Roly Poly was what I called them when I was kid growing up in Michigan. I don't know why it said that that is a southern thing.

I'm a 51% Dixie-ite. Middle of the road. And I usually drink soda while chasing roly poly bugs near the drinking fountain. In NJ I remember when I hear someone say "Youse want some pizza?" I told Neil we needed to move back home. And porch monkeys. That shocked the socks right off me.

I think my answers are tainted. I'm a CA girl who spent 5 years on the East Coast.

I had never heard of those bugs so I just guessed an answer on that one. I was sure they were going to ask a "jimmies" question, but that one never came up. I definitley would have lost some Dixie there.

Thursday night was our last home football game/last home band performance and it was Senior Night (and by senior night...I mean the graduating kind) anyway...I took video of it and the senior awards that happened too. Now if I can get Beano to make it into a link, then maybe he can post it!

Yes, the boys did have fun, but I heard they ate more candy than they threw out to the crowds. When they went by Colt was walking with Peter and I couldn't find Cam....as they passed I saw he had his head down in the big cooler full of candy.

Wow! I can't believe how Linden looks like Mini-Ryan!!! That same little face!! We need baby Ryan pics!

I thought I would update you all..since I don't have a ticker anymore..I made it to 40lbs!!

I tried on my dress for TZM's and Ophie's Wedding and it actually is too big...I had to hold my breath in June for Rick to zip it..yesterday, Kate zipped it right up and it was so loose it actually could "'twist" around on me!! I also fit into a Hula-Minnie dress that I got at the Disney Outlet Store back in 2005 for $9.99. I bought it for the cruise, but was unable to fit into it..I think I will be wearing it on the cruise next year!!

The last few pounds have dropped off because of stress..I don't recommend this as a diet tactic..not so good!
The good news is Rick is starting to feel better..so I will gain that 3 lbs back I am sure!

Here, they are sprinkles if they're on a donut but jimmies if they're on ice cream! Go figure! There's even an old ice cream parlor up the road called "Jimmy Cone"!

In WV we called 'em Potato Bugs but in MD they call 'em Roly Poly's and being that my hometown in West By God is called Lost Creek I know that the proper way to pronounce Creek is Creeeeeek not crick! (like am-bu-lance VS aaammmblance). Whatever...

Next subject - yes! Linden is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!! I know that was a beef cow of some sort in the pic (Angus?!), but will Ryan be in 4-H one day and show off her cows at your local dairy show?! I was in 4-H and was raised on my Grandfather's dairy farm...but I didn't show cows...my Mom was Queen of the Dairy Show back in her day...then she met my Dad and they literally eloped right out of her bedroom window! She had to give up her Dairy Queen crown!

CamColt - the parade looks like a nice tradition - looks like you had a nice day for it!

I had to finally turn our heat on this morning! It was 36 when I got up - and yes, we got frost! I didn't have time to assess the damage on my flowers that I have left tho. The mandevillas out on the patio are probably shot.

Congrats on the 40 Lb mark Betsy! Do you plan to keep going or just maintaining now?!
