We had plans to go to Huntington today, instead picked up DN in Lake Elsinore and swam in our pool at home.

I bought a bunch of sunblock.. my white glowingness must be protected! :scared1:

DN got in a car wreck last night, his friend hit an SUV.. no damage to the SUV of course.. the ford focus they were driving did not fair as well! CRUMPLED and the engine block was pushed out of place.

I think he got whiplash and he has bruises on one eyelid.

Those injuries combined with falling off of a wall during training (someone was boosting him up but did not support him well enough, he fell-- protecting his rifle with his body OUCH).... he looks like he was in a brawl :sad2:

oh, and he was goofing off at the bottom of the pool. He scraped his chin.

Boys!! What will we do with them?? Poor kid!

35W is the highway bridge that fell in Mpls in early fall.

It's a MAJOR connection into downtown Mpls, I read that rush hour on the first snowday was pure evil.. mind you the traffic is not as bad as California highways.. but it was enough to send everyone to a halt since they were down one major stretch of highway.

They are rebuilding it with giant cement footings. :thumbsup2

What's up guys? I watched The Bank Job today. It was so-so, very long movie. :faint: Went to the book store and then to the mall. It's soooo hot today, I can't stand it! It was 96 degrees and it's going to be in the 90's until Tuesday. :faint:

I went to Trader Joe's awhile ago and bought some groceries. I was stopped by a group of elderly folk. They asked if I could take a picture of them. They said they were on a scavanger hunt. :rotfl2: Sounds fun! :)

Just grabbed some chicken bowl and headed home. I'm so hungry and the only thing I had today was a strawberry julius from orange julius

I don't mind the 70's but 80's+ is too much! It was windy too and it just blew the hot air around and made it feel even worse. :crazy2:

OK, I'm takin' a little walk down Memory Lane. Come along, won't you? (As if you have a choice...) :rotfl:

J.P. Patches (and Gertrude) had a local morning children's TV show when I was in preschool through school age. He carried around a Raggedy Ann doll he called Esmerelda, and would peer through an empty television and tell kids (we were called Patches Pals), "Johnny, happy 5th birthday! Go look in the oven!" :rotfl:

In the afternoons there was a host for the cartoon shows shown after school. The host was Brakeman Bill:

I'm going to go watch a DVD with my bf. I hope you guys have a good evening. Talk to you later! :grouphug:

:scared1: :scared: Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Did you forget sunblock? :confused3
Ummm... OK! :rotfl:

Actually I gave it to DH so he'd put some on DS7 before they left for football. Ds3 and I (arguably the two pastiest members of the family) were going to apply it once we got there; however I couldnt' find DH's gym bag once we got to the field, and of course he's on the field with the kids, so I couldn't ask.

I figured, "OH, well, it's only an hour." Turns out DH didn't even bring it; he left it in the house so DS3 and I could use it before we left. :headache:
