The Disney Grump & Family Take on the World-Our '09 Christmas w/ the Mouse, COMPLETE

That poor kiddo peed in a bag?! This is so bizarre but funny at the same time. I think taking your time in World Showcase, avoiding long lines and enjoying the storytellers is a wonderful way to spend the day! :goodvibes

Oh heavens!! I cannot believe that boy peed in a bag!! I guess it's better than the alternative--pee all over the floor of the monorail! YIKES!! :scared1: LOVE all of the storytellers--this is something I really look forward to seeing! And your PP pics are phenomenal!! You have such a sweet family!! :goodvibes

Oh my. The "pee pee incident" had me laughing out loud! I had to read Joe the story and he was laughing along with me and suggested that Mom should carry Tupperware instead....

The storytellers sound so interesting! I wish we had taken the time to do that - it was so hard to determine sometimes what to do...the "extra" stuff that the parks offered due to the season, or the normal things since it was all new to my in-laws. I guess we'll just have to go back. ;)

You made me laugh out loud again with your "Bad Mom, bad!" comment! :rotfl: What a place to have your first funnel cake though! YUM!

The little boy peeing in the bag was just so odd! Justin was trying so hard not to laugh, but it was pretty funny. You might put that Tupperware idea in the back of your mind for the near future, you never know when a potty trainee is going to have to go NOW!

I can see your dilemma with the Storytellers. It's hard when you've got newbies along and you really want them to see all that the parks have to offer normally. It would be tough to make the call to lose an entire afternoon of park tourning just to visit the Storytellers. It was easier for me since it was just us and we've got a few trips under our belts already.

Someone wants to say hello.......

Hi there Henry!! popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Great Photopass pictures! They turned out so nice!

Thanks!

Your photopass pictures are great! Every year we visit, I vow to utilize this more, but it seems like I get home, and I only had a few made at one or two locations.

I will do better in May.....!!!

I've always taken advantage of photopass. I love to have lots of pictures and hate to bother strangers to take one of all of us. Plus the Disney borders are just so cute!

This may be the last one I buy though, the cost of the CD is really becoming unreasonable. :sad2:

Hummmm, the mom, the boy, the bag.... yea, I would have been trying really hard not to laugh :rotfl2:
LOVE your photopass pictures! Aren't they so much fun to get? We enjoyed getting lots of pictures from them.
The storytellers are a nice way to get people into the countries, that is on my someday list for Disney!
Funnel cake... the first time our son had funnel cake with powered sugar he was so excited to dive right in that he took a big breath right before biting into it and inhaled the powered sugar! :rotfl: It's funny now thinking back on it but at the time he couldn't stop coughing! He's more careful now! ;)

Oh no! Poor kid, I bet that took some of the excitement away didn't it? It's good to able to look back on those things and laugh though isn't it, and he learned a valuable lesson!

This was the first trip that we really took some time in World Showcase. It really has alot to offer :thumbsup2

You'll love the storytellers! Make sure you arrive just a few minutes early (this year all the locations were marked with a scroll) that way your girls can sit right up front. 5 or 10 minutes seemed to be plenty early enough.

I was pretty pleased with how most of the PP pics turned out. I've got one in front of the castle all lit up and one in front of the WL tree that I'll post later that are my favorites :goodvibes

Your Photopass pictures turned out great!!!

Thanks Jackie!!

Oh what lovely photos!!! NICE !!! I hardly got any worth keeping! Ah well that is what I get. This summer I WILL take more photopass shots!!! MUST MUST. Even if it requires heavy bribery ;)

Great photos thanks for sharing!

Making our way down the list, we next went to China to see the Monkey King.

Although his story has nothing to do with our Christmas, he was a real favorite with the boys! He was jumpy, energetic & fun.

It was now time for dinner and our ADR at Teppan Edo. I’ve never been to a hibachi style restaurant so I was excited for this meal! We were seated with a family from Maryland, they had two kids too, but they were older than ours. They were a very nice family and we enjoyed our visit with them very much.

For dinner Justin & I both ordered the chicken & shrimp, Don had scallops and Jared got chicken. Our chef at work

IMG_1990.jpg

Justin, Don & I all enjoyed our dinner very much, but Jared just kinda picked at his. He ate all his chicken and some of the noodles, but he didn’t like all the vegetables mixed in. I think he ate everyone's rice though! He also had no problem eating the ice cream he ordered for dessert. Justin got ice cream too and I got the chocolate ginger cake, it was pretty good, not great, but good. Don skipped dessert again. :sad2:

I took this as we left the restaurant; I love Epcot at night – so pretty!

Next we went to Morocco to see the Storyteller there.

IMG_2005.jpg

Once he was finished with his story Mo Rockin’ started playing. Don & Justin wanted to stay and listen for a bit, so Jared and I walked around Morocco and took some pictures.

When we got back they were ready to leave. We stopped in America for a picture in front of the tree

Then went in to see the gingerbread house

I took a few more pictures on the way out of World Showcase

I wish this first one wouldn't have been so blurry - it could have been so cute!

Then we stopped for a couple of photopass shots

The fountain was dancing to the Christmas music and I just had to stop and watch for a while, I just think it’s so cool!

When we got back to the resort we found a new friend waiting for us in our room

I took his picture and then we all got ready for bed; we had an early morning meeting with some friends from the Hundred Acre Wood!

Oh what lovely photos!!! NICE !!! I hardly got any worth keeping! Ah well that is what I get. This summer I WILL take more photopass shots!!! MUST MUST. Even if it requires heavy bribery ;)

Great photos thanks for sharing!

I get all kinds of complaints about stopping for photopass pictures, but my family has learned that it's better to smile and get it over with - otherwise I pout, and that's no fun for anyone! What's the saying? If momma isn't happy then no one is happy... :lmao:

Love the photopass pictures!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Oh wow! That Monkey King is interesting to say the least!! :lmao: I am just loving the nighttime pics with all of the countries all lit up--sooo pretty!! And your PP pics are great!! :goodvibes

I think your nighttime pictures of Morocco are particularly lovely!

Hmmm. I don't remember a storyteller in Morocco back in '05. Perhaps I missed him (or it was added later.)

The dancing waters are mesmerizing... they must've been especially enjoyable with Christmas music!

Looking forward to hearing about your Pooh Bear breakfast! pooh:

Kathy

Your pictures turned out great! Love love love epcot at night  Can't wait to be there again!!!

If momma isn't happy then no one is happy... :lmao:

The first time I subbed in my husbands classroom, the told them if Mrs. Schafer doesn't come home happy, Mr. Schafer doesn't return to school happy :rotfl: I haven't had any problems in his classroom!

Your night time photo are very fun... I really enjoy the parks at night.
I am with you... keep the mom happy! :rotfl:
While in World Showcase we went on a mission of getting a PP picture at every country one night. We found a photographer in about 2/3 of the countries. It really is magical at night!

Connor would be all about the Monkey King storyteller!

You have some beautiful Morocco nighttime shots! It's my favorite pavilion, but I don't know as if I have ever been there at night.

The fountain is fun to watch! Another wonderful touch that they had Christmas music playing. :goodvibes

Wow, the night photos of Epcot are great! Really makes you feel like you're in the real place and not in a theme park.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Money King is a little scary-looking!

I'm glad you enjoyed Teppan Edo. Was your chef pretty entertaining? My kids thought ours was hilarious and enjoyed the meal very much because of him. :) I really love your family PP shot in front of the tree. I think that would have made a lovely Christmas card!

Cant wait to try Teppan Edo!!!!! We are going in December! Great pics--thanks for sharing.

I am so jealous of your PP pics by Spaceship Earth! We left Epcot before nightfall, the pics are just georgeous! I especially love the Minnie/Mickey in the background.

Can't wait for our next update :goodvibes

Whew....finally got caught up. I love it that you and Justin got some time to hang out one on one. The older they get the more you will appreciate that time I'm sure. I hate to admit this but we didn't get to see a single one of the storytellers.:sad2:We only had one day in Epcot and we spent it riding rides and eating.:rotfl2:

Love all the pics from FotLK!

Your room decorations are cool; good job!

That stinks that you got stuck on the TTA...and speaking of stinking, hopefully that little boy had good aim! :rolleyes1

The storytellers in Epcot sound awesome; we didn't take the time to do that!

Your photopass pictures are beautiful!
