stinkin even.. darn.. sounds like a rough night.
DS7 was too barky to send to school, so he was home all day, and they were just annoying each other continuously.

Then while I was on the computer during naptime (researching for a report for DS7; I find the information, then print and highlight portions I think he would be interested in. How on earth is a CHILD supposed to read this stuff???) DS7 shouts out around 3PM, "Mama, did you know DS3 is not napping? He's up and playing."

Fabulous. That means that he didn't nap at all, and by that time it was too late to try. So he was un-napped and just gets so wound up in the evening, it's insane!

She asked DH if he would consider going vegetarian, and he said, "Ummm... Mom that's great and I'm really happy for you, but no, not for me." Too bad, if it made such a huge difference for them, I wonder what it could do for his heart condition?

If done with the continued low fat diet.. it would be VERY VERY good! ::yes::

Hubby and I debated it, but for him it wouldn't be as easy. Watching the potassium and phosphorus intake and he needs what is termed "high quality protein" since he is chronically anemic. I find if we eat more chicken and rarely have beef (which is what I prefer) his levels drop and he needs a few rounds of Epogen to pump him back up again. Meanwhile he gets tired out until his hemoglobin rises.

I was thinking vegie for me and he still gets the occasional steak. Boys sticking with chicken.

Lovely! Thats why I like school so much. My kids dont irritate each other until at least 3:30.:lmao: I was looking at some of the summer stuff the City of Tacoma offers, and most of them are like $180 a week. I was hoping to send him to some of the camps they offer. But not at that price!

ahh, one of those days that you sit after they are in bed and sigh aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh much better.
;)

I still help N find articles, you're right.. it is hard for them to find just the right article and get what they need out of it.

Yeah, I spent quite a bit of time reviewing all that this evening, too. Plus called my mom and talked for about an hour. :)

I need to sign DS7 up for a summer baseball program tomorrow. I also want to get the boys back into swimming, I just think it's a good life skill to have. Ds7 took classes for about a year when he was 5yo, then quit because he had a poor teacher 3 sessions in a row. Before that he had instructors ranging from fun and good to strict and very good, then got this guy who didn't push him at all, he'd basically carry the kids around the pool when it was their turn. DS's skills regressed, and he got terribly bored, finally REFUSING to go anymore. So we stopped. We kept signing up for a different instructor, then this guy would wind up teaching the class. :headache:

Holy cow!

That's pricey. How about a nature center? Sometimes they have more funding and offer day camp at a reasonable cost.

I won't throw the idea of YMCA out there, likley to cost even more than the city.

With budget crunches, most schools don't offer summer classes unless the child is in danger of failing.. sad because I remember taking free classes in summer just for fun.

:scared1: poor dear..

Yeah... But at least we had someone to watch Mikalah when we wanted to go on the "scary" rides!:lmao: :lmao: She was okay to go on the carousel with the kids.. Good thing, because its Mikalahs favorite ride, and after about 10 times... I was getting ill. :lmao:

I think I am going to get the kids onto swimming at the Y. Alex is just so scared to do it.

Actually, the Y is only $100. a month, and all the classes are included. We just need to go DO IT. They have all kinds of classes, and I know they would love it.

Exactly! :rotfl:

I'm looking at Wikipedia and a few others sites for the subject matter, but of course everything is written at an adult reading level. I checked to see if there was some sort of children's encyclopedia or something, and haven't found such a thing. :confused3

A lot of the info is super-dry, too, I don't think he'd get through pages and pages of that. So I read and highlight the things I think are important for him to read.

ohh I was talking about the summer day camps.. those are pricey!

But yeah the classes are awesome if you have membership :goodvibes We were members a few years ago and the boys loved it.

Yeah, that's where we do a lot of our sports activities. I think their pricing is on par with other sports organizations, less than some. We pay a monthly membership fee, then pay extra for the sports sign-ups. I'm not sure if they all operate the same way, though.

Oh, I havent even looked into day camp. I dont know that I want him gone all day every day. Just something for the kids to do.. So we arent sitting around the house all day.. every day. I especially want Mikalah doing something. She is turning into a couch potato like me. :lmao:

The basic stuff is free, I know SOME of the stuff is extra, like karate, and gymnastics.. but i figure we will stat him out on the basics, and see what he is interested in. I would love them to get into soccer, but that is me being selfish.. I love soccer!:lmao:

We do soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter (and sometimes spring), this spring we're doing football, and will do baseball in the summer. I'm going to sign them up for swim classes, and also probably a gymnastics class at DS3's gym. The baseball is a weekday evening, and the gymnastics on weekdays (morning or afternoon), so if I can get the swim classes either one or two weekday mornings, that would be perfect.

DS3 is more energetic and better behaved in the mornings, so that will work out well to expend some energy and get him ready for naptime. :thumbsup2

As for Ds7, I just want him to keep active, they tend to bicker a lot when they're bored, so I'd love to have something scheduled a couple days a week at least, then still have plenty of time to do unscheduled things like going to the park or zoo or Science Center, whatever.

Man... this pill is making me itch like crazy!! not mention pee like crazy. :lmao: but on an odd note.. My feet look smaller.
