Still Need Park Reservations if Staying on Property?

Do I need to make park reservations if I'm staying at Disneyland Hotel? If so how and when do I do this?

If you have your tickets already you can do it now.

Open your hotel reservation and use the link that says Make theme park reservations. That takes you to a different bucket of reservations, which are for hotel guests only.

Yes, you'll need reservations. I usually make them as soon as possible.

They changed the system somewhat, now it is about a 3 week window around your reservation that you can make reservations if you do it thru your hotel reservation. So if maybe you are staying in a different hotel and moving to your disney hotel you will still have guaranteed reservations. You can make them same day. But you need to make them through your hotel reservation

You don't have to make your park reservation through your hotel reservation. It's just that, when the parks get busy, if the usual reservation "bucket" doesn't have any availability, hotel guests can use the bucket that Cruisehopeful mentioned to still get a reservation. (Then there are buckets for Magic Key holders, too, but I don't think those are relevant in the OP's case.)

I have a reservation for Oct 5, the hotel bucket goes from the Oct 2 to Oct 20. This is a change, a month ago it went for anyday. You do not have to only reserve the days you are at the hotel. I could reserve the 5th and the 20th. Bottom line if you are staying on property do not worry about making reservations
