Katie - tnkrbell (Sheri) cut my hair today...she said to say "HI!"

small world, huh?

:scared: Pfewh! Hot day, but got some stuff done!

Put down 12 bags of landscape rock and painted kids bathroom! (managed to somehow sit in paint AND get it in my hair!) <laughs at self>

RJ needs a glass of wine...:thumbsup2 (ok so, maybe I lied....on 2nd glass of wine)

Beano is grillin' chicken for our salads....:woohoo:

:grouphug: Love to all!

Sounds more like a BOTTLE of wine kind of day to me! :goodvibes

I'm glad SOMEBODY had a productive day - I wasn't moving real fast & didn't get a whole lot done:sad2:. I continued my camping obsession - went to Target & got a 2nd big Rubbermaid kind of storage bin to store the stuff in. I thought it would be useful for storing all of this stuff together and also for packing up the car - just keep everything organized together & then that way I can label what's in which bin & not have to make a new list each time! Anyway, I was concerned that I'd collected SO-O much stuff that we might need to get one of those soft rooftop car carrier things....so I did a "test pack" of my truck (Honda Pilot). DH wanted nothing to do with that one!:rotfl2: I got everything in (bins, coolers, sand chairs, beach umbrella, tent etc) except for the screened gazebo room thingy (which I didn't even bring up out of the basement but I think I could get it in if I tried). I can say for a fact that it's a good thing we only have 1 kid tho!:lmao: Now I have all of this crap sitting in our foyer / formal living room just waiting. So now IF WE GO next weekend it will make re-packing the truck a lot quicker so we can hit the road as soon as possible after work on Fri. (I really don't want to have to put the tent up in the dark by the headlights)!!:rotfl: Now if only the weather forecast will cooperate for a good beach weekend.....

I suppose today I'll do a little cleaning & :laundy: Hope everyone has a good day!

Glad RJ and Annie are being so productive. I've done a total of TWO loads of laundry:woohoo: and had to rest inbetween each one. The pnuemonia is coming back. This whole Hard-to-breathe thing is getting old. Small child is having a hard time with Mom being on the couch. Makes resting more like not resting.

Next weekend said small child and I are going to Texas to visit friends while moody teenager is sweating with the Crouton's. So, the mom calls to say, "we just picked up a new puppy." (With my doggie allergies and bad lungs - it ought to be an interesting trip :scared1: )

Ooh, ooh, RJ! Played Disney Scene It last night. That stinker Timmy beat us all. So, take him down next week, will ya'? :rolleyes1

I would like to go on a cruise now.:upsidedow

:wizard: Try to rest and get better Cheri!

I will give Timmy the "smack-down" in Disney Scene It!! ;)

Saw Ratatouille today...very cute, but got long in the middle..I kept forgetting I was watching an animated movie!

Gotta go upstairs and get my outfit and Rick's ironed for the party...

GET BETTER CHERI!

Hey all checking in to say howdy!

Getting baby's room put together this weekend. Fairly exhausting work I would say. Mom is helping. Neil is golfing.:sad2:

Cheri feel better!:cutie:

RJ - get out the can o' whoop butt

Betsy - you iron too!!?;)

:yay: Hi TZM

Annie - you may be the only person I know who "test packs":)

Think I need a blended strawberry lemonade. Man, I am exhausted today.
Finally broke down and bought baby name book. Anybody like Ainsley Lynn? Neil is really holding on to Lynn. and Erin. Ah the Irish in him. Oh and Shannon. Real original ain't he.

OK - we are off to somewhere. Ryan wants to see Rat-pa-tooty - guess that's in the commercial? I do not wanna sit through a movie. Guess Ryan has talked Grandma into buying her a dress. Gotta love it.

Thanks for the message, Betsy. While I havent seen tnkrbell around in a while we did talk a bit in the past...and our trips seem to just miss each other a lot. We are determined we will meet up one of these days.

Ophie, Sheri is tnkrbell on the Dis and she is the hairdresser. Trust me...no one wants me cutting their hair. :scared1:

Johnna, I have a name for you. I met a friend of my niece today and thought her name was so pretty....Taryn. I do like Ainsley though.

:wave2: Katie

Johnna: I still like Brenna the best...but hey, that's just me

What about: (these are from the Gaelic list Neil) :)

Ashlynn
Makenna/Makenzie
Raegen
Sheridan

Right back at ya, Ronnie Jo! :wave2:

And I do have to agree with RJ, Brenna is still my favorite...Brenna Quinn. :thumbsup2

Hi y'all. Hope you are having a good weekend. Ophie and I spent the day working on repairing our fence. We had to rent a demolition hammer (jack-hammer) to break up some concrete that was holding the old broken fence post. It was amazingly hot/humid outside so it was just so much fun. It was a 2 shower day so far today. Might squeeze in a third.

The other event of the weekend. There was an armed robbery last night at the house across the street. The man who was robbed is a Vietnam war vet with a plethora of guns at his disposal but he was outside in his yard. It is things like these that are just more of an incentive to get out of this place as soon as possible.

Geez-o-petes!!! :scared1:

Hope your neighbor is alright....

and that you're not too hot, sweaty, tired (or all of the above!)

And don't forget that the police responded to the call carrying M16s. Apparently they'd been chasing gang members all evening.

TZM and I should write a guidebook for people who are thinking of moving to Fla.

Ch1: Tips on Moving to Florida...

"DON'T!"

The End.

Shortest book ever! :teeth:

I'm sure there are some nice places in Florida to live :goodvibes

:confused3 aren't there??

I think I like Erin better than Lynn - especially with Brennna. Brenna Erin has a ring to it.... I like Shannon too, but that's too many syllables for me (with Brenna). Still voting for Brenna Quinn tho!:goodvibes

Well, my "test packing" may not come in handy until our rafting trip at the end of July. Unless the weather forecast improves I don't think we'll be going to the beach this weekend (as of this eve. they're calling for 77 and showers). We'll give it until Wed. before we decide for sure...but it's not looking so promising at this point!:sad1:

Cheri - you gotta shake that pneumonia! I hope you feel better soon!

There are places to live that are nice. Everyonce in a while for a couple of square miles, you find a nice spot. But to get out of that town you have to drive through some not so great places. Florida has fallen victim to itself. People come here from eveywhere looking for this great place. Well to have that great place, they need their Starbucks, McDonald's, Home Depot, Publix, Whole Foods, Fresh Market and of course Taco Bell. The people that work at those places need to live somewhere. So on their $7-$10/hr wage they are supposed to live where the average home value is $255K. It can't be done. Places in California are having the same issues I have read in WSJ. The rich folks forgot to set up places (nice places) for the people that work for them to live in. So, sooner or later they will have to start making their own lattes.
