting the bag from MinnieVanMom on Sept 30th. I will be checking out on October 4th. I'm not sure who to hand it off to. I checked back through and saw only someone checking in on October 18th.

Sandra, I have a suggestion...Maybe you could post a sticky on page 1 with the updates of arrivals and their dates. That might make it easy for people as they are signing up.

Just a thought...Let me know who is next so I can PM.

There's no one yet for the 4th - 10th so I'll be picking the bag up from you and then on the 10th delivering it to sassmb at the boardwalk. And I think the first post is updated correctly... I'll go check now.

I will be picking the bag up from evie on the 3rd to deliver to macrosswife. I also have a few things that need to get added to the bag. Anytime there's something that needs to get added, I'll do the delivery. But I think after the first half dozen people, it should be pretty full. Although I might have to take away a few things to replenish for later.

Well there's a few things for girls, and a few things for boys. Just remember the light up toys take AA batteries or C's. So if you got a couple of extras that are good, you could leave them in the bag. I did put in a mini screw driver pen, double ended. PLEASE don't loose this as many toys have those stupid little screws to the battery cover.

I wish I had a picture of the suitcase, but I don't have a USB thing for memory cards. There's a couple things wrong with the suitcase. There's a rip next to the zipper on the front bottom pouch, and the rubber casing around the wheel broke. I did that dragging it up the steps to my apt and then I broke the rubbing casing on my smaller one at the airport the other day... oops. But it still rolls just fine. Unfortantly, it's about 10 years old and so there's nothing on any websites.
So far there's nothing wrong with the cooler, it's just a little dirty on the outside.

All of you that are doing this need to be very careful about meeting a stranger just to get a bag of "stuff". Just because there is a picture of someone does not mean that they are safe nor does it mean that they will not fill you with a sob story about how broke they are and try and pity you into giving money to them.

Never in a million years would I let a stranger meet me at my hotel room,give out hotel arrangements, dates, etc. There are many more wackos out there then any of us would like to know about. Just because they post on a Disney Board does not make them honest.

Well I have met two fellow disers already, and I actually got a hug from the daughter of one of them because she was extremely happy with the minnie spinner toy, her mom had to hide it in the bag before giving it back to me. Most of the transfers are from diser to diser. I'm only a "middleman" when a transfer is needed.

I might be broke, I might want a million dollars. But this isn't costing me anything. I'm not asking for any money. Yes some have sent me packages in the mail to add to the box, and they're now in the bag. I have nothing to hide about my life. So I suggest you leave.

I have met several people for swaps.
I meet in a centralized place: Hotel lobby, food court, park entrance, etc.
The only personal info these people have from me are my cell phone and a description of what I am wearing so we can find each other.

I have personally met Sandra with this swap (we met outside of Pop), it was a safe place. I didn't feel nervous about meeting her because it was a busy place in the middle of the day. When it came time for me to swap the bag, I met the next person in the Pop lobby. Again, I didn't feel nervous or uneasy. I think it is great advice to give people to be cautious, but I feel most interactions are done carefully.

Thank you for your concern, but if you had read the thread you would see that the majority of swappers are either handing off through luggage services or meeting the next person at the resort.

In my case the person before me is leaving the day prior to my arrival and has graciously offered to drive to my resort and leave it for me with luggage services. I am meeting the person I am handing off to in the resort lobby. Will this take a few minutes out of my day? Sure. Do I think it is worthwhile? Absolutely.

As to your reference to the OP - even though she is out of town (yes, I read the other thread) she took the time to PM to make sure that the transfers were already set up and to give me her contact information in case there was any problems.

I am sure that your concern for fellow DISsers is sincere, but the comments about the OP seem like a personal attack and really have no place in this thread.

It would be a shame if we let our suspicions prevent us from meeting fellow Disney fans but you can certainly take precautions to ensure your safety. Even though we may "know" each other's internet personalities, we really do not know each other.

I recommend that you exercise the same precautions that you would with any internet transaction...meet in a public place, do not share personal information, do not send money or high-value items to strangers.

I think that it's a very nice thing that Sandra is doing here and it will give many of the participants a chance to meet other members of the board. I would not want to discourage anyone who wants to participate from doing so.

For those following the end of this topic.... Just want to let you know there's a few changes to the user list. One user has pulled out, and two more have been added. There's only a couple weeks left for this year.

There's already been one request for next January. Any one know when you can start making reservations for 2010?

I know I really need to update the first post info... my mind is just blank at how to put it. I've also recently got something new to add to the bag, Birnbaum came out with a pocket guide. Really really handy, small tidbits about every ride and height requirements, plus a few extras like hidden mickeys. Plus there's a handy little pouch in the back for fastpasses.
