Well... Dont worry. I will be i and out of that place a lot over the next few months. So you didnt miss much!

how are things with you all? Whats going on with DS?

hey I missed one night and it was 10 pages into a new thread.. who knows what I missed on the last one !

sooooooooooooooooo how are things dizzy girl?

We decided to try the medicine with DS...and it is actually working pretty good. We have seen no bad side effects, and he is actually a lot less aggressive. His speech actually seems better too!!! DH's parents were here on Monday/Tuesday and she commented that in three weeks (the last time she saw him) that he was talking a ton better :goodvibes :cool1:

AWESOME!! That is great! Did you get him into counseling?

Oh, and DH bought a puppy on Saturday :faint:

NO  . I called every one under the sun and no one will do anything at this point. I have another meeting with the school next week, so hopefully I can get some more info then.

Well poo. I hope the school can help you out more, Im sure they know what to do. :thumbsup2

 Oh my. My dh would be sleeping outside with it. :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, I am really not a pet person (let's be honest, I was not a kid person either...I liked to keep to myself and do my own thing ;) ). But anyways...we were driving back from Taylor (small town next to ours) and DH saw a bunch of kids holding Beagle puppies (they are his favorite), and the ******** took credit cards....and needless to say we now have a puppy :faint:

The only good news is DH really likes it, and claims that he will keep him from getting lonely at night time :faint:

wonderful!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Glad it works for him, I know for my sis meds have been not as err pleasant.:scared: He was talking a lot .. lots and lots and lots.. fixating on one idea and not letting it go. Which was the point of the med, to stop the fixation and needing to be perfect.

It's interesting how every child is different -- responding in varying ways from the expected to the unexpected.. good and bad.

I'm happy that it's for the good for you and your family.

I hope so, but I kind of doubt it....I have gotten a lot pushier with them though ;) ...at least I feel like we are finally getting somewhere :thumbsup2

Exactly, that was our concern too - there are so many possible negatives that can come from it, but fortunately we have not seen any of those. I love his Doctor though...he called me from his house on Sunday afternoon to find out how Alec was doing :goodvibes

I am NOT a pet person. I like kids well enough I guess. :rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao: No! I love kids, and I hate animals. I hope this helps your dh. I kow how much Frelan hates it when am not around.

Exactly, you are finally getting somewhere.. and yu have the ball rolling. :cool1: :cool1:

The other thing with DS, the more I read about things that are problems with him I realize I was the same way as a kid, and so was my Dad. Well, my dad decided to self medicate when he was in junior high and that has not worked out so well. I also decided self-medication was the way to go in high school...:rolleyes1 ....so hopefully Dr. supervised medication will have better results :thumbsup2  :rotfl2:

GOOD for you!:goodvibes

Yeah, unfortunately schools know (and do) less than they should.

Are the counselers you contacted saying no because you don't have a diagnosis??

It may take a bit of road trip to a developmental ped to get the ball rolling.

how cool! That is just incredible to have a DR. like that! Ours doesnt even remember who the kids are.

I was going to add for Alex, with the Safari card you don't have to worry too mcuh about reservations. Walk right up, flash the card and they will seat you quickly-- minimal wait. They guarentee reservations for members too. :goodvibes

I just got an email form them.. $10 off meal (min $25) or a free
voooooooooooooolllllllllllcaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnoooooooooo
GEESH, you guys chattered a lot in just a couple hours! :scared1:

Thanks, I was hoping that even when it's super busy (which I thought it was in Feb., but some people may scoff at that) we still got seated within MINUTES. Awesome! :thumbsup2

When Staley-o and I got the Safari cards, I asked the gal how soon we'd be getting the permanent ones in the mail, and she said something like 6 - 8 weeks. I was seriously hoping that first $10 off coupon would be in like 2 weeks! :rolleyes1
