Thats what i though. Even dh noticed, and he never notices ANYTHING!! I think the itching is from dry skin... Not sure though.

Hello Hyenas, I wasn't feeling well last night. I couldn't sleep and had the worst abdominal pain. It turns out I have a UTI!! I took some meds and am feeling a bit better but I think I will take a nap.

UTI's suck! I was getting them so often for a while there. My Dr. said that the antibiotics he was giving me probably weren't curing it up 100% that's why it would keep coming back. He finally gave me some super strong meds and that did the trick.

There are 3 kinds of people in life....those who can count and those that can't!

I think I am going to get the kids onto swimming at the Y. Alex is just so scared to do it.


Actually, the Y is only $100. a month, and all the classes are included. We just need to go DO IT. They have all kinds of classes, and I know they would love it.

I used to work at the YMCA! I worked in the office and I also helped out on field trips. That was fun. My BFF at the time was a teacher so we always had a blast taking the kids places. I also volunteered at the summer camps in Big Bear and on Catalina Island for many summers! I wish I could still do that but where I work now it's too hard to take a whole week off.

Hello Hyenas!

Well, Sunday I got sick and caught a miniflu. that is what I am calling it as it lasted about 12 hours. Strange. might have been food poisoning I thought except Jake started throwing up at midnight last night and has not stopped since. my mom went to work for a half day So I am here with him and Jeff will pick her up to bring her home.

She is doing great. Besides not being able to put any weight on it she is fine. She brought her little knee scooter which for those of you who dont know looks like this

And she brought her wheelchair. I think the real reason she went to work today is because she has a hair appt scheduled and it will be at least a month before she can get in again.

anyway, while she was at work I was supposed to go shopping but bringing a 5 year old little boy who throws up every minute and a half is not going to work so I guess I'll clean my house today.

Okay! It sounds like everyone vetoed that one! I STILL dont know what Im taking with me. I generally have a stroller to throw all of my crap in. Now what am I supposed to do?

Dang it, I missed this discussion (and am not looking for it) I always throw crap in the stroller and make DH stuff the rest in his pockets, but neither is going to work

Should we all push around empty strollers for our loot???

I'm getting a locker for my winter clothes I'll need about 4pm!!! I'll throw in a couple bottles of water too I guess. I dont want to keep going back to the locker but for the winter clothes it wont be too bad.

I think I'll take my bambi messenger bag I got last year. It doesnt get dirty easily and its kinda cute. A little larger than I wanted but that's alright I guess!

Alright peeps...once again I have good news and bad news...the bad news is I just got the bill from DH's hospital visit...$1100 (We do not have a hospital up here that is "in network", so everything is "out of network" . So freaking out I told him I should probably skip the trip and avoid any unnecessary expenditures...he told me NO WAY, don't worry about it...stash the bill on our very low interest credit card and not worry about it.

Mind you I used to be very credit concious, but then realized that a DH who gets nitpicked about spending every single dime is not a happy DH

Oh...I missed the rice krispie discussion from the other day (I had quoted it, but then DH called to let me know I was coming in to work 5 hours early (like I can argue right now))

Follow the recipe exact, but as you are melting the butter, add a box or bag (whichever you can find) of red hots (the little tiny round cinnamon candies). Stir until these are melted completely, and then follow the rest of the ingredients. These are super yummy
